The small town life had never been enough for Roxie Stryker and from a very young age, all she longed to do was escape the hell that south central Ohio had offered her. Born in Middletown Ohio and into the system, Roxie had contracted HIV from her mother during gestation and was born with the awful disease that would plague her all the years of her life. Hopping from foster home to foster home was no good for the young girl’s psyche and she developed an obsession for the day that she would pack up and escape the mediocrity of her Midwestern home. As any dreamer would, Roxie headed to New York City the day she turned eighteen and not for one moment did she ever look back. Still, all the freedom in the world placed into a young girl’s hands could sometimes lead to danger and her case was no exception. Entering the city with pure intentions, it wasn’t long before she found herself strapped for cash and began stripping which was only the beginning of her decent. The worst was yet to come and she started down the road to addiction with her very first hit, the very first needle that entered her pure veins. Since that moment, the twenty-year old has struggled with her vices and though she would want to quit, she just can’t find the motivation. College always looms in her mind and she often considers taking the next step to better her life, but as of the moment, drugs have become an endless cycle and she continues to strip to get her next fix.
