Too late, it was already being launched. White Lightning burst out, drawn to one of the magic cylinders and shooting out of the other, aimed directly at Kaiba. Smacking into him head-on, and sending the proud CEO flying backwards, landing flat on his back.

This wasn't going to be a good day.

Akefia narrowed his eyes. Mahad had no right to be this sad in front of him. None whatsoever. Yet, the thief felt strangely responsible. Or, at least, he felt the call to not be an absolute monster in response to it. It felt low to attack someone who was, for whatever reason, having a hard time as it was.

He hears the voice yelling, think he was going insane as he was running through the island, trying to figure out where everyone was and get used to the setting and the fact that he had no way to go home, nobody to talk to.

He was pretty sure he was hearing voices because of the lack of company. He looked down at where he was running and stopped mid run and fell over. The sand broke his fall, but he looked up at the sky and could have sworn he saw a familar being close by. Maybe it was just the heat playing tricks on him.

Breathe. The sun lays heavy cross your back. You are alive. Atum allows himself to stand. Body half standing in the nile, the waters cooler in this muggy heat. He breathes, the heat had been to the extremes, but here he stands. Atum is aware that he should not be sneaking out so often but the place is sometimes far too stuffy and he rather walk among his people for a viewing of how they feel.

She nodded her head respectfully in turn. Designator had certainly never met this particular magician, but everyone had at least heard of him in the Different Dimension. He was one of the few to have ‘innate access to The Field’ which meant that not only did he have free permissions to access that forbidden dimension at any time, but that it was his homeworld. Knowing much more was certainly above her paygrade, however. “You’re the one called the Dark Magician, are you not? I’m the Designator, and I’m with the Different Dimension. I’ve come to ask you some questions.”

It was for show, to be annoying, and he fought the urge to look back at Mahad to see if it was working. "Not that strong, though. No, you have no independence of your own and that's the biggest weakness you could have. So dependent on the Pharaoh as though he means everything to you, like you can't even live without him. Pathetic. You'd do anything to protect him and it will be your downfall."
