normalising healthy platonic relationships between men is so important, especially when their sexualities differ from each other, why do ppl gotta ruin that? 😭

I think people who call dnf queer baiting are really telling on themselves, because it shows that they view friendship as a commodity and anything that isn’t heteronormative as a gimmick.

So I've been keeping an eye on the commentary community's ongoing reactions towards george and caiti because I find it so fascinating how it's such a stark difference to the twitter brained people. The commentary community and their comment sections (both are mostly men in their twenties) are so pissed that george isn't suing the shit out of caiti. And they do not like him at all, because he's a "cuck pussy" for apologizing and taking any accountability. They are so heated that he isn't berating her and dragging her over the coals. They want so badly to watch George just utterly humiliate and destroy her, and are so angry that he was in any way compassionate because they are all imagining themselves in his position and what they would do. It's just so interesting to me. There's such a huge disconnect between those who are twitter brained, those who "red-pilled" (so to speak), and those who refuse to be either. George is in the latter camp, and so he is hated by both. As is anyone else who isn't one of the extremes. Nuance and accountability are shamed and cast as evil. There can only be villains and heroes. Only good or evil. Either George is evil or Caiti is. It is inconceivable that they are both just flawed individuals, going through their lives and doing their best, and having very human experiences and mistakes along the way. Everything must be filtered through the lens of a children's cartoon. They can't function without an evil villain.

...so i read the 1st of the thinly veiled dream team fanfic turned novel books

it um...it's an experience. you can really tell the author just reskinned an explicit fanfic & added new names

it's not...bad? like it's not amazing but for what it is it's pretty good, but goddamn can you tell they're a fanfic writer. the sex scenes are uh interesting, to say the least, a LOT of exhibitionism & not great BDSM practice, but they have a 5 second discussion about safewords at one point & the aftercare isn't terrible

but yeah 1st book is about the sapnap-coded character, 2nd that comes out next month is about george & 3rd that comes out later this year is about dream

i'm mostly writing this bc i want it clearly noted down that book!dream is gonna come out as gay 100%, i'm calling it now. they kept refusing to use pronouns when talking about his hookups even when they were explicitly calling out past girl's the other 2 have been with. that man is gay & he is a damn bottom

I was just looking at threads at someone defending dream and they linked dreams final statement to the grooming allegations tweet and it's gone. Was it always been gone?? I checked both of his Twitter.

I imagine he deleted it after posting his video, so that people watch the video instead of pointing to tweets.
