Silent. That was the way the servant would watch the one foolish enough to approach him, idly swirling the wine around in the golden chalice he had in hand right now. He had been... far from the most compliant of individuals to be summoned to this place, despite what it was meant for and his assistance was required for; yet when he had been needed most he had provided such, with a touch of his own ego of course. That being said though, there was no such thing going on at this exact moment so the fact that he was being approached by a human was amusing it an of itself to the King.

" Hmm? " Being approached like this was... not something that he was overly used to, with his reputation. And the question itself happened to surprise him all the more, considering just where he resided after all! Everyone has had to spill at least some sort of blood to get down here of all places, after all. But that aside, he decided to humor the bold one's little question for a time; he could recall all the things he did back in the human world just fine, but he had added a number of additional items to his list of achievements since landing himself in hell. Honestly, recalling all of it happened to bring out an amused little chuckle in that unique voice of his... it had all been so much fun.

But alas, enough time had been spent reminiscing on the past! There was still so much for him to do, both in the future and in the present! Things like dealing with this bold little anon, and their little question.

He could never hurt her, huh? Those were some pretty... bold words, all things considered. Especially given what he was-- what both of them were. Causing death and destruction is pretty much the exact purpose of a Herrscher; he was just lucky enough to be able to overcome the influence that would have set him on that path through being a remnant of who Liam was and the sheer hate he felt for everything that has been done, and she was a special case. But even so the very nature of the power he and Liam possess was far more cruel; Energy absorption.

Liam and H.L. both had managed to gain a grasp upon the power they possessed as this era’s Herrscher of Binding, but it was a very fragile one. The power itself desired to constantly be on-- constantly siphoning anything that got close regardless of whether it was a friend, a foe, or anything else. It truly was a power that had a mind of its own, and it was because of that fact that this personality was well aware of just how dangerous he truly was to things while Liam was a little ways behind. But he would let out a heavy sigh at it all, especially considering he could easily condemn much more than just Psychi to death in an instant with where they all resided.

“ ... You should be a little more careful with what you say, Psychi. You and Sentience both are well aware of the nature of my power... and while I would never consciously hurt either of you, the possibility is always there. “

Fuck With My Muse

@ancientforged Inquired: 21: withhold food from my muse Mobius' going to withold food from Elysia until she agrees to some experiments.

Wasting no time at all, the Herrscher would lightly puff out one of her cheeks in a pout at the antics of her fellow flame chaser; she had initially been somewhat confused as to why Mobius had come to her with food, but the other rapidly made it clear that she wasn't going to share it with her unless Elysia happened to do whatever it was she wanted. And considering that this was Mobius that she was interacting with at the moment, it was pretty clear what she wanted-- some sort of experiment. Honestly, this tactic was absurdly ineffective considering Elysia could just as easily go and get food for herself; the thing that was upsetting her, was the fact that the other felt the need to resort to this sort of a method to get her to try helping with something.

Though being fair, the outlook the two had for each other wasn't... fully shared all things considered.

" Mobi-chan, " As she finally began speaking, she allowed that puffed up cheek to deflate. " if you wanted my help with one of your experiments, you could have just asked! What sort of experiments have you been up too that you'd want me to help with? "

@ancientforged Inquired: Is your character more likely to remove a problem/threat, or remove themselves from a problem/threat?

This is honestly one of those questions that has a different answer depending upon which muse you are asking about-- limiting it to my currently listed muses (because I have a lot more than what I just have listed), things would likely be as follows. Thrown under a read more purely for the fact that I'm doing eight/nine muses on this.

Muses that are more likely to remove a problem/threat -

Silas

Hands down, Silas tends to deal with all of his problems by removing them-- and considering what most of them are, it isn't overly surprising. Things like the Divinity Engine, the Svafrlami, and a number of other things in his world (especially when they know just what he happens to be) aren't just things that he can "walk away from"; even if they can't kill him, the things that they can still do-- mainly to the world and most of the people in it-- is horrifying. Which admittedly is something that people would likely think he wouldn't bother concerning himself with, what with how things have gone for him; but he still feels an obligation to do things because of the very thing that he had once set out to do so long ago with his closest friends, and if you add the fact that he has a family now into the situation that reasoning only grows that much stronger.

Elster

Much like Silas, Elster tends to deal with most of her problems by dealing with them-- though rather than sharing the feelings he has on things, it is largely because of the facts that she was designed specifically to do just that (since her model line was designed to be on a two person space craft launched into deep space, where she would have to do most of the maintenance and work) but also because of the fact that she had been locked into the nightmare that she had been in for so long. It is literally do or die for her, which is actually very ironic for her considering she was... denied death, when after finally managing to complete the task laid out for her in that endless nightmare she stirred in the remains of her ship. And considering the fact that she managed to repair it without perishing a second time, it isn't much of a stretch to say that things really enjoy kicking her.

Alastor

Alastor more often than not tends to deal with most of his problems, though he isn't a fool about things. Though that tends to expand to only things of "lower" positioning in the grand scheme of things, such as bearing witness to something that he... dislikes from lower strength demons/humans or the subject of boredom, which he actively seeks out things to combat with; as for when demons foolish enough to seek him out for a fight appear, that is where things can differ. Anyone less than a fellow Overlord who fails to actually amuse him with their attempt is... swiftly dealt with, though with the usual lack of effort he puts into dealing with such events the fate of his assailant is often a coin toss. If they manage to entertain him, he will derive great amusement from the encounter and very likely draw it out before ending it once it has begun to bore him-- more often than not with the death of the one who assailed him.

Now when it comes to issues with those more powerful than him, or at the least right around his strength, he tends to be far more restrained. In the case of the latter he could easily slip back into the spree that he is most infamously known for, but more often than not he decides merely to leave (with one exception, even if he won't start an open fight due to the fact that he would be at a numbers disadvantage). He sees no real point in entertaining the aggravation that they tend to cause him, though in the case of those stronger than him he will more often than not pay the modicum of respect they deserve depending upon who they are.

Liam/H.L.

Being two personalities of the same person, it makes sense that these two would deal with things the same way-- though it would also make some sense if they didn't. But considering their position as the captain of the Hyperion, head of a massive squad of Valkyries, and effectively a third party not fully affiliated with any of the three big groups in the battle against the Honkai (though he frequently works with AE, to the point where it would be easy to make the mistake of him being affiliated with that group), he has to deal with most of his problems head on. Though in the case of Liam proper that extends largely to just the tasks related to his position and those who have their own work, such as Himeko and Theresa who frequently attempt to sneak their work onto him or otherwise break rules he put upon the ship. Against a number of the different Valkryie on his ship though, such as HoV, he takes more after the second stance even if he can't really just walk away from it.

H.L. on the other hand is pretty much the opposite, not seeing any real reason restrain his stance towards anyone on the ship-- be they fellow Herrschers, Valkyrie, scientists, Ai Chan (though this one is definitely shared with Liam). He deals with any and all problems that he happens to face, to the point where some of those under their command have had to run interference to prevent things from getting so bad on the ship that it would likely end up being destroyed-- like the incident with Bella and HoV in the past.

Muses that are more likely to remove themselves from a problem/threat -

Paimon

Being perfectly honest, Paimon has the will to want to deal with problems that happen to come her way but... she really lacks much in the way of being able to do anything about them. Most of the time she has to rely upon others to help her deal with most situations, and that isn't taking into account her lack of combat ability-- the best she can do with a good chuck of problems is get someone to help her with them. That being said, a fair number of common problems that possibly come her way are things that she can take care of; things such as helping guide people when they are lost, carrying small amounts of things, and the like are things that she will gladly do herself if she has the chance to.

Eula

Eula is another one that it really depends upon what particular type of problem she is dealing with; if she is dealing with something that her duty as the Spindrift Knight puts her up against, such as Hilichurls or any number of other things that seek to inflict harm upon the people of Mondstat (or really anyone else in Teyvat for the most part), she will actively attempt to deal with it herself. But when it comes to the things she has to deal with on a far more frequent basis, she prefers to just... let things go. Whether it comes from the public, or those she is supposedly connected to doesn't matter to her; unless things cross a point where she has to deal with it as a Knight, she will more likely than not just walk away.

Bonus category, Muses that are almost certainly one such problem

Lycoris

I know I don't have much of anything up for her at the moment, but one person specifically cough Zefir cough and those who can recall one of the two previous iterations of this blog (probably back before I had it as a mixed multimuse with both OCs and Canon muses, but it has been long enough I can't really recall which one it was on) likely wouldn't be too surprised by this classification. Lycoris lives to be the problem/threat; killing, maiming, making people suffer in just about any way that she can imagine is pretty much what she makes her life's work, and she is very good at it. Though considering she was created pretty much specifically to do exactly this, that honestly shouldn't come as too much of a surprise-- instead what should come as a surprise is that even with as well as she took to that, is that she's elected to ignore the main reason she was created in pursuit of what she enjoys doing instead.

Leviatha

Leviatha is another one that I don't have much of anything listed on, but she definitely ends up being in this category-- even if she can fall into either of the other two depending upon the situation. Her main concern is, much like Lycoris, pretty much doing as she pleases; which rather than killing, maiming, or otherwise causing suffering and destruction, she prefers to find people to add to her "collection". And she has been at this for a VERY long time, considering her own outer realm is a legitimate kingdom filled with all of the people that she has decided to just that with-- and then some. There are entire worlds that she has decided to latch onto, where not a single soul was left safe from her hands; and she can freely make use of all of them. That being said though if she perceives something as a threat or problem, depending upon the trouble it might cause her she could react either way; if it will cost her too much she'll likely just leave it alone unless there are large things at stake, and if she can more easily deal with it she will likely do just that.

Valentines Day Asks

@imaginariaarbor Inquired: [Akashic to Alaric] She's just offering up some chocolate for him to try if he so wants it. Akashic might not fully celebrate the human holiday but hey- it's an excuse to spend more time with the God—

The instant that the other happened to present him with the chocolate that she had brought along for today's... "excuse" for visiting him, his gaze flickered down to it. That was the typical custom for humans on this holiday, wasn't it? To give chocolate or other such things to the one they loved as a romantic gesture-- Or in some realms, it was the side of the spectrum for women to do such things and men would have a time at a later date. He had no reason to follow such a holiday structure, but all things considered... he saw no reason to decline. Especially not since it was from Akashic.

Wasting no further time he would take one of offered chocolates, bringing it closer to his face to inspect it closer before plopping it into his mouth and started to chew as he allowed his eyes to close. It was... sweet. Not overly sweet, but a good balance between the natural bitterness of the chocolate and the natural sweetness of the sugar. It wasn't bad.

Once done with that particular piece, he would allow his eyes to slowly open; shortly after he would take another piece between two fingers, looking at it for a brief time before his gaze would flicker to her face. Needless to say amusement had crept into the smile that he had, starting from the moment he picked up that second piece of chocolate and growing all the way to the point that his gaze changed targets-- and then his hand would begin moving towards her face. It was pretty clear what his intentions were with this, at least.

Valentines Day Asks

@imaginariaarbor Inquired: [Psychi to Liam] He's going to come in from paperwork to find her cooking in one of his longer shirts- ears swiveling at his arrival. "Liam~ It'll be ready in a short bit here~" The female chimed happily, tail flicking back and forth. The table had already been set as well. Seems she had been busy with the Valentine's dinner plans.

Immediately he would blink... several times in fact. He knew that Psychi hadn't been with him working on things today, which he had no issues with since it was his duty to do them-- and she had been helping a lot lately, so she deserved some rest. And the fact that she was clearly in one of HIS longer shirts told him that she had been doing just that; however the fact that she had gotten up at some point to start making them a dinner for today, complete with an already set table, was not something he had been expecting her to do.

But then it happened to hit him. It was Valentine's Day.

He had been so busy with his work that he had lost track of the days, and hadn't realized that it was Valentine's Day! Immediately he would let out a soft sigh, a smile working its way to his features. It was a good thing that at least one of them happened to remember... though he was fully aware of the fact that he would get ripped into by his own other personality for it later. Probably whenever he was done harassing Sentience for the holiday, if he had to hazard a guess. That was definitely another issue for another time though.

" ... Thanks, Psychi. " Instead of heading straight for the table however, he instead moved to her side. " It smells really good. If there is anything that I can do to help out, let me know okay? You help me out enough that its mine turn to return the favor. And since I didn't say it this morning, happy Valentine's Day. "

Valentines Day Asks

@imaginariaarbor Inquired: [Zhen to Silas] "Silas~! Happy Valentine's day!" She chirped happily, humming in delight before letting out a noise of happiness as she offered him some homemade cookies and sweets. Very happy Zhen chirping.

To say that he had been taken by surprise by Zhen's sudden happy chirping would have been... quite the understatement. Valentine's Day, huh? Quick to recover from his surprise, he would be blatantly lying to say that his mind didn't drift over to just how strange it still felt to celebrate this particular holiday. He had only done it twice, both since he had met with her and since he had allowed himself freedom after all. It was only natural.

" Happy Valentine's to you too, Zhen. " After responding to her greeting, his gaze would travel down to the platter that she happened to be holding, taking in the sight of what she had decided to make for him. These cookies and sweets were very clearly homemade-- there were some distinct appearance indicators that could only pop up in their home present upon them, which obviously gave it away. Alongside the fact that they clearly weren't made by a machine too, of course.

Though once he had registered that she had made him something for this particular holiday, he felt a twinge of guilt... he hadn't done anything for her! But at the moment there wasn't too much he could do about that fact-- aside from share the treats with her while he put some thought into things, that is! And that was exactly what he was going to do, since he elected to grasp at a single one of the cookies rather than take the entire dish from her.

" Thanks for the treats, Zhen. Why don't we find a good spot to sit and share them? "

" Oh, I HIGHLY doubt that. " There was... amounts of truth to that fact that the other either did, or did not know. And honestly he didn't really care much about whether happened to be the case; she was the child of him. The one responsible for so much of his suffering all that time ago-- the one who took the first person he had ever held feelings for, the one who had stripped him of all the memories of his childhood. The head of Leifthasir's old gods, Alaric himself! He could feel that tyrant's energy within her, though as for what happened to be mixed in with it to fully create her own... that he didn't know. But being fair, he didn't really care that much either.

" Go back to whatever hole you crawled out of. You are not welcome around my home-- or around my family. " It... would seem that he was at least mildly aware of her stalking following of his eldest son, and was not going to have it any longer. Just like he wasn't going to have her trying to snoop around the ruins of her father's temple; not that it was a very safe place for her to go at this point anyway. It was long past its glory days. " Leave while I still feel like giving you the chance to do so."

Guilt? Was this poor soul honestly asking her if she happened to feel guilt? The mere thought of it was enough to draw the most amused of laughs from her. With the things that she had done, if she was capable of feeling guilt she either was exceptionally good at ignoring that emotion or would have likely set off to find a way to prevent herself from continuing. But here we all were, with her laughing and a poor soul's limp corpse wrapped up in her chains. And we won't go into any further depth on that mess than this.

" Why would I? " Her response was swift, and held no hesitation in the slightest. " All I'm doing is having fun, why would I feel guilt over that~? Maybe I should include you in on the fun! Maybe then you'll understand. "

Anonymous Inquired: “They’re too good for you.” for silas

" You're right. They are too good for me. " He wasted no time affirming the words that the anon happened to hurl his way. As far as he was concerned they were absolutely right; he had cost all but two of his oldest friends their lives, all to protect him from what should have happened so many times. And that wasn't all, there were countless additional deaths on his hands as well that he had taken-- alongside those of people close to him that he couldn't even remember. Zhen, Chongsheng, Celosia, Nikolai, Cora, Anastasia, Quil, and even Sirin... he didn't deserve any of them. Not with all that blood, and the fact that just being around him put them all in danger.

And yet, there they were. He still remembered back when he first met Zhen; how she started following him around despite his best efforts, how she took him to that desolate place that had once been her home, and how he had become one of the two people to know the truth about things with her-- leading to his meetings with Chongsheng. It seemed his bad luck happened to do him some good in the end with that... Then there was Sirin, who had actually attempted to kill him several times prior and failed each time. He still remembered managing to help her move past her fixation on that "god", and taking her in.

" They are all too good for something like me. But I wouldn't get trade them for the world. "
