you feel yourself getting hot, your face was probably a blushing mess by now. sunghoon knew exactly how to make you blush like crazy. screw him, you think.

you see his eyes look down at your lips, then back to your eyes.

he pushes a strand of your hair behind your ear. "may i?" he asks, and you nod — you couldn't deny the urge to kiss him anymore.

you feel his hands cup your face in the softest way possible. then he crashes his soft lips on yours.

butterflies take over your stomach. you feel numb as his lips is on yours, not wanting to let go of this moment. he kisses you softly, yet it's full of passion.

you sigh when he pulls away. you wanted more. you needed more of him. the first time wasn't enough — and so is this one. you go back in for another kiss, but you were interrupted.

"hey, lovebirds! get a room, will you?!?" you hear one of sunghoon's friends yell from afar.

you watch him step back on the court and dribble the ball. he sends you a wink as he gets ready to shoot the ball in the basket. you send him a flying kiss of good luck and the ball is up in the air.

you watch the ball fall through the basket as heeseung makes his way towards you. you clap, “impressive, seungie.” he mumbles a small “hm” before pulling you by the waist.

you stumble a bit, shocked by the sudden action of your boyfriend.

“where's my kiss, princess?”

god he looked so good right now, but you couldn't give in. not yet, at least. you wanted to tease him a bit more, make him work for you to get a kiss.

“um....uh....” he chuckles at your cuteness. he lifts your chin to get a better look of your face, your lips to be more specific.

“what was that, doll?” he smirks. screw him for using such petnames on you. it was your weakness, and he knew that. you put your arms around his neck and you move closer than before. you hear his breath hitch at your action.

you give him a peck on his cheek and smile at him. “here's your kiss!” you say, giggling at his mood change.

“oh come on! just give me one kiss on the lips, please?” he pouts, “i couldn't kiss you at all today! this is torture.” he whines.

“m’ sorry baby, come back here, i’ll give you an actual kiss this time. promise,” you tug at his arm to get him closer to you. you wrap your arms around his neck once more and this time, you kiss him on his lips.

he instantly melts into your lips. his hands travel down your waist, gently holding your figure as your lips dance against each other’s. you deepen the kiss, earning a groan from him.

you pull away from his lips, looking at him as tip toe to reach his ear. you whisper an ‘i love you’ before giving him another peck on the cheek.

“you drive me crazy.” he says breathlessly. you smile as you connect your lips with his again.

NOTE hai :3 i was writing this last night when i was tweaking out but yaaaaaass also i know it's not winter (in cali) anymore but idc .

you always hated cold weather. you hated how your hands would get obnoxiously cold and how dry your skin would feel. you hated the feeling of the cool wind blowing into your face — especially on days where it was extremely windy. you hated every aspect of winter.

except, this time around you feel warm.

your hands weren't always as cold as before as you had another hand to help keep warmth. high winds don't bother you as much because now you have two scarves wrapped around your neck. you suddenly found warmth in the season you hated so much.

your warmth was nishimura riki. his warm hands never leaving yours as you stroll through downtown at night — looking for midnight snacks.

“why are your hands so cold?” he asks, frowning at the sudden touch of your chilly hands.

“would you like my gloves? tell me why your hands are cold,” riki immediately starts taking off his own gloves to put on your hands — but you stop him.

“love,” you laugh at riki’s cuteness, “i'm fine. just hold my hand, please?” he nods and you smile when his hands come in contact with yours.

he brings your hand up to his lips to place a little kiss on it. he smiles as you giggle, “i swear you're going to freeze to death one day and im going to live a terrible life when you do.” you giggle softly at his remark. playfully rolling your eyes and acting annoyed. he wasn't quite wrong, though. you wouldn't be surprised either if you ended up frozen in your sleep.

“that's why you're here. my personal heater!” you exclaim. he scoffs, playfully rolling his eyes. “damn, not even the label 'boyfriend?’”

“okay fine. my personal heater boyfriend. happy?” you beam. he looks at you with full admiration in his eyes and you give him a peck on the lips. when you pull away you see a light shade of pink come across his cheeks, making you smile even more.

it goes silent for a moment.

"did you know that i hate winter? or more like hated," you confess. "i hated winter because i couldn't keep myself warm."

"ah...so you like the season now because i'm here to hold your hands, huh?" he chuckles.

you nod your head. "as i said, your my portable heater!" you giggle.

"what would you do without me, hm?"

"probably die." you roll your eyes at his remark

and suddenly, winter didn't feel so depressing. riki was always there to keep your hands and lips warm. when he would hug you it would be the best thing ever, especially on nights where it was extra cold. his body making sure the high winds didn't reach yours — you suddenly loved every aspect of winter.

you wished it was winter forever — laying in bed under the thick blankets, wanting some rest just to be smothered in kisses by him was everything to you.

he was your warmth, your sunshine.

YOU WERE TOP STUDENT AT YOUR SCHOOL... everyone called you the ace. You had everything everyone wanted — amazing friends, wealth, parents who looked out for you, being top of the class — you couldn't wish for anything more. But, you didn't care about those things. Not as much, at least. The only thing you had in sight was your grades — that 4.0 GPA, to push yourself to your limit, reach the stars and make an impact on the world before you passed.

You needed your grades to make a good impression on yourself. You needed to attend the top school. You studied countless hours, reviewing each and every topic that could possibly be on your test. It was all or nothing for you.

No one was able to achieve the grades you had. You were the top student — always landing number one on the school bulletin — you were everyone's role model. Everyone wanted to be you. No one dared to disrespect your name. It wasn’t possible for anyone to be on your level — or to even be higher than your level.

That was until a new student was admitted into the academy. His name? Yang Jungwon.

“Y/n! Have you seen the bulletin? Your name has dropped down to second rank!” Danielle says. You look at her in disbelief.

“Pfft. First place taken by someone else other than me? Yeah, right.” You scoff. “Dani, no one has ever taken my spot for the last 3 years — no way some rando is going to ruin my repu-” Just then Hanni enters the room, interrupting you mid way of your sentence.

“Y/n! You have got to look at this right now!” She exclaims breathlessly. She grabs your arm and pulls you up from your chair. “Come!”

“You too, Dani!”

Suddenly the three of you are running through the hallways, past all the mingling students. There was a crowd around the board.

“Hey! Get out of the way! We’re trying to see here!” Hanni yells, shoving through the crowd to make your way to the front. You spot Minji with her hand on her mouth. She was shocked.

You spot the other two girls with Minji — Haerin and Hyein — they looked horrified.

“Oh my god — move!” Danielle is pissed. No one would make way for the three of you. Suddenly the crowd parts and you hear students whisper.

“It’s Y/n…I wonder how she’s gonna react…”

“She’ll probably lose her shit, I don’t blame her though.” You hear from a student. Your heart beats faster and faster as you make your way to the old school board.

RANK ONE: YANG JUNGWON

RANK TWO: KANG Y/N

Your spot was indeed taken — and it was no longer your name. You gasped in horror. You couldn’t believe your eyes, you can’t. It’s just not possible — how could someone just take it in a blink of an eye?

You thought it was some sort of sick joke — a prank, even — to have a student, nonetheless a new one — to have higher marks than you. Your system was broken, destroyed by some random guy. Your grades started to falter while his only seemed to thrive on the number one spot you once owned…

"just came to visit my girlfriend, why?" he says with a grin planted on his face.

"you aren't supposed to be here dingus! my brother could come in my room at any point in time and-" he cuts you off with a kiss. a soft one, at that. you almost instantly melt in his mouth — but then you pull away in an instant.

"hey..." he pouts at your action. you look around the room before walking towards your bedroom door to lock it.

the thing is, jake is your heeseung's best friend. as for heeseung? well, he's your brother.

though he is a big pain in the ass — as in a huge pain — you will say that without him, you wouldn't be with your now boyfriend. heeseung was the only reason why you and jake even know each other in the first place.

"don't pout at me like that. you know what you're doing — or more like risking!" you say as you walk back towards the window. "you were just here, jake." you give him a stern look, showing that you weren't messing around right now.

but, he only looks at you with adoration present in his eyes. he chuckles at your words. "sweetheart, can't a man miss his girlfriend? plus, you were in your room half the time i was here! so i didn't even see you." he says as he closes your bedroom window that he just climbed through.

"it's not fair how heeseung gets to see you all time and i don't." he whines. he sits on your bed and watches you walk over to him.

you roll your eyes. "whatever jakey...you know i'm off limits — at least when my brother is around." you mumble, positioning yourself on his lap. "but, i suppose i missed you too..." you whisper softly, wrapping your arms around his neck.

he lets out a small hum before kissing you again — and this time you let yourself melt away. his soft plump lips on yours, moving in sync. he moved his hand that was once cupping your face down to your hips, drawing circles around them as he makes the kiss deeper.

you entangle your hands into his hair, leading him to let out a soft groan. you giggle as you continued to kiss him. you feel his arms snake up your spine, pulling you closer to him.

you slowly pull away from each other. "fuck, i missed kissing you." you giggle. you couldn't get enough of him — and he couldn't, either. he leans in for another kiss, but before he could do so you hear a knock on your door.

"yah y/n! where the hell did you put my headphones!?" of course it's your brother. always ruining the damn mood. you roll your eyes before getting off jake's lap to retrieve the black headphones sitting on your desk.

"hello? y/n i swear to-"

you open the door before he anything else comes out of his mouth. "here, now leave me alone!"

"where's my thank you?"

you groan. "thanks for letting me use them, dumbass."

"yah! that's no way to speak to your older bro-" you slam the door on him.

"hey! jake you better not be doing any silly business with my sister! at least when i'm here!" he says, muffled by the door.

"Y/n, can I tell you a secret?" Jake asked, scooting closer to you on the apartment couch.

You nodded at him. "Yeah sure, what is it?" You look the other way and lean in towards him, allowing him to whisper in your ear his "secret". You heard him sigh and felt his breath fan over your ear and shoulder, sending shivers down your spine.

You felt your cheeks become hot. He then leaned closer to your ear — expecting him to say whatever he wanted to tell you — but you were instead greeted with his thumb on your chin, tilting your head back towards him.

"Jake, what are you-" Before you could say anything else you were greeted by his soft lips on yours. You felt your legs grow weak. Was your best friend really kissing you right now?

The way he kissed you was soft and slow, yet so feverish and needy. The way his veiny and rough hands cupped your face so gently and how his lips moved on yours was heaven to you. Your hands made its way up to his hair, entangling your fingers through the black strands. You felt him smirk as his lips were still on yours before pulling away.

There was a moment of silence, eyes locked on each other's — the tension in the room was almost palpable. You were both out of breath but yet the need to kiss each other was overwhelming. You wanted more. You needed more.

"Was that your secret?" You asked in a teasing voice.

"Yeah. You liked it?"

"Eh. Could be better." You grinned as you leaned in for another kiss.
