This reminds me of some of my NightWing OCs that I am particularly proud of! Vesper (An evening prayer). A NightWing inexplicably born while the sun was still setting. While his scales are the beautiful hues of the evening sun, his circumstances of birth left him entirely powerless, and 'defective' in many other ways.

Soothsayer (A person able to foresee the future). A cultist who believes herself to be the reincarnation of the goddess Oracle. After a ritual backfires and endows her with forbidden knowledge, she begins to unravel into a delusional psychopath.

(I adore religious themes and names for NightWings it's genuinely so scrumptious to me)

On a slightly more cheerful note, Quicksilver! (Something that moves or changes very quickly). A swindling, smiling, city-dwelling vigilante active in the Sand Kingdom's capital. She has very weak mind-reading, only capable of sensing minute impulses from other dragons, but this actually gives her great reflexes! She's great at dodging and weaving through crowds, and escaping danger on a whim. MY GIRL!

(She's also rivals with a merry band of SandWing pirates but that's a story for another day)

Also. while I'm here. Silly Nightwing names bc coming up with them is the hardest thing in the world and I am here to ease that burden bc if nothing else you can def steal some suffixes/prefixes from here.

Hi i'm making a rewritten WC family tree and I just have to ask is it weird for siblings to date siblings from another family? Like if you had two sisters from one family and two brothers from another and then they paired up and had kits would that be weird/cause me problems down the road?

Draft 1 of a rough family tree fix that probably still has holes in it (It's not canon complicit at all and you have to shift a bunch of ages around but it's something I think)

Some notes below the cut:

Some stuff I already thought was fine as is so it stayed the same. I also stopped at a certain point cuz I was afraid if I went too wild I'd dig a hole for myself that I'd never climb out of.

I don't THINK??? Hollypelt and Littlestep would be problematic??? Yes he was an apprentice when she was a warrior when we saw them in GC they never interacted I don't think?? I might be stretching things a little but if she didn't have any influence on him as an apprentice and they became mates when he became a warrior it wouldn't be too bad. Idk these one-off cats can really be whoever you want. Still unsure but I'm sure there's someone else I can swap Little out for if need be.

Lots of problems with the canon tree can be fixed by simply splitting it at the top. Fallowsong n Sweetbriar are no longer related. Neither are Flashnose and Daisytoe (Never understood the point of making them sisters they don't even look alike)

I made this in one afternoon so I'm sorry if I accidentally made a REALLY yikes pairing. in my mind this would be the tree of a hypothetical rewrite so I would fix some of the iffier age gaps

I REALLY want Nettlebreeze as Swiftbreeze's father cause he's one of the only eligible options as far as I know but of COURSE he HAD to be Flashnose's mentor which makes everything uncomfortable. I'm kind of stuck on what I want to do for that situation.

Another problem I have is who the fathers of DustRaven and DarkGray respectively would be. I'm thinking of making one of Poppydawn's brothers the father of Dust/Raven, but i'm unsure if having direct in-laws have kits will affect things in the long run or not? I could also have a Poppy brother for Dark/Gray sire but I think the age gap would be too big to justify.

Leopardfoot's parentage is another huge question mark. I'm tempted to make her another LittleHolly kit, and that WOULD work, but it would also mean 90% of the tree descends from LittleHolly, which I feel would cause problems for me were I to continue the tree.

I also once heard of an AU where Cinder and Bracken were ShadowClan kits and honestly I dig it. Might incorporate something similar were I ever to make a rewrite based off of this.

Also RunningRed ehehehe (If you follow the big ass line it leads back to Redtail and Runningwind). I also think LongSand siblings would be interesting

Wof dragons..

I don't like the idea of "wild" dragons in WoF. I want them to cook, read books, invent and wear cute suits with gloves. I don't want to look at slightly smarter animals again and again. I want to see not only the biological, but also the social in dragons, their culture, art and politics. I literally want to see humans in cooler dragon bodies.
