He bends his legs half-way to get into position prior to propelling himself up in the air to get close to the dragon’s face. Dark Paladin rises his sword up, perhaps to give the wrong impression at first. Light reflecting in dark teal armor, the sharp edges in solid gold akin to the color of his now narrowing eye. A smirk forms from underneath.

He quickly switches his right hand with his left hand, moving the sword back. And then— he gives the dragon a boop on his snoot with the tip of his index finger.

I’d like to think that Dark Magician observes Kaiba from afar. He’s already sensed and seen enough that confirms that Kaiba is pretty much almost (if not completely) God-like. Closest to the Pharaoh, to Atem. And, in our rps specifically, he was able to witness Kaiba’s true power as closest as possible, plus getting a taste of being on his side of the field once. Even he knows that his rivalry with the Pharaoh is no small thing. He has an idea that Kaiba might’ve had relations to the Pharaoh in the past. But because his memories aren’t the most vivid, he doesn’t know whose Soul is Kaiba holding. Simultaneously, as I’ve mentioned, he feels a connection with it. This is why he was also willing to co-operate and listen to Kaiba. Plus, he’s thankful for his help in the end. He has a whole new impression of Kaiba, basically.

Dark Paladin… LooooL. He— is a living disaster. Buster Blader is vindictive in my view, tough, and likes to play hard. Dark Magician is more reserved, but is the brains of the two, and the additional muscle, ofc— which makes Dark Paladin the perfect mix of… Cheeky wise guy. LOL. That speaks in slang. SO. If you combine (my) DM’s view on Kaiba and Buster Blader’s eager to cut things in half, (especially dragons), you get the perfect love-hate balance right there LOL. So, Dark Paladin is equally drawn to Kaiba as he wants to channel his inner sadist by being the devil on the field while feeding on Kaiba’s angery. BU

Piercing gold eyes are trained on some invisible spectre, sharp eyelids a fraction too slow to blink, irises too stationary. Not a flinch. These aureate eyes now shift down to the woman, conveying emotional indifference. Fingertips akin to the sharp end of a knife pointed to his neck. Carve in, see what happens. But that doesn’t seem to be the case.

He shares no other emotion than nonchalance. A habit he’s used to since he was created via a fusion and summoned on the field. Both monsters are the boost of power so immense, destructive magic— the expression of the sword is the accent of the heart that holds it. Cold and punishing. He fears nothing.

A glare, an indicator that any emotional bond has been switched off. Her words ring in his ears but it doesn’t change a thing. He’s not fazed whether he’s liked or disliked. Shut every connection and ability to feel so he could be at his strongest points when he’s got to work his powers against another monster. It’s something born by instinct. Dark Magician – reserved, concealing any form of thought being readable on a stoic face. Buster Blader – if aggression was a person, merciless and straight to bloodshed.

Eyes stare at her just briefly before he turns his head to the side. If only she knew how he sounds like when he were to speak… She might not be expecting it. As quiet as he can be, he can be just as loud. Right now, he chooses silence as a statement that he’s in a calm mood.
