Night Shift! The way this fic is equal parts tender and pulls you in like you're coming home (which Cran perfectly encapsulates here! oh my god) whilst also being some of the best heart wrenching longing I've read in ages.

Beautiful doesn't begin to cover either the art or the fics - it's so much more.

just a little doodle of Seb and MC in their 'casual' clothes??? I just really wanted to draw them as adults 😂 or at least visualize how I saw them.

They're in their early 20s here, a duo of curse-breakers that are travelling around the world with a tent to call home 🤣 They would've lived quite modestly during that time, but the tent arrangement wouldn't have bothered them that much since it was a handy way to travel around the world (and there was nothing an extension charm couldn't fix lol)

I have had this idea for a loonng time now, but schoolwork has been keeping me occupied 🥲but hopefully that'll change in a near future!

any chance of a part 2 to petulant? 🫣 i am quite fond of enemies to lovers 🤭

Enemies to lovers is my ride or die 😩 my bread and butter. My fish and chips. I love it.

I do have a little outline written however I’ve been so busy I’ve barely been able to sit down a write for ages.

Part 2 is a short continuation on of the similar theme of reader being annoyed at herself for fancying him and trying to accept her feelings whilst also feeling embarrassed in admitting to herself and her friends that she ‘may have been wrong about Sebastian Sallow’.

I would love to do a part 2 of that as it’s fun writing that two stubborn characters dynamic!

If you like enemies to lovers I do have ‘In the Shadow of Us’ which is a multi-chapter completed enemies to lovers Seb x MX fic ✨however, not as fluffy as petulant (angst with a happy ending)!

In Petulant did Sebastian have a crush on the reader as well? And also if he did was he aware of it? Knowing Sebastian I can see him getting jealous even before the lake incident when they still “hate” each other but brushing it off as him just hating seeing her happy 💀 I really love your work and I can’t wait to see your next fics 😄💛

First of all thanks so much for the Ask! I have so much background lore on all my fics so it’s nice to be asked 🥹

So, in Petulant I wrote reader and Seb as both being attracted to each other but at the same time completely in denial and hard headed about it.

‘Petulant’ applies to both of their behaviour.

A bad first meeting compounding over time and them both being too hard headed to move beyond their minor disagreement. Reader thinks he’s arrogant. Seb doesn’t like how she constantly contradicts and undermines him.

Seb definitely winds her up when he’s jealous and vice versa. Very petty.

They end up in detention in the boat house in the first place is because they pick a fight with each other in DADA.

This is after years of constantly digging at each other. Outwardly they’re always clashing but it’s intentional whether they realise it or not. They play up to it. They’d both rather make a scene about any minor inconvenience to rile the other up than not interact at all. Antagonising each other for attention is their prerogative.

Which would probably be painfully obvious to everyone around them.

(A bit cliche rivals to lovers of me I know but god I love that dynamic)

Which is why Seb is so smug because she ‘cracks first’ and he in some ways is more aware of his own attraction than she is.

I do have a Part 2 for this in drafts but I’m so busy I’ve barely been able to write anything recently 😩

I like to imagine that they’re literal menaces, esp to Sebastian who they love tormenting 💓💓

Ominis plays along - he can hear everything they’re whispering (they’re talking about homework but laughing and looking at Sebastian so he thinks they’re talking about him) and when Seb asks Ominis to tell him what they’re saying, Ominis lies for Anne. Plus, he loves seeing Sebastian get more and more worked up too 😊🙏 it’s their favorite thing to do when studying for NEWTs gets too demanding💓

The Sallow Twins, 1880

I commissioned the talented @giselsann-opencommissions to create a portrait of Anne and Sebastian as six-year-olds in front of their family home in Aranshire.
