Hey! I recently discovered your blog reviewing Morning Musume songs. I really liked it. Was wondering if you'd ever do something like that with another Hello Project group? Like Berryz Koubou, C-ute, Angerme etc.

Thanks for checking out the blog! I'm glad people are still discovering and finding things to like of this project that I started almost five years ago.

As of now, I unfortunately don't have a lot of time on my hands to start and upkeep another project of this scope. Right after this blog finished its initial run, I started drafting some posts about Aya Matsuura's songs in hopes for her to be the next subject, but I started to burn out on it, and I began to put in more and more time instead on the Japanese music blog/newsletters that I still publish on a regular basis. I'm not sure if those drafts will ever see the light day, though never say never.

So if I ever hunker down and dedicate proper time for another project like this, Ayaya will definitely would be my first pick as the main subject. I have entertained this idea for a couple other Hello! groups, and I think I'd choose a group I have less familiarity with, like Berryz Koubou and C-ute. Anyhow, I would love to do something like what I did with Morning Musume again if I ever had the time and energy for it.

If it's any consolation, over on my personal Tumblr, I recently went through all of S/mileage's discography pre-Angerme, and compiled a list of my favorite songs with a little reflection on their body of work. I do have a draft of a Morning Musume single from almost a year ago that I need to edit so I can properly update this blog. Maybe I will get that done this month now I've taken a little break from my Substack.
