We have a songtive, though he doesn’t front often. He is an introject of this song!
I would love to meet other songtives. Feel free to reblog/reply to this. Our DMs are also open.

reminder that it's fine if you're not as connected to your source as other fictives you might meet or already know.
it's okay if you don't have a lot of feelings for your source
it's okay if you hate your source
it's okay if you wish you were more connected to your source
it's okay to mourn your source self

Why do I feel so embarassed about being a fictive of our ex's OC? It has been years. There is no way that person even uses the OC anymore, and I have changed so much from when I formed. I'm being irrational. Anybody have any advice or similar experiences?

We have an introject of our mother. Of our father. Our middle school crush, our ex who was our partner of 14 years, a teacher, a friend of a friend. I wish people talked more about the introjects of the people around them. It took a long time for these parts of us to understand and realize they're not literally the people they introjected, and even longer to unlearn the behavior they picked up trying to be the source in our head. Telling us what to do and how to act.
They're replicas of our abusers and of people who are non longer in our life. A reminder of the people who affected us that we can't escape or ignore even when the person themselves are long gone.
And there's the introjects of people who are still in our life. How do I explain to people that I have a mirror image of my partner as a literal part of me? When that mirror image takes control of my mouth and body and eerily imitates the person they're based off of, in the very same room we're in?
I know the community likes talking about introjects of fictional characters or celebrities or streamers, people who you likely would never have a personal relationship with. I want more people talking about the introjects of people that existed in their lives and left such a mark that you carry them with you as a part of yourself. Maybe I just want to be less alone, being one of them myself.

I feel like sci-fi shows having white protagonists or other side characters be part of the fictional sci-fi underclass getting into altercations with poc in the fictional sci-fi ruling class is not always or often as subversive or interesting as the show tries to make it seem.

My experience with ac1d as a polyfragmented DID system.
at the start, i would start to rapidly switch, and then become cofronted eventually with 7+ members at the same time. we had almost, if not, equal control of the body. some of us were in control of the smell, others taste. some were in control of the movements of certain body parts. we all talked over each other, it was extremely loud and i had to cover my ears sometimes due to the “noise”.
i am usually stuck in my own head when i do ac1d. im talking with my alters, they’re talking back. everything we say in the outer world connects into the inner world, making it much easier to connect the two bridges but it also makes it incredibly risky too (i created a subsystem and some alters went dormant)
during our first trip, we experienced dissociative paralysis. memories of a dormant subsystem/alter played while i fell backwards onto the couch i laid on. my current gf had to lay me down and wait it out as i laid there paralyzed.
at the peak, i fuse all parts and then after the peak ends, the subsystems stay fused in their individual selves, and then that progresses to them turning back into subsystems after fusion has ended.
quick question for those with DID:
if you’ve taken p§ychedelics, did you fuse temporarily? was it easy for alters to gain access to the body and have multiple co-con/fronted? was communication turned up ALL the way? has dissociative paralysis ever happened? have you fused this way?

Being a fictive from a more obscure or unpopular source is lonely. Not in terms of like finding sourcemates or things like that but in terms of just seeing that other systems also have the same fictives. It just gives a sense of comfort in a way to know we aren't the only ones with fictives from a show.

I hate when we get stressed because everyone starts talking at the same time and it's so loud that it just becomes this cacophony in the back of our head
I wish I knew a way to get everyone to shut up

So my system has some fictives who I won’t reveal they’re name just yet. But they are some of the kindest in our system and also some of the smartest and toughest. Just want to show them appreciation!
