I’m feeling a bit burnt out in the Oasis fandom. I’m not leaving but as I continue trying to chug along writing a chapter that’s taking me absolutely forever to get done (I wrote a few paragraphs today which hardly feels like progress while contemplating writing a short story for Jules but held off in favor of Addie) and feeling a bit down about Liam and Noel in real life, I’d like to explore another fandom.

I’m thinking All Creatures Great and Small (the new version) but the problem is I’ve only seen a handful of episodes from the first season when it came out. I’d like to watch more of it (the north of England countryside and all its regional livestock and accents have obviously got me sold) but just haven’t gotten around to it.

So here’s the dilemma: would reading fanfiction about it without watching more of it make it hard to follow along? And if reading fanfiction about it without watching more of it is okay, where should I begin? If anybody has any story recommendations, please share them! It looks like Wattpad doesn’t have much but maybe AO3 does?

This definitely represents how sometimes story ideas flow better in my head than when I finally write them.

Stories about my favorite Breyer models were some of the first I ever wrote. I still have at least one notebook containing a long story about two of them (Rugged Lark and the Bay Shire) that I started back in 2004. But I know I was writing about them since way before then (one of my earliest Breyer stories was about Biko). I’m going to guess at least somewhere between 1998 to 2000.

In thinking about it, the Breyer horse fandom is probably my first and longest one I’ve belonged to. I don’t collect them much anymore other than when Santa has historically brought me the Christmas Breyer every year for the past several years now. And I don’t write stories about them anymore either. But I’ll never sell my collection and will continue keeping them displayed on my bookshelves.

Identify Your Breyer is a brilliant resource. I’ve scoured it many times. Thank you, Janice Cox, for your hard work and determination to make the website what it is. And thank you to the Curators for keeping her legacy going strong.

I'm curious about 'Patience' !

Hi! Thanks so much for asking! “Patience” is a Matthew Joy fanfiction (Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of him) as I watched the movie, “In The Heart of the Sea” several weeks ago and am currently reading the book. Matthew Joy was The Essex’s second mate and Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of him is absolutely gorgeous. Unfortunately the story probably won’t go past two chapters as I don’t know if I’ll have many ideas for the plot. Plus I’m a lot more focused on my Oasis stories at the moment.

Looking for a story…

I know it’s a long shot but does anybody know where I could find the Jared Followill fanfiction called “Pirate Smile”? I discovered it years ago (like maybe in 2010) on Quizilla and then later on Mibba. It was a beyond brilliant story just like the one by @ownisyoulove-blog.

It appears as though Mibba no longer works which is a real shame. Quizilla has obviously been gone for a long time too. And maybe the Kings of Leon fanfiction community hasn’t had much activity since about 2013 (I could be wrong though as I haven’t really checked into it since about then or so).
