So far I feel like this album started off very like, standard 1989 synths and it’s sort of… descending into twisted rage and insanity and being sung through gritted teeth? Like it’s REALLY cool
my initial interpretation of the album is that there are two parallel storylines: one is about her insanity (her rebound) and the other is about what got her there (the demise of her relationship). the album tries to prove that the former was not real love. he simply gave her the attention she craved while also being just as blue and self-sabotaging as her ex. the storylines converge halfway through the album, and the rest of the songs discuss her grief, rage, perseverance, and ultimate acceptance through gritted teeth.
Like idk maybe it’s just me but I’m truly a certified lover girl as a swiftie there really isn’t a thing in the world Taylor could do that I wouldn’t love I’d follow that woman to the ends of the earth
