So he is a character from Katherine Arden's winternight trilogy and he is such a piece of shit lmao.

Dude loves painting but his world is very black and white (he is a priest you see) and the 14 yo Vasya is like a colorful unicorn in it. So she upends his whole world by simply existing and he makes her misery his personal goal. He will make you want to throttle him but the third book will have you feeling bad for him coz he is just so sad and scared and pathetic while also being absolutely vile to Vasya.
