Please stop putting that bs 'Emile Corsi' art on my dash, it's not only AI trash but also the worst of the orientalism movement with none of its actual artistic quality and I'm siiiiiick of it

I forget sometimes because I have my own friends and tumblr bubble where people are more reasonable, but yesterday I made the mistake of going on twitter and its algorithm noticed I had an interest in AI, and, man it's bleak out there.
I'm actually fairly despondent about the way that AI has firmly and probably irreversibly been cast as an ontological evil being inflicted on society. I hate that the industry I've studied to enter, that I truly believe can do a lot of good, is going to get me socially blacklisted in a lot of contexts.
I have got into fights with my own family over this. The other night I was out at an LGBT social meet and a couple of people there were illustrators or in media and the whole time I was like, "please don't ask me what I studied".
It's so grim. I could never have predicted this in 2018. I just want to build useful intelligent systems, reduce human labour burden, and explore the potential of cognitive computing for creative expression (no, not "AI art", at the end of the day I don't really give too much of a shit about that as a specific application. But building an agent that can express itself is the purest form of artistic creation there is).
Fuck society for not even giving us a chance to get this right before starting in on shutting it all down. Most people didn't even try to engage with deploying AI systems and cognitive automation maximally ethical ways, weren't even paying attention while those discussions were first happening, and now the people researching core capabilities the bad guys while y'all happily work to keep the rat race running in place where it was circa 1999.
(Fucking grey as hell future people online seem to want. Nothing revolutionary about doing nothing for decades and saying "wouldn't it be nice if things were different, but of course we can't actually risk trying to change them". Capitalist realism is a black hole for hope tbh.)

Thanks for your response. I was the anon who ended the ask with 'the fandom can suck it'. When I saw that anon who you and twinanimatronics had assumed to be the one that keeps you know starting shit with you, I really hated that they labeled us as shipbrain or whatever they said. I am aroace who finds comfort in shipping characters and that doesn't make me any less aroace. Can't people like them just let us have this, let us share it and stop taping our mouths? God. We are not even hurting anyone. I posted a solarxmoon and solarxearth mini comic thing yesterday and behold, I believe that same anon found it and is looking adamantly through the solarxmoon and even solarxearth because I didn't use the tsams tag for my comic. I took the comic down fast and turned off anon messages so quick because God that anon was quick to leave nasty messages, six in total and that was panic attack inducing. I'm sorry for rambling about this. I don't know anyone else who got that same anon on their back. It looks like they are persistent for lack of better term and it annoys me+scares me. Can't even share things I like about here anymore. Hoping solarxmoon becomes canon so that anon can shut up already
If Solar Moon became canon, they don't even need to change anything.
The actors don't even need to pretend to kiss or be romanically involved at all.
It's literally as simple as "Oh yeah, we were dating for months, anyway..."
OH AND... FUCK THAT ANON. I know the user you are talking about, I think there's around two or three of them... and it seems like they're dead set on hunting down people who use that Solarmoon or Solar x Moon tag.
Going into popular users in the tsams fandom that I personally don't know... and spreading bad lies and rumors about me.
Like, they typically try to keep it as vague as possible, like "oh I am not talking about dana-chan-the-control-brain specifically....." but they often steal the exact wording and turn of phrase I use.
Cause I have an overly wordy way of talking on the internet.
I've always been this way since I was 15, so I feel my style of speaking is pretty overly wordy, rambly and long compared to most people just because I don't have a lot to share with my opinions with in real life. And I also misspell things a lot cus spellcheck has gotten worse since it became AI trained and it doesn't help my dyslexia.
But how sad is that? That someone is searching out the tag for a ship that they don't like, claim that "it's everywhere" and I'm "poisoning the fanbase" when I'm just.... here... playing with my own dolls, doing my own thing.... and not bothering anyone... Not even putting the ship in the tags publicly because I have Such respect and love for the silly little youtube show, who also plays with fnaf characters like they're dolls.
(just saying.. "bio-organic" and interdimensional travel did NOT come from fnaf I can tell you that much. )
And yeah, if they're really stumbling across Solarmoon or these ships on accident.......Blacklist the tags and move on? Don't come to my messages... Don't harass my friends...
And don't harass other people I DON'T EVEN KNOW because someone just said "hehe but what if they kissed" on the internet?
Like blocklist the tag, and move on.
I know the blocklisting tagging system sucks sometimes, so maybe it's picking up "Solar" like in that case? Just scroll super fast and don't look at it?
And yeah. You don't deserve those nasty messages sent your way at all!
Oh, and if you feel brave enough to reupload your art to tumblr and DM me, I will gladly reblog it here. <3

random question, but, what's your favorite thing about wish? i have a feeling it's probably magnifico lol but if it is then why do you like him so much? asking because i know i reblog a lot of stuff about the concept art and the rewrites people do, since personally i find it pretty compelling and fun, but i also think it's neat that there are people who just genuinely enjoy the movie as it is! and it really must be frustrating for you that the tag is filled with what's basically a fandom centered on wish's concept art more than wish itself.
LMFAOOOOOO i feel attacked with the magnífico read!!!! /j
honestly i accept that the movie isn’t perfect and was rushed as fuck, but i had such a fun time! i think asha is so lovely and refreshing compared to the other (few) disney heroines of color. as much as i love esmeralda and jasmine they’re so oversexualized and fall into that stereotype of “fiery outspoken brown woman” which is 😬😬😬😬 to watch sometimes as a woman of color myself. it’s nice to see a young black heroine be clumsy and fun and learn to be a leader! and ofc magnífico is so funny and hellooooo it’s chris pine!!!! also he’s hot sorry likeeeee 🤭 i also find his story very compelling although i do concede his villain arc was slightly rushed lol. i would love to learn more about him and queen amaya! i also love the songs (esp “at all costs”) and animation (the rendering is beautiful!). while i understand that the final product was a bit underwhelming for what was built up as this huge 100 year disney celebration, i don’t think a movie needs to be outstanding to speak to you or make you feel happy. sometimes you just like what you like! and i had fun! ☺️
i definitely do wonder what could have been if the actors and writers strikes didn’t happen, because i think that may have messed with any final alterations they might have made before release that could answer all of my questions and make the story clearer. i used to be intrigued by the rewrites but now they just kind of annoy me because most of them are being written by people who haven’t even seen the damn movie and/or people who aren’t creating these rewrites from a place of love.
for example, during the fall i rewrote the hunchback of notre dame musical script out of a genuine love for the story and characters because i was so frustrated with peter parnell’s approach. and it shows in my version of the script. but with the wish rewrites, a lot of them come off as disingenuous and egotistical like this “im so much smarter than literal film professionals” bullshit (sorry if that’s harsh lol).
and a lot of the criticisms just aren’t constructive and seem to mostly come from people who have literally no idea what it takes to create something. like especially with the ai accusations??? full offense but most of yall wouldn’t know the difference between ai and real human art if it slapped you in the face. and it seems like a scapegoat to get out of providing ACTUAL constructive criticism of the film instead of people just admitting they’re blindly jumping onto the latest hate bandwagon lmfao.
it definitely is frustrating to go through the tags and see more conversation around the concept art than the actual final product we got, but i just pass out the blocks like candy and add certain tags to my blacklist and that clears things up very quickly lmfao.
thank you for the kind ask! i feel like most people come in guns blazing asking about why people liked wish lmfao, but your ask is very sweet and genuine. i hope you have a great night mamita!!!

very very quick post on current Fandom Woes that i want to throw out so i can put it out of my head and go do important things (making sword)
1: 'ugh this is so OOC just make OCs if you're going to do this' and how does fandom treat OCs, exactly? do you RT people's OC art? do you call OCs "cringe?" do you ask questions about people's OCs? do you commission art/fic of people's OCs? do you think you're the arbiter of what "in-character" is for an entire fandom?
2. i was there 3000 years ago, gandalf, and so i can say with confidence: "he would not fucking say that" used to be unilaterally applied to any LGBT content. any fucking queer ships would be told "this is OOC, they've never said they were gay in canon!" and if you tried to explain like, basic subtext or the long history of queer-coding to some internet rando they would just call you a stupid fangirl. i'm not saying that's always what is happening now, but i am saying that this is where that attitude can and did lead, and still leads for certain queer headcanons. (try calling a character trans coded. see what happens!)
3. sometimes people just want to have fun. sometimes people just make jokes that do not align with their view of the canon characterization for fun. sometimes people just like to mash their current favorites against a thing they like or find funny. acting like this is killing fandom rather than simply personally annoying you is ludicrous.
4. again, not every post with this attitude is saying this, but given the current social climate surrounding AI art/AI chatbots/AI fanfic and the complete and utter disdain for fanfic writers and artists, "why even write this it's so OOC" feels very...entitled. you don't know what emotions, life experiences, formative media, styles of interpretation, and methods of critique/analysis someone brings to any given character. everyone brings themselves to the table of fandom and that's supposed to be a good thing. (coda: there are some ways people can willfully misinterpret characterization and be incorrect. people can also just be missing necessary context in their analysis. people just might not be good at analysis and interpretation. piss on the poor, etc., but outside of malicious willful misinterpretation, this isn't like. evil. you can just block and move on.)
5. i don't care if a fic is OOC to my personal interpretation of the character. i really, truly don't. i hit the back button and move on. you don't know why someone writes or feels the way they do about characters, and sometimes people don't want to write OCs! they want to process whatever's going on in their life with their favorite characters! and that is fine! even if it doesn't make sense to anyone but them! even if it isn't good! fanfic and fanart needing to be good is bullshit. you can't and shouldn't try to quality control free writing and art like you would professional work. (coda for the piss on the poor website: this does not include malicious hate speech and imagery. it DOES include topics you personally find unappealing. not everything is for you.)
6. fandom is a collaborative community experience and not everything is to your taste. you don't know why someone writes or creates or draws what they do, or why they're doing it. have a private circle of friends to bitch about stuff you don't like together. trying to make other people behave in ways you don't find 'cringe' or write and draw what you want, for you, isn't happening. block and move on, mute and blacklist, use your back button on fanfics, and mind your own business.

Online I don’t care which pronouns you use for me, I will answer to all of them.
I am old enough to have kids. I have a number of them. I’m old enough to be a grand, but I’m not telling whether I am or not.
Artists of every shape and flavor, I will love you forever if you tag your posts with your blog name, so that I can more easily credit you in the tags.
I support ao3.
Fiction is NOT reality, no matter how hard you cry about it.
I do not condone censorship for any reason. Censorship is Fascism 101.
There are a million things I will never read, and yet they all have a right to be written. Even if it’s so that it can be dissected for it’s bigotry, racism and hatred. Hiding it underground will not make it go away, but it will make it harder to weed out.
Critical analysis and critical thinking are your friend, try them out, you might learn something.
No one has the right to dictate how someone else handles their own trauma.
Tag your shit properly, so that people trying to avoid triggers don’t accidentally stumble onto something that could hurt them.
The Block Button is your best friend, use it liberally and often, it will keep the toxicity of this place to a minimum.
I tag for my personal use.
I will absolutely add a tag if you need it.
I almost exclusively reblog, unless something comes across my news feed that I feel compelled to keep a copy for myself.
I reblog mainly -
- MCU and Marvel Comics fan artwork (#fanart #fanfic)
- Anything affecting transgender people, and often a lot of other LGBTQIA+ information (#lgbtqia #transgender)
- Recently a shit ton of politics and world news (#politics #fuckwads of the gop)
Checking out my archive ( https://1968bullittmustang.tumblr.com/archive ) will also give you the character and shipping tags I use most often, in case there is anything more specific you want to blacklist.
FYI I use the #unclad tag for myself personally on any questionably dressed and or sexual situation regardless of how it is tagged by anyone in the reblog chain.
If your blog is empty, I will assume you are a bot and block you. If your blog looks like a porn bot, I will assume you are a bot and block you. If you’re a racist, sexist, fascist, bigot, terf, fake feminist, or basically any variation of these I’ll figure it out eventually and block you. My block list is about ten times longer than my follow list.
I do not allow anonymous comments because I don’t have time for anyone else’s bullshit, I have plenty of my own.
Yes, I am an asshole, but the very specific kind that would gladly let my tax dollars go to support anyone in need of housing, food, health care, mental health, disability aids, education, immigration, civil rights, voting rights, etc., but  fucking hate when instead my taxes are used to subsidize big business, banks, rich fucks, blocking voting rights, banning books, removing bodily autonomy from 50% of the population, and basically trying to remove any rights that don’t specifically benefit a hetero cis white man.

If you see anything
I’ve tagged with the wrong artist
I’ve forgotten to tag any artist at all
improperly tagged for any reason
that Is clearly AI art, but tagged with an artist
I want to know so I can correct the problem. I am human and I will make mistakes. But I always want a chance to correct them whenever I can. I am not an artist in any way shape or form, so my understanding of it is limited to ‘Wow I like that!’. But I will never knowingly reblog AI art, as I don’t believe it supports artists.
Thanks and have a great day!
(Unless you’re a fascist fuckwad, then I hope a sinkhole opens beneath your feet and you go straight to where you belong.)

Things I’ve learned the last 5 years and keep forgetting to write down -
Only the TAGS on the original post count towards monthly yearly talleys (so no matter how many times I reblog clint barton he’s not going to make the year end top 100)
Only the first 5 TAGS are searchable (so if you want someone else to be able to find your post use the most important 5 first)
Only the first 20 TAGS are searchable inside your blog (so when you’re tagging 50 avengers from the comics make sure the first 20 are the ones you’re going to be looking for the most)
Even if you follow all these rules the TAGS are so broken most of the time, it won’t always work

I mean frankly even before I learned that AI art is like. Really fucking awful for stealing and indie artists, I fucking hated it.
I fucking hate how it looks.
It's fucking uncanny.
You can tell a real person didn't make it. There's something wrong with it. It's wrong. It's off. It's strange.
Uncanny valley.
And I fucking hate every time I see a post with the fucking art in it. Because it gives me the creepy crawlies for like an hour every single time and I want you to try and tell me how to fucking blacklist for them.
The art reads as a fucking creepy ass computer in a horror movie making it. It's weird. It's uncanny. And I am glad it is actively bad as well as creepy because then less people will be dicks to me for disliking it. Which is stupid but w/e.
Hi I haven't slept properly in a week and I'm very very cranky and sick of things. Enjoy the opinions.

{+}// Wait. You were here the last time they pulled this stunt?! Holyshet! Me too!!!
((I’ve been here for the last 6 years. Just like the end of the world that everyone fears, it never comes. All their doing is cracking down on the people that were never allowed to be here in the first place that had always broken the rules to start with. aka p.orn related items. Visually seeing someone jac.k off all over themselves was always against the rules, so is hate mongering and so on.
People are freaking out, as they always do and I find it silly that people are deleting their blogs over it. I got hit maybe 10 times, I had everything reviewed that they said “sorry, our mistake, it’s all good.” At the very worst that post will get deleted if no action is taken and no harm will come to your blog. if you consistently post things that tumbl’r deems unsafe, they will email warn you first before action is taken.
‘but it’s going to affect the artists!’ Well, I’m sorry, that’s always been against tumbl’r rules too and personally, as much as I respect peoples art of my fav character but I’d prefer not to have their drawn por’n or go’re shoved in my face on a daily bases and why I have certain tags blacklisted because I'm a mature adult.
You know what would solve this problem? If tumbl’r allowed creators of posts to flag things as 18+ but nope, that's too logical for staff because it’s not like every other fucking site does that. Devi’antart comes to mind. Can you tell how done I am with this topic? it’s only been 24 hours and people are acting like is something new.
and you know what’s funny? Does anyone else on this hellsite know WHY tumbl’r was created in the first place? It was because the last platform that was similar to this finally got shut down. Do you think if it finally manages to happen here, that someone else won’t make a site like this again? Hopefully, someone that’s more capable and has learned form tumbl’r mistakes.
This had never affected creative writing, the AI that’s dealing with this problem has to learn what’s allowed and what’s not, it’s going to make mistakes, it’s going to flag the dumbest shit that's honestly pretty funny. All you have to do is request a review and it’s fixed. This is the last time I’m going to try to talk about this. Don’t fall for the fear mongering because thats what this site is best known for.
I’ll still be here on the 17th, drinking my coffee, crying about Connor and getting annoyed about the week long reblogs people will do about ‘I survived the tumbl’r purge of Dec 17th 2018!’’))
