Every furry mascot game character that obviously wants to be Sonic misses what makes Sonic so visually appealing. Sonic thrives through simplicity while his copycats worry over the details. It’s why Sonic fans lost their shit when they gave him a scarf and slightly more detailed quills in Boom.

May seem like a bit of a stale take but I think we can include characters like Ratchet and Sly Cooper in there alongside the more blatant Sonic clones like Bubsy.

Crash is the only one exempt from this because he draws more inspiration from classic Looney Tunes while Sonic draws more inspiration from classic Disney. Meanwhile everyone else gets too bogged down in “cool furry,” so their designs aren’t as appealing to people that aren’t furries and didn’t grow up with those games.

Every consecutive TailsTube episode makes me feel like my eyebrows are melting off. The content is cute and I know that these are probably made with zero budget, but the more they distance themselves from the concept of Tails being a Vtuber and frame it more like the cast just hanging out, the more it accentuates the awkward animations and static faces of the character models.

I can’t be the only one who would prefer a little animatic/voiced comic instead at this point right

I like this episode of Sonic X but I will admit it’s getting kinda overrated. It always struck me as weird that Sonic puts way more investment and energy into hanging out with this random girl he just met than he ever does with any of his “best friends.” Lazy Asshole Sonic™ is best Sonic, but I’d appreciate this episode more if there were other episodes of him actively spending time with Tails and the others as well.

Some people in the fandom attach feelings to products to the point where any criticism is a personal attack on them, and they care more about faceless corporations and inanimate objects with the Sonic logo on them than human lives. They're willing to throw away their humanity just for a taste of Daddy Sega's boot!

This can be said about basically any fandom out there. Corporations are not your friends, kids.
