It had been a long day at the temple for Illiamer. Minthara had been away for some days, chasing after another traitor. And the way it had sounded when she left it would take a few more days for her to return. The high priestess sat in a large armchair, only in a bathrobe, her hair still damp. She had pulled her knees up all the way to her chest, an untouched book was laying next to her on the armrest. Instead of reading she was playing with magic. Transfixed by the colourful light that danced across her fingertips. Blues and violets and a bit of green, a mix of cantrips; it took none of her energy to cast these floating lights. She was still staring at them, debating if she should still read a bit or enter reverie to rest when she saw something from the corner of her eye. And when she turned her head she screeched, jumping up from her position, standing on the armchair, ice forming at the tips of her fingers, ready to defend herself from the intruder who had been so close that their cheeks had almost touched.

It took Illiamer a second to realise that it was Minthara, who went almost to her knees from laughing, before she reached out to her, offering her hands to help Illiamer down.

„By Lolth and all the gods I know, you horrible woman!“, she shouted at the young paladin who was still laughing, „I should throw you into the spiderpits for scaring the shit out of me! How dare you?! I could have killed you!“
