Since we seem to be doing some RO praise I'd just like to say Reem is so great. The confidence, the banter (the abs...) honestly I was smitten since the first scene. And the chivalrous, protective stuff when romanced? Very much looking forward to that.

Also Flo's chill as hell so y'know good brother-in-law acquired too.

Yay finally some Reem appreciation!! Yeah she knows she's hot. She does. But she still loves to have it acknowledged. Also she's really the most caring one of the ROs I think. Like, she's relentlessly caring, whether or not you romance her. Also, she thinks awkwardcrush!MCs are cute, though flirty and shy work just as well with her. I'm really glad you're looking forward to more from her bc I love writing her. Btw, her route in Chapter 1 was also the first one I wrote. It came pleasantly easy to me (Toilet crawling!!)

Reem would tear up. She gets helplessly soft the moment someone makes an effort. Like, what are you doing to this poor woman? Are you trying to drive her insane??

Basil would just get up and find you and hug you whenever he'd find a note like that. He needs to give you kisses before his heart explodes.

You now have a melted puddle where there once was an Anita. She's such a romantic, she won't survive this.

I'm interpreting this as happening during the crushing stage ^^ but like, when they're all already somewhat close.

Anita: Well, if this isn't an invitation to cuddle up and nap together, what is? She'll do just that. Gently, of course, and she won't get too close, just a little more comfortable. She'll be careful not to wake MC up with her cold hands.

Reem: She'd just kind of lean into it and try to move MC's head so they're a little more comfortable. Maybe put her arm around them to steady them if she feels they know each other well enough for that.

Basil: He'd rest his head against the MC's and nap a little as well, I guess. He doesn't mind being a pillow but he wants one too lol

Flo: CONFUSION. What do people do in these situations? Should he wake MC up? Should he shift them so they're laying down somewhere else? He'd just decide not to move in the end. Like with a cat.

No no I haven't answered that one yet!

Reem would be pleased that the MC trusts her that much. She likes to be relied upon. She'd let the MC hold onto her and kind of steady them in addition to verbally reassuring them, letting them know they've got this 💜

Initially, Flo would be surprised at the sudden physical contact, but not repelled by it or anything. He'd let the MC hold onto his hand and kind of drag them around, going like "this is fine, you're fine <3" the whole time.

Anita would likely appreciate it a lot, given she also startles easily. Her and the MC can hold onto one another together ^^ That oughta keep the horrors at bay.

Basil would be flattered, and it would compel him to act brave even though he secretly also has a high Fearful stat. He'd put his arm around the MC and just kinda guide them, likely also drawing some strength from being relied on.

Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?)

They're all very affectionate in their own ways. Basil is very physically affectionate. He's touchy with his SOs, even with his close friends, but he also compliments them a lot. With a romanced MC, he'll be in dorky flirt mode nonstop.

Reem is similarly intense, but more physical than Basil. She's also vocal about her affections, but more in a reassuring way and less overtly flirty. She's gentle and protective and will want to hug and hold a romanced MC, but she'll be more graceful and, uh, socially acceptable about it than Basil, for example. She'll be in her chivalrous setting.

Anita is on the shy side, both in the way she receives and expresses affection. It'll start with lingering glances and casual, friendly bickering. She's not gonna initiate flirting and physical contact as much as the others, but she enjoys it greatly nonetheless.

Flo is... well, Flo. The intensity of his affections will always depend on his mood and energy. If he's confident about his relationship and feeling energetic, he'll straight up walk up to his SO and pick them up and be cute like that. If he's feeling more withdrawn, he'll show his SO some rare smiles and he'll gladly get head scratches and stuff like that, but he'll be a lot calmer and reserved.

How would the ROs react if they see MC have a bruise on their lips and only to found out it's because MC accidentally fell and hit a chair?

Isn't this... the same scenario as with a hickey though? Or is it supposed to imply somebody beat up the MC?

I'm just going to write the ROs thinking MC got beaten up.

Basil: "Ok, who did that, I need a lock of their hair to burn at the altar. Oh. A chair, you say? Well, I can't curse a chair, that's just dumb."

Anita: *is shocked at first, but waits for the whole story* "Aw, you poor thing..." *gets stuff to tend to MC's bruise*

It's ok I love asks.

Basil would be pretty good, but only if you're into that kind of thing. He'd bend over backwards to make you smile/laugh again basically, so that can go over both ways. He'll gladly sit and hold you too if that's what you need, tho.

Anita is very good at it, albeit methodical. She'd try to talk things out, doesn't want to let grief fester. Besides, once she's with someone, she cares very deeply, so she'll bring her therapist-to-be A game. If that's a thing.

Reem is... used to it. You're having a meltdown? She knows what environment is best for you to cool off in. You're overwhelmed and don't want to talk? She'll leave you alone and drop snacks off in front of your door. The same door she'll be waiting on the other side of, once you're ready to come back out. You're feeling angry? She'll go out with you to kick a trashcan together. You need a good cry? She'll hug you the whole time through, if that's what you want. You need to rent? You can always talk to her, for however long.

Reem will do whatever it takes for you to be well again. Happily.

Flo is more inept at comforting people. It's not like he doesn't want to, but he's not always sure what to say. He knows when he tries to be consoling, it sometimes comes off as very flat and uninterested, and he doesn't want to make you think he doesn't care. So he'd probably just straight up ask you what you need him to do and then... do that.

I won't talk about Reem bc that might be a spoiler ;) She also happens to be the most romantic of the crew.

Anita will fully expect someone to propose to her. She could never stumble her way through actually proposing to her partner, she'd just immediately start getting weepy. She would expect any given proposal, though, she'd be happy with anything.

Basil... very hard to tell, actually. Although I believe this would be one of the few things he might take seriously.

Flo, about four years into a relationship: "Do you want to get married? I mean, to me. Yes? Okay :)"

Reem: "Yeah, sure, honey :)" That's it. No questions asked. She's wholly serious btw. She'll protect her worm wife/husband/spouse at all cost.

Flo: "A worm? Why not a snake? I might actually love you more if you were a snake. ... Oh fine, worm it is, then. But I have questions. Are we both worms in this scenario? If not, did I meet you before you became a worm or after? Or were you always a worm? Because I fell in love with human you, so I think I might actually keep on loving you if you became a worm. But if you were a worm from the beginning, I honestly don't think I'd have fallen in love with you. I don't regularly talk to many worms, you see. And I can't imagine falling in love with a random worm I've never met before. Although, did you hear Tesla allegedly fell in love with a pigeon? I'm pretty sure they didn't have conversations. So if he could do it, maybe I could also fall in love with a random worm. It just seems very unlikely. Speaking of which, how would we communicate? Here's a couple assorted facts:

She has a thing for necks and throats. Like, in a non-threatening, purely attraction-based way.

The first instrument she ever played was the guitar. She added more over time but the first was a simple acoustic guitar.

She has a huge tattoo up the side of her ribcage. It's of a massive snake (she asked Flo what she should get so... yeah).

She likes campy movies.

Sometimes, she buys basic clothes and rips them up for the artful "used" look.

She was a band kid in highschool. Still is... but that's by the by.

Her favorite food? Probably burritos. But she's not picky.

Drinks of choice: Jacky coke, tequila sunrise, Bloody Mary, Long Island Ice Tea.

ah, and riot’s vanguard is officially out.

well! i won’t say i’m not extremely sad… league has been my first “real” game i’ve ever played, from early february, 2017. it’s been with me through thick and thin, it helped me disassociate from many situations, no matter how long i took a break from it i always came back, like a toxic ex. i met so many people through it, good and bad, made so many memories, learned so many things...

i’m sad to see it go </3 but i’m glad i joined league during its golden era, even though it was technically ending at the time. i look back on those years now and see just how drastically both league, riot and the community themselves have changed, and sadly, imo, it’s not for the better.

starting with the game, i don’t like the items overhaul. i’m sick and tired of every season babying bruisers, tanks and assassins. “but mages can hit me from far away!!” mages miss one skill and they’re dead. you miss your entire combo but you aa 4 times so you win. don’t know what majority of the new monsters do anymore, didn’t really pay attention. i pivoted to arams a lot more and kind of abandoned summoner’s rift altogether. i liked the durability update! but then riot kind of went back on that. i adored syndra’s ability haste build. now it’s gone forever… mage items just overall suck, they always sucked, but rn they suck suck. my love syndra’s still okay, but she’s just flawless like that. they ruined seraphine, i don’t wanna max her e, like what?? love my renata and soraka, but i don’t play support anymore. rakan is iconic and i love him <3 and i will never forgive riot for sidelining him ALWAYS in favour of xayah’s bird feet. even in their story she’s set up as the protagonist while he’s there to be an accessory to her cause. oh, my phoenix boy… the skins feel plastic-y, there’s rarely any passion for telling a story, events are just skin carousels with cute descriptions and a few missions. they themselves don’t know the lore considering we’ve been on the “will they won’t they” escapade about arcane being canon, and let’s not even TALK about the monstrosity that was sentinels of light...

now riot turned reaaaally ugly. and i’ll sound like a broken record with the sheer amount of times i’ve said this, but fall of league has started ever since they revealed the prestiges in 2019. everything after that has just been downhill, from battle passes getting worse and worse (“you’re not supposed to get everything you paid for :)!”), broken promises (“xayah & rakan are our lovebirds and will have shared skins & recall animation <3” -> “who said that? i literally never said that”), $200 recolours of skins (“SEE?? I ADDED YELLOW!!”), blasphemous tft prices (no, seriously riot, get that shit out of the league client it’s literal subway surfers for league players), to adding of vanguard that literally exploded people’s pcs (this shit was sussy ever since valorant came out but valo community was too busy meowing on mic with cat ears headphones for a gun skin bundle to realise what the fuck they were installing on their machines) and so on… a literal trash dumpster fire.

the community… well, the community didn’t change much, it was always toxic to begin with, but with the addition of valorant space overlapping in riot’s department of games + overall social media influence now you also get a wave of attention seeking, genuinely mentally unwell people that will actually gang up and ruin people’s days over a pixelated video game. i do hear that riot started finally more proactively punishing players like this though! good for them...

but yeahhh look, i understand how anti cheat systems work, but vanguard is just so badly done it clogs your machine like a diarrhea that its “protection” isn’t even worth. so while at first i felt just hollow leaving, remembering all of the stuff i realise i’m better off! maybe in the future things change, but for now i’m okay. ALSO MORE SPACE FOR ENDFIELD YIPPEEE
