The two appear to be chatting with 2 other students that have joined them. The girl notices his approach though, and gives a small wave.

"Why hello! I saw you in the crowd during our duel! Did you need something?" She seemed to be incredibly cheery and high energy, and had a goofy grin across her face. The blonde boy turned to look as well, giving a small bow and a wink.

Sumi walked down the school hallway. It had been a long day, and she frankly just wanted to get home.  As she was walking however, she overheard a couple of students passing her by talking about something.... Interesting.

“Hey, did you hear?  Those 2 seniors are gonna be sword fighting again today.”

“Wait, really?  There’s no way we’re missing it again, yeah?”

“Oh 100%! I think they're gonna be in one of the courtyards”

“Well, lead the way dude!”

Sumi watched quietly as the two headed off.  A sword fight?  In the school?  Was this like, a common thing?  Well, there was only one way to find out, so she began discretely following the two from a distance.  Soon enough, she could hear what sounded like cheering and the sound of steel hitting steel.  When she finally emerged into the courtyard, she couldn’t believe her eyes.

There was a large circle of students, and within it’s center was what Sumi assumed to be the 2 seniors, who were indeed sword fighting.  This whole thing was really strange, but at the same time....

Damn was it cool.

here they are, the new boys and girl-

i..... have no clue what im doing for most of em as far as stands go atm, so im just gonna list some general character info stuff-

-Taiana is pretty much just a goofy and outgoing girl who is completely invested in becoming a knight one day, even though they aren’t really a thing anymore. She is incredibly skilled with a sword.

-Saino is very shy, but not exactly timid and pretty much shares a braincell with Taiana.  He is incredibly skilled at growing plants.

-Theo is the only Dracheilig with multiple braincells, and is an inventor in his spare time. He’s very self conscious about his appearance however, fearing people will think he is a monster.

-Jacian is quite similar to Taiana in personality, though he acts more so as if he is royalty.  Technically speaking, he actually is a knight to some degree, and his intentions are largely unknown.

-Anthony, or Anton, is Jacian’s right hand man and closest friend.  He’s pretty ordinary besides that, but his dedication to helping and supporting those he cares for is unrivalled. 

-Gabbrielli is actually rumored to be royalty of some sorts, though if that is actually true or not is unknown.  However, these rumors, in tangent with his bright demeanor and... well, being a pretty anime boy, has lead to him being considered a bit of a heartthrob.  

some other stuff:

-Taiana and Saino are twins (with Taiana being like a minute older), and Theo is their older brother.

-All of the characters, with the exception of Theo, are Seniors in high school (though their ages still vary between 17 and 18) 

-Taiana and Jacian are rivals, and have gained a reputation for having duels in the front of the school on a regular basis.  These usually attract a crowd, though they always end in a draw.

-Anton is not the only person who looks up to Jacian; He actually is quite popular, and most of his friends or even just close acquaintances would do near anything for him.

-Taiana’s ‘Visor’ (the black shadow over her eyes) is just a mask of sorts that Theo made for her because she thought it would be cool.  It is.

-Theo’s appearance is caused in large part due to his stand’s power; It is irreversible, and the only part of it he can control is his wings, which he can manifest and retract at will.

-Yes Theo is part dragon, and so are his siblings.  No I will not elaborate, this is JoJo’s I’m like 90% sure weirder shit has happened.

-Saino aids Taiana on most, if not all, of her Knightly Escapades (TM).  They’re pretty much an inseparable duo most of the time.

-Jacian is just extra.  Like, minor Fire Emblem villain level of extra.  This man will eat a McDonalds burger with a fork and a knife using the finest china in his whole goddamn house.

-Gabbrielli is just a good boy who wishes people would stop hitting on him.  He’s good friends with Saino and Taiana, and will occasionally be the voice of reason, but more often then not will just get dragged into whatever shenanigans they're doing at the moment.

“A wh- Huh???” Jacian just sat there, trying to even process what had just been said to him while Taiana stifled a laugh. 

“I mean, I guess that would be a good comparison, yeah.  Though neither of us really fit the role of the rose bride.

....Gab kind of does though.”  She tries again to stifle her laughter, pointing at a blue haired boy not that far off from them, who simply gives her a look as if to say ‘Why are you like this.’

Meanwhile Jacian still just has absolutely no idea what is happening.

Jacian stood on the balcony of his apartment, gazing out into the sunrise over the town.  It was Christmas morning, and though he had expected to feel the cheer of the season, he knew that his day would be lonely until the evening.  He sighed, taking a sip of his tea, and walked back into his apartment.  Suddenly, he heard a knock on his door, and shortly after the sound of someone running away.  That was.... Quite odd.  He cautiously opened the door, only seeing a wrapped gift before him, with a tag that read “To the Noble Sir Jacian”.  He picked it up, noting that it was quite light, and looked down the hallway to see if the sender was still in view.  He saw no one however, and so simply closed his front door.  He sat down on his couch, and opened the gift.  Within there was a small card, and what appeared to be a brooch adorned with a white lily, satin bow, and tassel; the brooch itself had a crown engraved into it.  He decided to read the card first, which was completely filled with text due to its small size. It read:

“Sir Jacian Von Rittedel; I wish you the very best on this holiday, though I am sure a man as charismatic as yourself is already in good company on this occasion.  Alas, I still deemed it necessary to send you some good will of my own, as you are someone that I fear my life would not be the same without.  And so, I offer to you a piece fitting of your station: A golden brooch embellished with your favorite bloom and you trademark tassel, as well as a fine bow that has been blessed to bring fortune.  Not to take away from your look, but alas, I found your former brooch to be a bit drab in contrast to your flamboyant aura (I mean that in the best possible way of course, there’s a reason you are so loved by those who know you).  I hope that this gift is to your liking, and once again, I wish you the absolute best on this wonderful Christmas day.

Jacian smiled.  A secret friend?  Hm, a nice try at anonymity, but he knew who this was from as soon as he saw the packaging.  Besides, only one as like minded as his Eternal Rival could know his refined taste this well.  And by that he meant his favorite flower.  Jacian gently lifted the brooch from the box, bringing it with him to the adjacent room and grabbing his cape in order to try it on.  

It was a bit busy, sure, but.... He loved it.  And the craftsmanship... He could only guess that it had taken Taiana days to make it.  He felt an unfamiliar feeling in his chest, and he noticed that his face had turned a bit red.  What was this?  Did he.... No, that was impossible. Simply impossible. Taiana was a rival and nothing more, despite her insistence on calling him a friend.  But still..... What did this feeling mean?  He pondered this, before realizing something much more urgent.  He couldn’t just let her get away with giving him a surprise gift!  He ran back into his main room, heading over to a small sewing desk in the corner, and grabbing the finest silk and thread he could find.  Two could play at the surprise gift game, and on his honor as a knight he would not fail!  The gift would come a bit late, sure, but he would simply make it perfect in order to compensate.  The Great Jacain Von Rittedel would not lose to his rival, even in the art of gifts!

“Oh, Jacian! Over here!”  The blue-haired girl waved him over to where she was standing, alongside Gabbrielli and Kyō.  He walked over, rubbing his head.  The weekend had been rough, especially with all the extra training he had put in, but in the end he believed it would be worth it.

“Good morning.  May I ask, why exactly are you three sitting in this area of the hall?”  Not to mention why it was these three in specific.  Taiana and Gabbrielli he could understand, but as far as he know Kyō had never really spoken to either of them, save a passing greeting.

“Well, it seems they have hired a new teacher, and are splitting the two classes to make a third.” Gabbrielli gestured to the paper taped up on the wall.  “It appears all four of us are in the new class, so really we’ve just been waiting for you to arrive.” 

“Ah, I see.”  That explained it.  But still, it was a bit sad that he would no longer be in a class with Anton, there was not much he could do about it.  

Kyō stood there silently, prompting Taiana to look over at her.  “Oh yeah, you’re one of Jacian’s friends, Kyō, right?  I think we’ve talked before, but still I look forward to getting to know you better!”  She grins, giving a thumbs up.  Kyō looks... A bit taken aback, her face turning a bit red. 

“Oh, um... The feeling is mutual, Dracheilig-san” she gives a small bow.  Before anyone even has a chance to say anything else, a group of girls seemingly appears out of nowhere and swarms Gabbrielli, beginning to talk all at once.

“Kyaaaa, Gabbrielli-kun! I can’t believe we’re in the same class now, isn’t that great?”

“Me too! Me too! Now we can see each other everyday Gabbrielli-kun!”

“Aw, but now you’re leaving my class... Don’t forget about me Gabbrielli-kun! I’ll bring you gifts everyday, so you can’t”

The chattering continues, with Gabbrielli looking like he wants to be anywhere else, despite the smile on his face, and the other three just looking on in shock, not even sure of what to say.

“I.... shall just head inside of the classroom.” Kyō slowly backed away, still as composed as ever but clearly not willing or able to deal with the current situation.  

“Yeah, sorry Gabbrielli, but you’re on your own. See you in class!”  And with that, Taiana turned to jog towards the classroom, dragging Jacian along with her by his arm.  As soon as she grabbed him, his face turned red for a second.

“Wh- You cannot just grab my arm without warning!”

“Yeah, yeah but I can’t just let you get caught up in that mess.  We got a duel later, remember?”

“Yes of course, I would never forget.”  He gently pulled his arm free, straightening himself and fixing his crevat before giving Taiana a serious look.  “I will warn you though.  I have trained excessively for this, so do not expect me to go down so easy.”

“Oh? Well, it seems we both had the same strategy then.”  She returns his look, grinning. “So, may the best man win, as always.”

He gave her a smirk in return. “Of course.”

It was the end of the day, and Taiana and Jacian were heading to the courtyard for their duel, making small talk as they went.  

“You have to agree though, the new teacher is really weird. Like, he randomly just went on a ten minute tangent about vampires!  I mean, I wouldn’t be surprised if they did exist, considering... You know.  But still! We were learning math!”

Jacian chuckled.  He had to admit, even though he had even met Taiana because of his duty, he did quite enjoy talking to her.  And even though he didn’t particularlly want that to end.... This duel would most likely be the last.  

They made it to the courtyard, setting down their things and getting into position.  As always, a small crowd had formed around the two, and Saino and Anton had arrived with water and such for after the duel had concluded.  As they began, it was clear to see that their blows were faster and more powerful than previously.  The duel was intense, with Jacian mainly playing the offensive while Taiana was forced into defense, but in the end it was a draw as always.  

Jacian was conflicted.  On one hand, he once again had failed to fulfill his duty, and yet... He didn’t feel entirely disappointed.  Not to mention that that feeling he had been trying his best to ignore was once again growing unexplainably.  What was going on? And more importantly, how had Taiana managed to match his training?  He was... impressed.

“Hey, are you alright?” Anton asked, shaking him from his thoughts.

“I am fine, just... Lost in thought is all.”  He went back to thinking.  Just what exactly was going on with him?  And more importantly, why?

Taiana’s real strength and self confidence comes from protecting others; With that said, if she ever was unable to protect someone she loved/cared about then she would probably fall into a not-so-great mental state.

Despite living alone, Jacian still has a great relationship with his mother.  They talk nearly everyday.

Gabbrielli was walking to school, jotting in a small notebook as he went. It was peaceful, and the sound of birds chirping could be heard in the still morning air. Ah, how he enjoyed the peace... but it was ended abruptly as someone half tackled him from behind.

"Morning Gab!" said a familiar voice, as the boy attempted to regain his composure (which was a bit diffucult, as he was currently being noogied)

"Ack... Good morning to you too Taiana.... You're kinda choking me though..."

Upon hearing this, she released him immediately. "Ah! Sorry, Sorry!" She rubbed the back of her head, now standing besides him rather than behind.

"It's fine, just maybe be a bit more gentle next time?" He gave a smile, while trying to fix his hair. At the same time, he tucks his notebook away in his pocket. The peace may have dissipated, but it would still be nice to finish the walk with a friend. In a way, this was still the calm before the storm.

"Yeah, sorry again.... I'll have to be more gentle with the mighty prince next time, lest I seek to incur the wrath of a thousand fangirls." She started laughing, and Gabbrielli cringed a bit.

"God, don't remind me...." He sighed. "I still don't get why it's only me. You and Jacain sword fight every other week, and sure alot of people think you guys are cool but I'm sure you don't have love letters to deal with daily!" He realized that he had been raising his voice. "Ahem... Apologies, I got a bit worked up..."

Taiana shrugged. "Hey, it's fine. But uh i think you just answered your own question. Yeah, people think Jacain and I are cool and all, but they're probably intimidated by us as a result. And it doesn't help that I can be... A bit bad at reading the room 100% of the time, or that Jacain basically has an army at this point. But you're generally just.... approachable I guess? No one ever seems intimidated by you atleast." She grinned, before shrugging again. "Plus being a prince AND a pretty boy probably doesnt hurt either, heh."

"Yes, but still-" He stopped talking, noticing that they had reached the school. Taiana stood up straight, and put her hands on her hips.

"Well, I wish you the best of luck Prince Gabbrielli!" She gave him a hearty pat on the back. "But it is now time for me to depart! Taiana, away!" And with that she sprinted off, leaving Gabbrielli alone. He took a deep breath, and stepped into the school.

And was promptly swarmed with people. Love letters gifts.... By the time it was all over, his arms were completely full. He did his best to get over to his locker and open it, before promptly shoving all of the objects in his arms inside. He sighed as he closed the locker, not even noticing the person approaching him from behind.

"It appears that they were quite... fierce today."

"Oh, hello Jacain." Gabbrielli turned around to face the other boy. "Yes, yes they were."

Jacian sighed, placing his hand on his chest dramatically. "I mean no offense when I say this, but.... I do not envy you in the slightest Gabbrielli."

Gabbrielli chuckled at this, replying "None taken. Honestly, I think I would be offended if you DID envy me. Though I suppose you have your own issues with your... fans." Jacain broke composure upon hearing this, staying quiet for a few seconds as if trying to think of a good retort.

"Well, I would not call it a problem, per say.... They are just eager to learn, and they look up to me! I cannot just abandon them, my knight's honor forbade that!" He once again poses dramatically, and Gabbrielli laughs again.

"Apologies Sir Great Knight Jacain, I shall not speak little of you or your platoon again." He continued giggling, and Jacian pouted a bit.

"Hmph. Well if you want to be like that..." Jacain smirked "Then permit the Great Knight to escort his Prince to class, lest he fall victim to his 'fans' oncemore." Gabbrielli tried to stifle his laughter once more. At the very least, he could always count on his friends to cheer him up. And really, what more could he ask for?
