StartYouUp
StartYouUp (SYU) association was established in May 2016 to find innovative ways to extinguish the gaps that keep brilliant people away from realizing their projects, with a focus on students and graduates. As for 2017, SYU organizes 3 original activities in collaboration with the University of Bologna: > StartUp Day (www.startupday.it) is the event that allows Startuppers (people with new ideas) and Players (people with to meet each other. Because an idea, without a team, has no future. Participants are introduced to Supporters (such as incubators, accelerators, business angels, venture capital) and can listen to Speakers (entrepreneurs sharing their experiences). The first StartUp Day took place in June 2015. The first 2 editions counted more than 2500 participants, 266 ideas applied and 66 selected, more than 30 supporters and 8 speakers > The Ignition Program is meant to support all year long teams of wanna-be startuppers in their problem-solution fit challenge, when no private investors would ever lose time with them. A pilot of the Ignition program was first launched in October 2016 with 6 selected startups > Alma Entrepreneurship Club (www.almaeclub.com) is the community for entrepreneurship of the Professors of the University of Bologna. The main goal is to gather enterprising professors to enhance their support towards student startups and researchers spin-off, while involving more and more Fellows into entrepreneurship. Founded in January 2017, AEC has already collected the participation of more than 150 professors

Suit You Up
It started after my first salary of my first job. I was going to buy a suit. I had a lot of money to spend so I was confident in pursuing this suit hunt. However, after being persuaded to buy a €500,- suit, my football legs were too big, my (apparently) tiny arms too short and my muscled back too broad. Of course, I found out that tailor costs were not included in the price when I came to pick up my suit a few weeks later. Not a nice start of the relationship between me and the most exquisite two pieces of clothing in the world. And please, don’t even get me started on those expensive, always wrinkled, warm, cotton shirts I bought. “Why are suits so expensive in the Netherlands, but high quality fabric is not?”, my best friend since high school asked me. “If we find a cheap tailor, we could make a tailor made suit available for everyone.” Luckily for us, he was familiar in the well-known ‘Tailor District’ in Shanghai, where he lives nearby. After some try-outs with ourselves and our friends and a visit to almost everyone we knew with experience in fabrics and suits, we found out we had a high-quality product. So now… We can Suit You Up! We, owners/founder/CEO’s, of Suit You Up are good friends since the fourth grade in high school. In these last ten years we experienced a lot, with our own company as a result. We both recently graduated from the Radboud University Nijmegen, the Netherlands. One in business, one in biomedical sciences. While one of us flew across the Eurasian continent to Shanghai to work as a mediator between the Netherlands and China in many different ways, the other is working as a consultant in healthcare. After years of envying the rich in their awesome suits, we are now more than proud to contribute to a more well-dressed world. Thanks to SYU, a tailor-made suit is no longer expensive and now available for everyone!

SYU JC Radio was operated by students from Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Hong Kong Shue Yan University in 2006. It has been designed to produce different programs for students with energy and creativity. It has become the first online radio platform dominated by students in Hong Kong. After three years of preparation, in 2009, it was officially named "SYU JC Radio" and became an organization under the editorial board of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
