GUYS, YOU AREN'T GOING TO BELIEVE THIS:

CHOKSHI IS SPLITTING UP ALL THE SHIPS!

I was checking out an Aru Shah forum full of theories and headcanons when I found a recent post by Chokshi herself like a few hours old and it said there would be a spinoff book coming out where all the ships get super strained until they split up, PERMANENTLY!

According to the post, all of the couples had simultaneously just had huge fights with each other and weren't on speaking terms. As though the timing couldn't have been worse, they got missions where they each have to split off into groups to investigate a series of demon attacks. It's later revealed that Kama-deva was behind the attacks for reasons to be determined later!

The Potatoes pair up into teams of three: Aru and Rudy, Aiden and Brynne, and Mini and Hira. To stop them from interfering, Kama-deva decides to hit them where it hurts and shoot them with his arrows, resulting in them all kissing just when the others are watching, making it a Midsummer's Night Dream situation. By the end, all of the ships will be replaced with the horrific

Aru x Rudy; Aiden x Brynne; and Mini x Hira!
