tbh i do appreciate this blog. it’s so hard to find why people dislike quinton specifically without it becoming some weird right wing thing. his biggest problem was (and still is) that he hasn’t matured past high school, and doesn’t seem to have any support outside of his fans.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Is very difficult to get a place to discuss Q that isn’t heavily biased one way or the other.

I agree on the he hasn’t matured past high school thing and that he relies too much of his support on his fans, but surprisingly for what I heard he does have his real life friends around still online is just that they are very busy with their own lives.

You know what, I concede. We can say that he took a sensible decision given the circumstances and that he still has loyalties to his friends to signal boost a video on someone that isn’t his friend. Both can be true.

is there really nothing of note said in flower gothic's latest vid?

There is but most of it can feel like it’s just a a more concise version of her original video. The highlights to me are:

Flowergothic mentions that she felt from the beginning that her feelings for Q were an infatuation and that they always felt wrong. She now downright says she is ashamed.

She also tested the waters with another person she was closer to (the general implication seems to be that they transitioned but I couldn't verify it, maybe they are just non binary now?) and that this person also received a love confession of sorts. They are the friend that got a medical emergercy.

Her grunkle and a co-worker died the same year, she talks about needing to move either back to Louisiana for work or to KCK for her grandma. All of this is mentioned as context for why she felt she had to confess her feelings.

There's use of the same rhetoric that others have used to criticize Q's response. "If he had a problem about the editing, why he didn't say anything until now?", rose tinted glasses, etc.

Mention to how, since only Quinton fans knew or cared about the situation, she recieved much hostility even though you could argue this was the role reversed DM saga.

reading up on the jew wario/dan olson stuff.... why did you bring any of that up to begin with? dan made one comment about quinton what does he have to do with anything outside of that? it makes no sense without context and with context it just makes you look like insane

I included it as an example of Dan Olson not being above being an ass when he wants to support a point, much in the same way as the now deleted tweets boosting Flowergothic’s video. I included it as a prior known incident to keep in mind. Knowing someone was being highly inappropriate and refusing to do anything about it because you don’t want an ideological rival to have ammo against your side.

The reason was to get a sort of defence for Quinton on how he has mentioned, even as a joke, that bigger creators like to gang on him because of optics. Olson is an ass.

The mention of his prior shit was in a theory post (as in, no one including me, can prove absolutely this was a ‘pre-meditated hit’) and if I made it was because it was a theory made in Quinton circles (as in I started the post by calling it a theory).

TL; DR: The JewWario shit was mentioned as a previous instance of Dan Olson being a ass to suggest he isn’t above twisting a narrative.

You’re deduction is almost right. It was to protect the victims. It’s relation to GamerGate was that people started digging info related to other Chez Apocalypse members, the CA members that felt they had to make a clear statement on GG.

Not really. Going back to what she said I think we all just assumed there was going to be something else and Quinton outing her advances aided that perception. She was theatrical, yeah, but really so was Quinton.

Even if there’s something else it’s lost because it happened in Twitter messages neither have access to. That’s where he claims she started to get aggressive.

I like to see it two ways.

1. The purpose of the blog is to serve as a gallery of Quinton’s history, as it available online for public consultation, in one single place for the convenience of anyone interested. While any public we get is appreciated, we know we are niche blog and as such we aren’t expecting to break numbers.

2. Quinton isn’t that relevant, actually, and at least here most posts are about watching his videos rather than the videos themselves.

Quinton Mysteries: The Flowergothic Conspiracy

I was planning on adding this as an addendum to the previous masterpost on Flowergothic but since this is pure speculation I decided against it.

So this is going to be the sicko mode segment of this blog. If it has Lucille font, it's stuff we have substantial proof on. If it has Chat font, we are speculating. To make it abundantly more obvious we are calling this segment Quinton Mysteries.

As I already mentioned, Flowergothic has been airing her laundry for over a year through TikTok, Twitter and YouTube. She released a video earlier this year that also served to take an iCarly idea away from Quinton, iCarly recipes, making very odd she felt like making another video. The vibe between the two is also noteworthy because whereas the first video is largely comical, the second feels like an official account of events.

What sets apart the "My experience with Quinton Reviews" even more is that for some reason it had Dan Olson and Lady Emily vagueposting about it. Neither associate with Flowergothic and till this point Julia's biggest online contribution was a video on KF. By the point the narrative turned in Quinton's favour, both Olson and Emily backtracked.

So why were they involved in all of this?

A theory suggests we need to look back to the DM saga, since Olson and Emily are very close to Lindsay and Sarah respectively and this was meant as the finishing blow. Quinton managed to escape further scrutiny because he was never outed explicitly. Of course this theory implies that either party contacted the other with that agenda in mind.

At the end of the day the theory requires we interpret either party as petty enough to try to weaponize this very unfortunate editing gig. People already believed Flowergothic to go that distance, so let's focus on the other components of this theory.

Dan Olson once got in trouble with law enforcement in a squabble against 8chan and kept the truth of the Channel Awesome trouser trekker to himself because he refused to hand GG a W. Lady Emily's videos on Channel Awesome seem like she personally worked there for how mean spirited they are, she also vagueposted about this the most. Yet, there's nothing proving they were personally involved nor that they just so happened to stumble upon the video and tried to boost it.

This isn't even taking into account that Sarah was in the sidelines.

While Flowergothic doing all of this on her own isn't impossible, it's unlikely she wasn't convinced by someone. She mentioned her friends told her to come forward, but the thing is she technically already did.

The DM saga: A retrospective

Dedicated to Duck. Thanks for requesting.

This wouldn’t be a Quinton Reviews blog if we didn’t at least mention the event that put him in the radar of many. It all started with one tweet:

Replying to herself Sarah would tweet this message came from a male YouTuber that would mention in video when she wasn’t replying to his messages.

Then Lindsay Ellis adds another six messages from the same guy.

Everyone suspects Quinton. Those are the components of this saga everybody knows.

Three years later, some people still say Quinton's involvement is merely a rumour and some even try to spin it as Quinton being the victim. Sounds familiar.

Here are some facts that only sickos knew about.

Sarah mentioned the original message was from a male YouTuber that mentioned in his videos when she didn't reply his messages.

At 56:35, Quinton mentions that he couldn't reach Sarah (who played Irma in a previous video reading Garfield strips).

Lindsay's reply contains three pairs of messages. Two of those pairs line up with times Quinton was in Anaheim.

July 2019: VidCon 2019. Quinton attends a panel held by Ellis, tags her in a tweet.

February 2020: Quinton goes on a trip to meet with friends and use his soon to expire Disney Land annual pass.

There were also attempts by forensic photo editing aficionados to prove it was Quinton.

If these tweets among others didn't pick up more traction at the time it was because the moment it became very obvious it wasn't MovieBob then people started to say it wasn't their place to speculate since the male YouTuber hadn't been named directly.

You can probably figure Quinton wasn't going to react directly, but in very Quinton fashion he had to make his feelings known.

But someone just so happened to notice and subtweet.

Quinton disappears of the Internet for a week, while most people either already know it was him or are doing mental gymnastics to say it suddenly doesn't matter.

It could have ended right there, but it didn't. Some context will be necessary. Quinton has two Discord servers: one of his Patreon (Quinton's Quarantine Quew), where all the parasocial talk comes from, and Quanto Analysis, from where he runs his channel with his friends and closest allies (until this controversy you only needed six dollars to enter). Someone leaked the latter in a html file for all the comments around the DM saga.

He would go to say other things like how the Mumkey Jones nontroversy prevented him from reaching 1M, mock Ellis by saying "stop me if I ever make a long video after I get cancelled", that he needs to suffer to make 'good art', complaining about his weight or expressing surprise when his channel broke the free fall it was in to make the way to the current state of his channel.

Now and then people accused Quinton of harassment and even labelled him worse things. None were true, he is just a cringelord that still acts like he is in high school. For that very reason, I took enough issue to write about the Flowergothic saga and revisit this one. Because I know Quinton incapable of being a creep, but he is one heavy prick who has bent the truth before and would do again.

This post assumes you know the basics by now Part 2

Welcome back sickos (quikos?). Since I already covered the time constraints, team management and compensation aspect of the Flowergothic saga, we are moving on to what is unmistakably the core of the nontroversy.

As I wrote previously, there's no denying there was an at least platonic aspect to this whole thing from Julia's part, the two drunken love confessions appear in the last 5 or so pages if you want to see them in context. The stalking happened in Twitter and no party has come forward to either prove or disprove it.

Let's get some facts straight. Julia ended her video about working for Quinton saying that the partnership ended for very personal reasons she wasn't comfortable disclosing. It isn't a reach to assume those reasons are why Quinton decides to start his response the way he did and by the end of it he spins the whole narrative around to being unable to trust collaborators in fear they may want to get too personal. Yeah, let's say I could write a frigging essay about my problems with his response.

So Julia complains she was told she was a friend but was never treated as such and in the context of the chat logs I can see what actually happened.

Quinton pretty much friend zoned a woman he wasn't even friends with. He calls her a friend in order to defuse her advances without having to say no directly and let's just say when he opens his bulleted list to reject her with "I saw it coming" I was like no shit.

If you were to open the PDF file and just speedrun it without skipping pages you would see a good deal of pages are Julia selfies fishing for compliments.

If you were to see more carefully you would see the many virtual hugs, I like yous and looking cute todays.

So maybe you are thinking, maybe Quinton is just keeping it professional right? Nope, he proceeds to vent about his own problems because his Discord server isn't enough.

It seems this Flowergothic person actually overplayed the supportive friend role for Quinton, huh? Honestly is kind of concerning on both ends specially at the point Julia starts posting fan reactions and comments for iBinged iCarly in order to cheer him up.

So let's move to how this contrasts with some of her complaints about Quinton not accommodating her emotional needs she has mentioned on Twitter, TikTok and YouTube for over a year. Including her editing duties were also affecting her own channel (mainly her video on the Duggar family), opening up about dealing with her own KF thread and having to deal directly with an iCarly episode that reminded her of trauma.

That would be iHurt Lewbert.

Here's a TikTok that acts as a pretty grounded summary of things from her perspective with evidence.

Remember that the stalker narrative depends on a Twitter exchange we can't verify because Quinton softblocked her and according to him he doesn't have it either yet he has the screen caps he showed in his response. He only has the messages right after the Discord conversation ends when Julia was very civil, then says she became very aggressive and then has his evidence to prove it.

Truth be told I think he is owed as much scepticism as Julia faced, because this became a big game of he said, she said. Specially because people started throwing SH accusations for what’s in the same league as Quinton's very own DM humiliation a couple of years back.

Just remember one of the opening lines of the response is "I was hoping this was going to go away by ignoring it".
