Fic Storming is a new, multi-fandom server born out of the love of community following JATP Fic Storming’s existence. Fic Storming is home to many fandoms (and is finding more) beyond just JATP, and we’d love to see you there! 

Fic Storming is not only for those writing fics, but also for those who are reading fics, creating art for fics, and betaing fics. It is a community aimed at everyone who enjoys fanfiction in some way or another. It’s a place to gather and discuss fics: posted, in progress, planned, or hypothetical. 

Now, it sounds overwhelming, but the fandoms are only visible to you if you select them. This way, you don’t have to see fandoms you’re uninterested in. 

While we cannot afford to make an author’s channel for everyone in a server that is open to multiple fandoms (as was the trademark with JATPFS), each fandom has a Threads channel where you are able to open your own author or fic thread. 

We’ll be waiting to say hey!

TROPED Choice: Throwback

Welcome to TROPED Choice: Throwback! For this special, Two Round Multi-Fandom Choice Event we will be asking our writers to step back in time to write us a fic based on one of our old prompts! That’s right, every TROPED prompt ever made, all in one place, and the choice is yours! If you’re interested, keep reading!

How It Works:

Round 1 will feature all THIRTY (30!!) prompts we have used in our traditional Troped/Chopped events (Chopped 1.0, Chopped 2.0, Chopped 3.0, Chopped Madness, Troped Madness, Troped: JatP, and Troped: Visual)! Select a prompt and you will have 10 days to write a fic, easy peasy! You may use any prompt on the list, even if you’ve written for that round before!

Round 2 will feature all prompts made by YOU, our writers! We have compiled all ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN (114!!!) prompts created for our choice events (Chopped Choice, Chopped Choice: Smut, Chopped Choice: Horror, Troped Choice: Western, Troped Choice: Conclave, Troped Choice: Horror, and all three of our gift exchange events) for you to chose from! Select a prompt and you will have 10 days write a fic, easy peasy! You will not be required to use a chosen theme, special characters, or locations, only the four selected tropes! The only rule? You can’t use your own prompt!

And don’t worry, all the info about how each round works will be available on our masterlist of prompts, which we will release when Round 1 begins!

But of course, this is TROPED, so there’s a catch!

For each round, we will include a WILD CARD trope! This trope must be used on top of your pre-selected prompt! We wont announce the trope until the start of each round, so keep your eyes peeled! The trope could be small, or HUGE, and you know we can put out some crazy stuff, so be ready for anything! (We will not select a trope that is used in any of the prompts!)

Voting will be best use of the Wild Card Trope, best use of the original prompt, and best overall, plus some bonus polls (of course)!

Summary: Bellamy jerks in surprise and something tightens around her wrist and forearm. A length of red cord, intricately woven around their joined wrists and up each of their arms. A cord that Clarke has grown used to seeing at Grounder ceremonies. Very specific Grounder ceremonies.

“Clarke, what is this?”

She closes her eyes, trying to ignore the way her stomach is churning. “Bellamy… I think we’re married.”

Summary: Seven strangers accidentally book the same secluded cabin in the woods for Christmas. When a snowstorm strands them there overnight, without electricity or heat, they form new friendships, and new bonds that start to feel like family ties.

Stop This World (For Five Minutes) (Rated T) [Echoven]

The four assigned tropes were 1) Person A calls Person B a sweet nickname in a language Person B doesn’t understand until one day when they reveal it to them, 2) Snowed In, 3) ship making eye contact during vows at a wedding that isn’t their own, and 4) poorly timed confession

Summary: Echo’s always been better off on her own. That’s why she became a federal air marshal: specifically so she could never stay in one place long enough to make friends. She doesn’t want friends. She doesn’t want family. She just wants to be left alone.

(If she tells herself that enough times, surely she’ll believe it.)

Of course, that plan didn’t account for getting trapped in a grounded airplane for three days with six people who are already dangerously close to her and weirdly determined to get closer, and it definitely didn’t account for Raven Reyes.

And as a man who prides himself on little else, he’s always someone who has told the truth. But as the lies build, he finds himself at risk of losing Raven entirely.

It’s all a bit Virgin Mary for them, but luckily an old friend (with a very appealing knack for stage lighting) lives nearby.

Summary: With Christmas approaching and Bellamy and Clarke making plans to move the pack, Murphy had been instructed to find Octavia and bring her home.

A tip leads him to a snow covered, trapped in an endless winter mountain where rumor has it is not only home to an abominable snowman but to one brunette shifter- Octavia Blake.

Summary: Princess Raven of Sky Mountain has been searching for a match for a long time. She had rebelled, of course, but she was ready now, to try to find the right heir to marry. A promise to her father, one that she intends to keep, no matter how difficult it had proven to be. How was it possible that every suitor was someone less interesting than the last?

Maybe getting lost in a blizzard was just what she needed to solve all of her troubles.

Hey Tropesters! 2021 is coming to a close, and you know what that means...

It's almost time for our The 100 Fandom Holiday Gift Exchange!!

This will be our 3rd (THIRD!!!) annual double blind holiday gift exchange! Here is some general info to get you started:

Double blind means you wont know who is writing for you, but you also won't know who you are writing for! This is to help make this event feel a little more like our other TROPED events! You'll get a traditional TROPED prompt (one theme + four tropes) plus some minimal extra info (ship preferences, big NOs, etc), but the rest is up to you!

We will release a list of all our themes and tropes for you to chose from, and from there the world is your oyster! The only requirement? A general holiday theme!

Sign ups begin on November 10th!

“You two are like, the perfect couple,” she tells him, rolling her eyes.  “Whatever you come up with, Bryan’s gonna love.  I know it.  Now get out and let me relax.”

Miller grimaces but at least there’s a tiny smile on his face as he steps through the door.  When it’s closed behind him and Octavia finally has a chance to retreat to her sofa and curl up with a steaming mug of hot chocolate, she turns on the TV to pick up where she had left off on her last true crime episode.

And then it hits her.

Her first Valentine’s Day with Lincoln is in two weeks and she has nothing prepared.
