Apple is expected to launch new iPad Air models in two sizes at the upcoming "Let loose" event on May 7.
The rumored 12.9-inch iPad Air was previously tipped to feature a Mini-LED screen, but according to analyst Ross Young, both the 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch models will stick with IPS LCD displays.
Young states that the decision to keep LCD panels was due to the high costs involved with upgrading to Mini-LED. Apple is now expected to introduce a new iPad model with the upgraded display later this year.
In addition to the new iPad Air models, Apple is also expected to launch new iPad Pro models with slightly larger OLED screens and a new Apple Pencil with "squeeze" gestures.

Lenovo is set to launch a new mid-range Android tablet, the Tab P12, with a unique 'paper-like' display finish. It is a minor refresh of last year's model, packing the same MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chipset and 10,200mAh battery. But the real highlight is its matte 'paper-like' display for an e-reader-esque feel!

Oukitel, the device brand known for its rugged smartphones and tablets, recently announced plans to launch a new rugged tablet called the Oukitel RT8 at the end of March 2024. The RT8 will join Oukitel's lineup of rugged devices designed to withstand drops, shocks, dust, and water.
The RT8 is powered by the Helio G99 processor and supports 4G/LTE connectivity, however it lacks 5G support. It combines a detachable handle/strap support with a larger 11-inch 2K display and also has IP68/69K and MIL-STD-810H certifications for ruggedness.
The Oukitel RT8 boasts an upgraded triple rear camera system, featuring a 48MP primary lens, 20MP Night Vision lens, and 5MP macro lens. Although the battery size has been reduced from its predecessor, the Oukitel RT8 still packs a substantial 20,000mAh battery.
The Oukitel RT8 is expected to be priced around $300, making it a spiritual successor to the RT6. The combination of rugged design, large display, upgraded cameras, and affordable pricing should make the RT8 an appealing option in the rugged tablet market when it launches later this month.
