Dc x Dp Prompt #21: Petition to the King
I haven’t done one of these in a while so here we go:
AU where Thomas and Martha Wayne live in the Ghost Zone version of Gotham and have been collecting signatures from the other ghosts there for a few years now. Since the Ghost Prince Phantom has finally come of age and is now able to hold court/assemblies they approach him with their official petition and beseech him: Please allow them avenge their grandson and countless other souls, who’ve signed agreeing to the petition, to haunt and torment the Joker for the rest of his living days. May he never find peace even in sleep, even in death.
Danny being the gracious prince he is agrees. Even going as far as to take the names of literally everyone on the list and create a haunting rotation, for who gets to torment the Joker on which days, with Thomas and Martha having first dibs.
The grandson in question is a revenant and thus also eligible to be put on the haunting rotation so Danny decides to reach out and go to Gotham himself and ask if he wants to haunt the Joker with his grandparents. Thomas and Martha tag along bc they wanna visit their grand-babies, their son, and their partner who raised him.
Jason isn’t sure what to make of his doting ghostly grandparents, the beautiful interdimensional king, or the apparent laundry list of people ready to mess with the Joker’s mind, but hey! If he can’t kill the Joker, eternal torment isn’t a bad deal to swing!

Tackled for a Loop
Sorry for the lack of prompt last week, but let me tell you, getting carpet replaced is a nightmare. Anyways, onto the prompt/blorb!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><> Out of all the situations that Danny had imagined reuniting with his brother, he’d desperately hoped this one wasn’t it.
But, unfortunately, both of them must have scrimped out on luck when they were born.
Back to back, standing right next to a balcony over the Lazarus pits, and surrounded by dozens of murder-ninjas as dear ol’ Pah-paw fruit-loop is trying to convince them to come back to the murder-cult that had just kidnapped them.
They needed out, now.
”Cliche as it is, do you trust me Dami?”
He glances slightly and frowns at Danny.
Yeah, yeah, trusting your thought-dead-but-not-really-twin was kind of hard when you didn’t know if cloning was involved.
“Yeah, well, just don’t struggle.”
Danny then quickly football tackles (Thanks, Dash) Damian over the edge of the balcony and straight into the Lazarus pit, leaving only Gob-smacked ninjas behind.

Demon Twins AU Idea
(Got a little carried away, but here you go! Short version: while Damian learns from their father, Danyal is investigating the Fentons. They try to do a vivisection on Dami, and Danny is NOT having it. He goes a lil berserk)
When Damian al Ghoul is sent to learn from the Bat, Danyal is sent on a long-term undercover mission.
Two scientists, Doctors Jack and Madeline Fenton, had discovered a new type of Lazarus Water. Danyal was to be adopted and report back on the differences between the Pits and this “Ectoplasm.”
One day, just a year into his mission, Danyal is investigating the nonfunctional portal when a large bookshelf covered in various samples topples, forcing him to duck into the portal and, unfortunately, the “on” button.
Danyal al Ghoul, the Shield to the Heir of the Demon, dies.
When ghosts begin to come through the portal, Danyal fights them back with an ecto-scimitar and a quiet determination that the American Government discovers nothing about the paranormal invasions.
When the Fentons find out that Danny is a halfa they don’t rush in, they’ve seen Phantom fight. They bide their time, creating a ghost-specific poison of diluted blood blossoms, slipping it into his food.
Danyal realizes he’s been poisoned too late. (Damian would be disappointed)
When he comes to, he’s strapped to a metal table in flimsy paper clothes. He feels weak, like if he sat up he would pass out.
Jack and Madeline are standing above him.
“Look honeybun! It’s awake!”
“Thank you sweetie! Now,” Madeline says, “while I am impressed that you managed to pretend to be human for so long, you did make a mistake.” She smiled, turning to rip a sheet off of-
Damian.
(His twin, his brother. He looks like he has been dragged to hell and back already, bloodied and barely breathing.)
“You really shouldn’t have based your human form on a celebrity child.” She taps a finger to her chin, thinking, “The real question is who should we start with? The monster or the template?”
“I say start with the boy lovekins. I wanna know what made him easier to mimic than anyone else.”
When Madeline picks up a scalpel, Danyal glares.
When she walks towards Damien, his twin freezes.
When she moves to cut into his twin, all The Shield can see is green.
When it fades, he is clutching his Ahki to his chest in Nanda Parbat.

A Brothers Reunion
The small summoning circle lit up, casting a soft green glow, as two eyes watched it with weary hope.
——————————————————
Two demons argued violently about a soul, and Danny sighed from his spot on the throne that fully claimed him a month ago. While he still found it hilarious how thoroughly this guy managed to swindle so many of the high ranking demons, it had started to cross into annoying territory. Danny was seriously considering making a whole office dedicated specifically to hold all the paperwork one ‘John Constantine’ was seemingly generating with his very presence. Suddenly, Danny felt a soft tug on his core, much gentler then the summoning rituals of all those crazy cultists that keep popping out of nowhere used. More like the circles he gave to Sam Tucker or Jazz. But he could feel the summoner’s emotions, and the poor guy on the other end felt like he was about to cry.
Danny mentally went through everyone he’s given his personal line to. Then, he shot up and called for Fright Knight to send the demons away while Danny quickly allowed himself to be pulled through the summoning circle to where his brother waited anxiously.
——————————————————
The circle flared, and a large eldrich like figure quickly crawled through. Then, a very familiar voice muttered
“Man I wish these things weren’t so dramatic. I already scared the shit out of the justice league because of it” as the being’s form shifted to the more familiar form he took when seeing Damian for the first time in a decade. His white hair looked a little longer now, and his eyes a less toxic green.
“Danyal” Damian said stiffly. Danny looked up, making eye contact with Damian before responding
“Damian” in response Damian lunged, pressing a blade to Danny’s neck before asking a question only Danny could answer.
“What’s the last story you told me?” Danny simply smiled nostalgically,
“There’s the Damian I know. I told you about Canis Minor 16 days before I died the first time.” Damian heasitated before putting away his weapon and paused before he quickly started to hug Danny, who returned the hug.
“
first time?” Damian asked, still in Danny’s arms.
“Mother didn’t tell you what happened to me after, did she?” Danny asked into his twins hair. Damian didn’t even bother to say anything and just turned his head to look at Danny balefully, before Danny sighed and said
“Of course she didn’t. I was dunked into the Lazarus pits, before mother dropped me off in the middle of nowhere America, where she forbade me from ever talking about my old life or ever attempting to contact you.” Damian paused to process this, before saying
“And the second time?” Danny sighed at that, his face set into a grimace. Damian started to move, bringing Danyal over to his bed, where Danny realized Damian had summoned Danny in his room. Damian sat them both onto his bed, and curled further into Danny’s arms, while gesturing to continue.
“I was adopted by a couple who claimed to be ‘ectobiologists’ who already had an older daughter named Jazz. She’s my sister.” Damian nodded solemnly at that, mentally adding ‘Jazz’ to his list of siblings. Danny pulled out his brick of a phone and started showing Damian pictures of his adoptive parents, his sister and everything else as he spoke about it. “They’d been working on a project in their lab since before they adopted me, longer then they’re had Jazz even. When I was fourteen, they finally tried to turn it on. It failed. It was a portal to what they called ‘The Ghost Zone’, but that realm is much more. The Infinite Realms are the glue that holds all universes together, and its a kind of afterlife. They didn’t know half of that, only that some souls of humans who died stay there, and even then, they thought that these ghosts were only a husk of their former selves, and couldn’t feel pain.” Damian started to connect the dots at that and asked
“You’re one of these ghosts?” It was almost a statement, but Damian wasn’t going to make many assumptions. Danny nodded before continuing
“I had two friends who convinced me to show them the failed portal. I walked inside of the portal we assumed was completely defunct, and I tripped over one of the many wires on the floor. When I tried to stabilize myself, I hit the on button.” Damian’s eyes widened, and he froze while Danny paused. After a moment, Danny continued, saying “My adoptive parents had connected the portal to the towns power grid, and the portal opened up on top of me. Electricity and ectoplasm, what ghosts and the Infinite Realms are made of, clashed inside my body, killing me and reviving me repeatedly until the portal finally spit me back out. I only half died that day.” Danny put his phone away and focused on playing with Damian’s hair. Damian reveled in his brothers affectionate touch like when they were small.
“Half?” Damian asks after a minute or two.
“Half. I technically have several ghost forms, and I have a human form” Damian looked up from Danyal’s arms, his eyes asking the obvious question he was a little afraid to ask, though he’d never admit it. Danny smiled at the unasked question, and rings of light formed around him, before dissipating and revealing a very much alive eighteen year old Danyal Nightingale. He grabbed one of Damian’s hands and pressed it against his neck, allowing Damian to revel in feeling his former dead brother’s pulse. Damian tested Danny’s wrist, and put his ear against Danny’s now warm chest.
Damian will deny the appearance of tears to his death, but Danny didn’t say anything, he just held Damian closer. After a while Danyal started to talk about the stars. Filling the silence with quiet but passionate rambling about stars and space. It was familiar. It was safe and warm and then Richard ruined the moment by slamming open Damian’s door yelling about a ‘Family Game Night’ and got a knife for his troubles. Of course he dodged with practiced ease, but then he realized Damian wasn’t alone in his room. Time seemed to freeze at the stand off. Dick had frozen, as the joy on his face seemed to leach away at the realization that there was an intruder.

DC x DP Prompt *24*
Something has changed. Everyone in the hero community could feel it, even the ones outside of the Justice League.
Over night it seemed like all of them got stronger, faster and more resilient when they were trying to protect someone.
On the other hand, if one of them tried to use their skills to do something unheroic, it was harder to use them and other heros seemed to be able to sense their betrayal easier.
It took some time for Zatanna and the rest of the Justice League Dark to figure out what was going on. Mostly because they didn't think of this specific thing.
A new god had ascended. Something that happened rarely, especially nowadays. But the magic users were sure. Every hero they had checked, had a divine blessing from a new patron god. And every former hero who had fallen to villainy in the last few month had a curse put on them.
The god of super heros had ascended and was watching over them. While some heros got paranoid, others felt some sense of pride and relief.
And maybe it wasn't a bad thing, if something else was making sure that evil wouldn't take hold of them. As soon as they knew their name, they could properly worship them.

The True Heir
Danyal Al Ghul was the one and only heir to the Demons Head.
Then, he died.
The obvious solution was to put him in the Lazarus Pits and resurrect him. Although there was always a risk of him going mad, the pros far outwayed the cons.
Except the Pit didn't give him back.
Ra's, unwilling to lose his perfect heir, turned to cloning. The result? Many, many failures, and finally, one Damian Al Ghul.
Damian wasn't perfect. Far from it, really. He differed from Danyal in such critical ways, from their mannerisms to their loyalties, but.
Ra's had his heir, and that was enough.

Mooom stop, You're Embarassing Meee
The Justice League and Young Justice were too late, the summoning had been completed and whatever creature the cult had chosen to wreck havoc on earth was coming out of an ominous green portal.
The head popped out. It looked as if a piece of space was trying to imitate a human head but the constant movement made it appear as if it was burning and flowing underwater at the same time. A halo made up of floating pieces of ice gathered behind its head, glowing and rearranging itself to look like a wheel with never ending details. To top it all of a crown the deepest black anyone has seen sat ontop of it's head, embedded with five beautiful blue jewels. However, the longer anyone stared at them the more the jewels started to look like eyes.
The head turned towards the cult members, freezing them in a blink of an eye, the attack too fast for them to comprehend. It then set its sights on them, scanning the heroes before a giant hand?...Claw?... Some weird mixture of both reached out towards them with insane speed.
"SUPERBOY!"
Someone shouted but it was too late, the creature already had him in its grasp and bring him up to its face and–...actually, it doesn't seem to be harming him at all, much to everyone's confusion. Furthermore it is as if it was...lovingly nuzzling him?
Superboy looked red in the face and rather embarassed?
"Mommm, stop, you're embarassing me infront of my team."
"MOM?!"

Okay so another dpxdc, Danny is Bruce’s younger cousin. Through Maddie, on his mother’s side. He’s about 5 years younger than Bruce, so Bruce had just left on his training montage journey when Danny went in the portal. Technically, Phantom ends up being on of the first vigilantes on the scene.
Years later, Danny, ID untold to everyone but his team, Jazz, and Valerie, figures he should reconnect with family, since he went awol for a while doing ghost duty stuff.
He quite literally drops in at Bruce’s house, and wow yeah now he remembers why Vlad’s flaunting paired with his horrible taste in everything always had him unimpressed, besides the obvious of course. And Bruce has adopted a kid. Huh. Feisty little guy.
Danny does try to keep in more contact after that, but still ends up dropping in sporadically throughout the years.
Featuring: At one point after Jason gets back from the League, Danny just straight up grabs him and dips. He never actually met Jason when he was living with Bruce, so he doesn’t even realize that a) this is his, they’re going with the term nephew. And b) that Bruce is now looking for his un-dead estrangled son. Danny is going to get this strangely not-dead child some medical attention.
With treatment and explanations actually going strangely smoothly, and Jason set up for actually scheduled doctor appointments, Danny takes him back to the mortal world and offers to take him all the way home. Jason accepts, and Danny is faced with the realization that he kidnapped his nephew when he watches invisibly as Jason walks up to his cousin’s house and immediately gets tackled by a sobbing Dick and Bruce’s newest kid Tim.
Later on in the plot, Bruce does end up going through time and Tim gets estrangled from the family and goes searching for him. He’s midway through his plan when his Uncle Danny shows up by literally picking him up by his jacket, and they both end up staring at each other directly outside of the League of Assassins’ base, Tim breaking out and Danny breaking in.
Technically, Tim is the first one to find out who Danny is. Jason knows that he’s half-ghost and all that, but Tim is the one that gets to go collect the Infini-Map from the yetis and go on a jaunt through time and space to find Bruce, so he’s the only one so far that puts together that Danny is a strangely big deal in the infinite realms.

Damian is de-aged to a baby and lost in Gotham. A magic user hit him with some kind of spell. His legs don’t work as well and he has trouble walking. That’s when a man appears and squats down with a tilt of his head.
“Yea, you are definitely not supposed to be out here, little guy.”
Damian glares at the man, early twenties, stubble along his jaw, ragged clothes, and dark bags under his eyes.
The man turns his head to look at the brick wall.
“Are you sure?”
And now he was talking to a wall. Curses. Of course he would be found by a crazy person.
The man suddenly hangs his head with a deep sigh. He regains himself quickly and stands. Moving closer to put his hands under Damian arms to lift him to perch on his hip.
Damian squirms to get down but refuses to make a sound. The last time he opened his mouth like this it was a pathetic baby sound. He couldn’t let this man see him like this.
“Looks like you’re coming home with me, little guy. I can tell you’ve got some spirit in you. Good, you’ll need it.”
Not ominous at all.
Damian stays with the man, mostly because he couldn’t physically drive a car, but also because he was almost always with him. The man would talk to air at the most random times. Obviously a schizophrenic. But Damian had to admit this man, Danny he comes to find out through a neighbor baby talking at him, has been genuinely trying to take care of him and take care of him well. Well, to the best of his abilities anyway. ïżŒ
He feeds him organic purĂ©es that don’t taste half bad, except the carrots, that one was unacceptable. Danny cleans him regularly despite his crappy apartment and makes sure he is dressed appropriately for the weather. He makes an effort to take him out to the park to play in the sandbox or just walk around discovering ‘new’ things.
Damian doesn’t need a parent, he outgrew the concept when he was five and technically he already had one, but he could tell Danny would make an excellent father. Some mistakes can be overlooked compared to the effort he was putting in.
The only concerning thing was the talking to thin air. It took Damian an embarrassing amount of time to figure out the reason Danny was visiting all these random people and the graveyard. (Sometimes he will set Damian down to ‘play’ in the grass at the cemetery. It was quite odd.)
He was talking to ghosts. It wasn’t thin air or imaginary friends, no it was actually dead people. The reason Damian actually believes this is for two reasons.
One, Danny shows true results. Damian observes closely whenever they visit a ‘client’ and Danny always has accurate information despite never looking up or researching anything going in.
Two, he never calls himself a medium or psychic. He doesn’t boast about his ability to see ghosts. He does what he does to help the ghosts move on to the other side. Closure is what Danny always says. Closure for the family and the victim. In Gotham, there are a lot of victims.
Damian adjusts to his new life with Danny. It’s been five months and he’s getting used to being small and vulnerable. He’s allowed to be messy and whiny and childish. Danny never scolds him like Mother did. The man has never hit him or raised his voice at him and never expects anything from him. He encourages his progression to speak and walk, but doesn’t expect the best out of him.
It’s
nice. A good break if anything.
They are at the park when one of the bats spot him and pauses. Danny is blowing bubbles into the air and Damian tries to pop as many as he can. It’s a silly game with no clear rules, but Damian finds it entertaining nonetheless.
“Hi there! Is he yours?”
Dick Grayson wears a bright smile, but Damian can see the tightness around his eyes.
“Huh? Oh, yea, this is Damian,” Danny answers.
He had written it with the wooden blocks Danny had given him one week in. Danny took one look at the name on the ground, laughed loudly and ran with it.
“Do you mind if I say hi? He’s so cute.”
Danny looks puzzled by the request but ends up shrugging his shoulders, not seeing a problem with letting a stranger get close to Damian. (Damian knew Danny’s intense eyes were watching Dick’s every move. He was very protective like that.)
“Sure.”
Dick squats down to search Damian’s green eyes. Damian stares back just as intensely.
“Hey there, Damian. My name is Dick.”
Damian gives him a flat look at Dick’s terrible introduction.
“Grayson.”
Although with his little baby teeth not fully in it sounds more like ‘way-shah’.
Relief flashes across Dick’s face and he gives Damian a reassuring smile. It’s not as reassuring at he thinks it is. It promises to bring him home and restore him to his original age. Damian doesn’t know if that’s what he wants anymore.
Dick stands and gives Danny some imaginary excuse to leave quickly. Damian watches him go and so does Danny.
“Funny guy, huh Dami?”
Damian doesn’t respond and Danny notices his change in mood.
“Come here, little guy.”
He knows what Danny is going to do and willingly goes. He is pulled up into the man’s lap and held between two surprisingly muscular arms. Danny’s hugs are nice and warm. They aren’t too tight like Dick’s nor are they stiff like Bruce’s. He never thought he could enjoy human contact, but Danny has been showing him things about himself he didn’t ever know. Turns out he does like hugs and playing airplane and when Danny runs his fingers through his hair when he’s really sleepy.
“Let’s go home a little early today, huh? I’ll make spaghetti and you can be as messy as you want,” Danny promises.
Damian hums. Yes, that sounds nice.
That night Batman comes in through the window. Damian is waiting.
“Damian,” Batman whispers.
“Bah-mun.”
The flat, unamused stare is what gives him away.
Batman lets out a breath silently and reaches into the crib Danny had gotten him.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.”
Batman jerks into action, twisting to face Danny who had appeared suddenly. The door behind him is still closed.
Batman stays quiet, silently studying the man before him dressed in pajama pants and a worn t-shirt.
Danny tilts his head as he does the same. Damian has never seen the man so serious. He silently worries for the man. He didn’t want him getting hurt to unnecessarily protecting him from his father.
“I’d have to break your arm if you tried to do what it looks like you’re doing.”
Danny says it so plainly. So simple.
Batman straightens.
“He isn’t yours.”
He doesn’t say Damian is his. He doesn’t claim him as his own. Just that Danny shouldn’t have him.
Damian silently agrees because technically he’s right. He doesn’t deserve Danny. He can’t keep playing house like he’s an actual baby. But Damian is also selfish and over the last few months has been taught that it’s okay to ask for things he wants even if it’s not inherently beneficial. The stuffed dog he sleeps with every night is proof of that.
So Damian says nothing.
“He is now,” Danny answers simply like there was no other answer to such a statement.
“He needs to go back to where he belongs.”
“Over my dead body,” is the immediate response.
They stare each other down until Danny scoffs.
“Don’t think I’m not petty enough to fight you, Batman. I’ll fight anyone who wants to take him from me. Damian is mine.”
When Batman tries to forcibly take him, he ends up with a concussion, a blood nose, and two broken arms. Red Robin finds him in a dumpster the next morning.
The story continues with Damian learning how to be a child his age, Danny protecting him and doting on his brilliant son, and the Batfam’s frequent failed attempts to kidnap Damian back to them.

DC XDP prompt
OK, I made a similar prompt to this one for dead on Main earlier, but I want to slightly change it up
Demon twins AU where Danny was sent to the Fenton by Talia, so that Ra’s could not kill him. He and Damian both believed the other two be dead until about age 16, when they meet due to the justice league summoning Danny.
They did the whole reconciliation thing, but the world ended up going into chaos. The GIW destroyed part of the portal, damaging Danny’s grave, and causing him to go into something similar to shock, severely weakening his powers. The league of assassins also made a mess of things, and now Danny and Damian are the only members of the family who are still able to fight. Damian has just sustained a massive injury on his side, and Danny is getting sick the longer he goes without good ectoplasm, becoming almost feral.
Clockwork offers them a deal to go back, but their bodies will carry over all injuries, including Danny being half dead. They will also have to destroyïżŒ the Lazarus pits, (in this AU, the pits are a natural portal that was forcibly anchored, making it very toxic ectoplasm, similar to mold and poison.) ïżŒ
They accept, and Danny and Damian wake up. Danny wakes up alone in his room at 10 years old, and Damian wakes up in his bedroom first tonight he ever spent with the Wayne’s.
The problem, is that Jazz finds her brother crying in his bedroom, with lots of scars, and his eyes glowing green. She is trying to calm her adoptive brother down as he cries in her arms, but she can hear her parents downstairs talking about the portal flickering, and has a sinking feeling in her chest.
In Manor, Alfred has gone to wake up the new master Damian, only to find him staring out the window as he bandages an injury on his side that seems to have not been treated before. The angry boy from last night seems to be gone, and his place is a scared child, one who immediately goes into a defensive position when he notices someone entering, before calming when seeing it was only him.

DP x DC prompt where Bruce has been investigating Amity Park.
He’s trying to learn more about the supposed “ghosts” in the town, and to figure out some shady business involving a certain Vlad Masters and an organization called the GIW.
Under the guise of a business deal, Bruce invites Vlad Masters over for dinner with his family. Several of his children stay– partly for Alfred’s cooking, and partly to see what the mayor of “the most haunted town in the US” is like.
Bruce hopes that he can establish a good rapport with Vlad that will make investigating the town– and him– go much more smoothly.
What Bruce doesn’t bargain for, however, is Jason staring fixedly at Vlad with glowing green eyes– before attacking him.
Alternatively:
Vlad brings his “nephew”, Danny, along after hearing that several of Bruce’s own children will attend the dinner. The kid doesn’t look happy to be there and trudges along behind Masters uncomfortably.
Bruce notices Danny staring at Jason as they sit down– how he seems to tense up before Jason attacks his uncle.

# 63 Dc x Dp
Some kidnappers had grabbed Bruce Wayne and one of his children that's what they thought they had done and instead, they had grabbed Bruce Wayne and a random kid that has no idea what is going on. Danny had been wandering around looking at Gotham after escaping his parents that were at a ghost-hunter convention when he was grabbed with another guy.

DP x DC Prompt #1
Danny’s halfa status gets discovered by his parents and they go full trigger-happy on him. He barely manages to escape, but he is severly wounded still. He’s sixteen.
Dani (or Elle or however you wanna call her) finds him by chance (oh nononono Clockwork had nothing to do with this, wink wink) and yoinks him up to bring him somewhere safe. She’s a little distracted, so she doesn’t notice when she runs -or, well, flies- into a house. Literally. (nop definitely not Clocky’s fault)
John Constantine nearly has a heart attack when two fucking ectoplasmic ghosts, the most solid, most radioactive, strongest, most destructive fucking ghosts crash through his window and land right in front of him. For some reason, the House of Mistery hasn’t even cursed them despite being uninvited. He’s like “welp, guess I’ll die, but I ain’t going down without a fight” until Dani starts crying and begging for him to help her brother. Then he’s panicking because holy fuck these are kids, there’s a bleeding dead child in his house.
Then Dani de-transforms and Danny’s trandformation breaks as he falls unconcious and holy fuck now there’s two very alive kids who used to be dead like, a minute ago and fucking shit that’s a lot of blood.
So Constantine patches Danny up and Dani tells them they’ve got nowhere to go. She’s a clone with noo family except for Danny and, well, his parents are the ones that almost make him go from half-dead to fully dead. On a whim, John decides fuck it and lets them stay at his house however long they need to. The House of Mistery is really fucking big after all nd it’s already full of monsters and shit, what’s two more ghosts to haunt it?
So they spend time together. Shennanigans ensue and a pranking war or two happen at some point. Those fuckers cause him so much trouble he’s sure if he hadn’t tricked his way into inmortaality he would be getting gray hairs.
Then, at some point, the ghost siblings do something that’s incredibly fucking stupid like open up a book of spells constantine hadn’t taught them yet and going ballistic through the house, chasing monsters and playing with literal fire. He fixes whatever nonsense situation they’d gotten themselves in (since when was he the one to fix other people’s problems?) and scolds them for being dumb and irresponsible when he hits that oh in italics moment and realizes oh shit, I’m a father now.
He scoops them both up in an embrace and tells them thay could have gotten hurt and they both go oh shit, we have a father now.
Basically their dinamic doesn’t change, except Dani and Danny call him dad sometimes. They talk about life and death and dying when he finds out they don’t have a grave, not even a cenotaph!
The Phantom duo hadn’t really thought it was that important. Sure, they were half-dead, but not all the way, why would they need a grave? They didn’t even have a body to bury!
But their dad, with his magic, makes them each a gravestone anyway. He puts their names in it, on Danny’s he puts his date of birth and death when he was 14, and on Dani’s he puts the day she was created and the day she fell through his window.
“Why that day?” she asks. “I was already dead then.”
“You were born dead. The dates on a grave are to mark a person’s journey and tell their tale. I put the day yoour journey started, and the day it enden, when you came here to rest.”
And that was that. He put their graves on the house’s prettiest spot on the garden. He placed flowers and lit up candles on them. He put protections on them so nothing would be able to harm them.
Danny and Dani felt lighter, as if a weight they didn’t know they carried suddently lifted. Their bodies filled with warmth and love everytime their dad left flowers on their cenotaphs or they left them for each other. They were thankfull for them now.
Meanwhile, the JL and the JL Dark were both getting worried. Sure, Constantine was always sectretive and distant, but this was already excessive. He barely picked any calls, and when he did he barely talked and sounded incredibly tired (Dani and Danny’s fault). When they had a meeting, he looked like death warmed over. Tired, disheveled and depressed (damn he missed the little shits, he couldn’t wait until the meeting was over to get back home) and he always got a longing look every time he saw one of them with their protegĂ©s (he really misses his kids, damn he’s got it bad for them). This has been going on for a few months and he’s only getting worse.
So they ask to go visit him. Y'know, to go check on him. Just to see if he was okay. Constantine’s annoyed but his kids convince him to let his friends visit him. They don’t want to be seen by them (they’re kinda scared of strangers) but they think their dad should hang out with his co-workers. It’s not healthy to be cooped up in the house, even they get visits from Sam and Tucker!
So the JLD came to the House of Mistery. They were just catching up a bit when some magic fuckery happens and somehow they end up on the gardens outside the house (which is really just some grass and wildflowers John calls a garden). Constantine tells them to stay there untill he comes back from fixing whatever the fuck that was.
Of course, they don’t stand still. They go fuck arround the “garden” while they wait for him to get back, and they come across two tombstones. Their blood runs cold when they read the names.
Daniel and Danielle Constantine.
Daniel had been dead for two years, but he was only fourteen. Danielle had been born a month or two after Daniel had, so whoever their mother was had been already pregnant when Daniel died. The girl, just two years old, had died very recently. She died just when Constantine had started to act strange.
Their friend was grieving his kids. Fuck, they didn’t even know John was a father! Where was the mother? Was he married? Why didn’t he tell them? Was the mother dead? Why wasn’t she burried there, then? Had she left? Was their friend grieving alone?
They got back to where their companion told them to wait in. Now they understood why he didn’t want them snooping arround. They decided to help their friend however they could.
Misunderstandings happen.

Dp x DC crossover
Tim wakes up in an unknown laboratory strapped down to a table next to an unconscious teen who looks like a batfam adoptee, also strapped to a table.
In between the tables is a tube containing a Lazarus green liquid and a infant.

Something's... Off about the Fentons and their son's friends.
They seem to have been the last people to see Vladimir Masters, owner of DalvCo, and know of his whereabouts, yet refuse to reveal him or his location. They also seem to be taking full advantage of his absence, taking over his company and profiting from it and living in his castle in Wisconsin.
They always seem to have some kind of excuse as to why he's not around.
"He's on vacation! Oh, where? Um, Antarctica."
"You just missed him, actually. He was here a few minutes ago. Yeah, in this random dirty alley as I was being mugged. We discussed... Alleys."
"Yeah, he lives here. I know his room is super dusty. He just likes it like that."
Although Tim Drake sees the absence of Vlad Masters as an absolute win (Tucker Foley is much less creepy), he still sees that this requires an investigation. After all, a missing CEO is big news, especially when the last people to have seen him seemed to have had major beef with him. Could they have... Murdered him?
-
Or: Vlad's taken a nice little trip to ghost prison. The Batfam think Vlad's disappearance was a result of the Fenton family murdering him.
