Tuk tuk ride to the airport in Cambodia today. Hung over. Tired. Fun 24 hours though.

Vietnam advanced to the finals in the U23 soccer tournament yesterday. Sai Gon went bonkers! This country is very proud, and they should be. It was a very intense match, and they clinched the victory with the final kick in a tiebreaking penalty round.

Had breakfast at the Sun Diner in Nashville, TN. Pretty good. It’s next door to the Johnny Cash Museum which was so packed I decided to just skip it and get on the road to Memphis.

This lil fish stick has been alive as long as I have lived in Vietnam. His first home was a plastic cup. Now he has a mansion.

Le Van Tam Park. Mạc Đĩnh Chi Cemetery was a large and prestigious French colonial cemetery in South Vietnam, located in the heart of former Saigon near the US Embassy, Saigon. The cemetery had a wooded, bucolic setting, surrounded by a tall concrete wall, with a gated entrance on Hai Ba Trung Street. In the 1980s the government declared the cemetery a corrupt reminder of the past. In 1983 the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee passed a resolution to abolish the cemetery, and ordered all remains to be exhumed and removed.  It's now a park and playground for children with a kids pool and amusement park that hasn't been used in 20+ years.
