hey so this went up. an episode of THAT TOTALLY BITCHIN PODCAST w/ your protagonist. thanks jamie and miranda! kinda forgot about it. hope i didn’t say anything too bad. i know i said some really mean things about metallica (and jamie does a great lars ulrich impression). we mostly talked about getting into music/punk/art and the first 5 year round of STORMSHADOW. supposedly a second episode is forthcoming about the shadow reunion and THE MATCH & THE MOTH wilderness years. we’ll see how my ratings are.

fun review of 'set on destroy'. two factual errors: we barely made it into the aughts and it'd be a half-empty beer full of jazz cigarette butts. other than that tho spot on. shambolic!

STAINLESS STEALING & THE WAGE GAP: Shoot out the lights. Strike the fuse. Thieves! Thieves! I’m on to you. First of the month for those on corporate welfare. For the rest stress and fear, tired all these years. Short shifts, no benefits, no overtime, two jobs to make it. Wealth of a percentile rises exponentially while real wages fall for working families. Weeds in the wheat, silence all around. Dustbin to dust, trick trickle down. Mouths of the many vs. the hands of the few. Profit over people. What is life's value? What does it mean in terms of the everyday? Quality, time, and opportunity. Wealth of a percentile rises exponentially while real wages fall for working families. Weeds in the wheat, silence all around. Dustbin to dust, trick trickle down. The real war is for the mind. Class Cold War to keep us blind. Life shouldn't be so cheap. Never ever accept defeat.

WHO WATCHES THE WATCHMEN?: Waging war to justify the means of waging war. Control and the cost but at what cost? Life! So where next to turn the screw? Who watches the watchmen? Open your eyes. Who watches the watchmen? Open my eyes.

some heretic sect? sounds evil. i like evil.
a sweet review of us at the court by http://somehereticsect.blogspot.com.
"Finally, Stormshadow took the stage, with the very raucous crowd egging them on. I heard someone call Sue 'the matron saint of punk,' which seems apt. They opened with Forty Ounces & The King Of Smoke. Stormshadow truly deserves all the praise they have recently received - we would not have many of their contemporaries, local bands or otherwise, without their legacy. You have to love their signature male/female vocal aspect over pop punk and hardcore. Throughout the night Sue showed us just how much fun we could have again, and also had plenty of moments to let us know how much she appreciated our support."
although really sweet to say i think the new brunz scene and its bands would've been fine w/ or w/out our "legacy". punk rock keeps moving like a shark. or at least it should. time marches on. bands go and new ones come. sweet thing to say. thanks s.h.s.! also i really like that sue got called 'the matron saint of punk'. hehehe.

that's fucked up
this review of us at the don gio showcase by http://www.jerseybeat.com makes me laugh.
"For something entirely different, next was the reunion of the New Brunswick five-piece hardcore band Stormshadow, who haven’t played since around 1999. Before I was privy to this information, I thought that this band sure sounds a bit like Fucked Up, but it may just be that Fucked Up sounds a bit like them. Doubly fronted by a big bruiser hardcore singer and a wailing female guitarist, they got the crowd caught in a mosh and started the stage diving which would continue throughout the night."
