I hope I don't bother you but I've been looking for some little comics of makai ouji that seems to come with the CD's but I couldn't find the translations and I wanted to ask if you happen to have them or could translate the comics

Hi! Sorry for the late reply. I’m not quite sure which little comics you are referring to. Do you perhaps mean the 4-panel (4-koma) extras that come with the anime BD/DVDs? Like this one posted by @lekoweko? If that’s the case, I’m afraid I can’t help as I don’t have any of the BDs, but if someone else has the scans, I don’t mind translating them^^. If these aren’t what you’re looking for, the only other thing that pops to mind is some of the special booklets that come with some editions of the manga?

Firstly, sorry for taking forever!! Strings of sentences are much more effort to dissect than manga speech bubbles... As stated in the update last year, I will be posting this in parts (by character).

As for the text itself, the comments all the way up to the ‘Lucky Item’ box are generic and can be applied to anyone born under the same stars. The rest of the text after the box are specifc to William.

I’m working on Dantalion’s part now and realised I messed up some of the astrology jargon (the domicile stuff), so I’ve come back to edit this translation too. It should still read the same; the changes are Guardian Star -> Ruling Planet, so phrases where stars were mentioned have been modified to accommodate planets/domicile.

Those born under this planet give people the impression of being intelligent. Their brains process things quickly and they are good at convincing through theory. They instantly understand what the person they are talking to wants, and can provide a suitable response from the wealth of knowledge in their brain. However, this person is big-headed, so not purposely a difficult argumentative person. They speak with a light tone and occasionally exchange humorous comments with close friends. For that reason, they are able to overcome the roots of age and social affiliation, and form a vast network of friends.

For someone born under this planet, the only time when they need to put in effort around human relations is when a ‘rival’ of the opposite sex appears. Seeing this person constantly standing with a calm face, a rival would be extremely frustrated and would probably set a trap in order to see this person panic.

In addition, the ruling planet Mercury is a planet that supports ‘merchants’. This means that in the real-world, this type of person is able to do well as they are born with social skills, so can gain profit from sales talk, and can calculate useful finances. On the other hand, matters that are not directly connected with living – the propositions of literature and philosophy for example, or daydreaming about distant lands such as abroad – bring no feeling of excitement. Even though they are able to draw out knowledge as data, unless they are able to connect it with profits, their heart will not be moved. Due to having low sympathetic ability, and rarely being affected emotionally by their surroundings, they are likely to remain calm and observe with a clear mind, even when those around are weeping, being angry, or getting excited. Thanks to having acting and imitation skills, they are able to read the atmosphere as a member of society and act with great joy or distress despite being apathetic at heart.

Like in nature, when insects adjust their surface colour to match the leaves around them, this type of person can adjust to those around and interact accordingly. However, dealing with frequent adjustments brings a lot of stress to their body, extending damage to their autonomic nerves and respiratory system which are considered their weak points.

As they are the type of person who can relieve stress by talking, it is important that they ensure they can obtain a partner whom they can speak their ‘true thoughts’ with, and the time to slowly talk with them.

Looking at their attributes, their ruling planet is Mercury, a neutral planet with no gender. Their mental and physical states are both governed by Venus, a female planet. Even their birthdate in which their life’s mission will appear is 6/6, both even numbers thus female. In the case where the person in question is male, their ruling planet – which reflects their overall image –, physical state, mental state, and life’s mission will eventually all lack masculine properties; so if they do not speak, they will seem to be a quiet person and may give the impression of being rather weak. However, like when a mantis crushes their prey with their jaws, when they open their mouths, they are likely to overwhelm their opponent with the power of the words that come out. Regarding love, they have the power to charm their partner; there are likely many people who think of making this person theirs. Sitri: Both hold attributes that make them respond sensitively to information. Like when all sorts of information is transferred when birds chirps, they are a pair that can guide one another towards the correct path through hearing each other’s voices. When William is confused by conflicting emotions, it is likely that Sitri will be able to provide a fair and neutral point of view to guide him. I’m not sure right now about starting work on any new series. Makai Ouji isn’t completely done and dusted yet - I have yet to finish Isaac’s Fortune Telling Diary and the Weekly Heaven special booklets; those are quite text heavy so may take a while. I may consider picking up a new series once those are finished, or if I finish creating the Tsukipro Wikipedia page (whichever is first).

Regarding which new series, I am open to suggestions (anon asks will be temporarily turned on). If there is enough demand for Yukihiro Utako’s new series (and someone provides the RAW; or if people are patient enough for volume releases (which I can buy)), I am fine with translating it; however, if someone suggests something else that I am more personally interested in, that may take precedence. I decided to jump on board with Makai Ouji beacuse I really liked the series itself, so if there is a series that really sparks my interest, I may choose to translate that instead.

@syphiria Thank you for clearing this, because I believe someone said (when the RAWs initially came out) that both Michael and Lucifer got reborn as one human (a.k.a. the random Michael look-alike) and that really confused me ‘cause:

a) It didn’t make sense for 2 people to merge into one for no reason; b) The guy barely resembles Michael (and doesn’t resemble Lucifer at all) and as far as look-alikes go, Elliot Eden is far more of a legit look-alike; c) The time doesn’t add up, since technically only a year has passed (?) since both Michael&Lucifer have died and this guy is clearly older;

So yeah, I guess it was a “lost in translation” thing.
