You make a subtle remark, and I respond with a playful glare.

You can’t help but giggle in anticipation, and I fight the smirk spreading across my face.

You know what’s coming, don’t you?

The chase ensues, adrenaline pumping, panic setting in and resulting in your nervous giggles. I can hardly wait to catch you, but I hold back to torture you with suspense a little longer.

You see you’re cornered now, and I can’t help but smile at the combination of fear and excitement in your eyes.

One pounce is all it takes to knock you off your feet and onto the bed. Your happy squeal only serves to widen my smirk as I easily overpower your fighting arms.

I know every single part of you, every single nerve: I know how to make you giggle, how to make you squeal, and how to make you scream.

But most importantly, I know when you need me to stop.

And right now, I know that won’t be anytime soon.

Nothing can stop me now.

A sudden yelp breaks your playful grin, freeing an avalanche of happy giggles as I squeeze the perfect spot. Your unrestrained giggling fills the room, dispelling for a moment any last shred of darkness which lies within my weary head.

A few giggles escape my lips as I look down lovingly, involuntarily smiling at the helpless and euphoric mess I’ve created.

I love this.
