Possible Unpopular Opinion?

In the past, I’ve been recommended to read Who Made me a Princess and at a first glance, I could see why this manhwa was recommended to me.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but a good chunk of the fandom of this manhwa seem to glamorize Claude as a character. Sure he’s a hot guy with a shitty backstory, but this man is a TERRIBLE father. From what little info I’ve gathered, he pretty much blames Anastasia for the death of Ruby, even though Ruby insisted on giving birth to Anastasia despite her fragile condition. When she dies giving birth to her, he blames it on Anastasia and has no love for her.(again, please correct me if I’m wrong I haven’t read the manhwa and only saw some spoilers)

The premise of the story sounded interesting, but for me, seeing a child(even a transmigrated one) have to work hard to gain even a fragment of their biological parent’s love just rubs me the wrong way. I’m sure the novel is good and that they don’t excuse Claude’s behavior, but I can’t look at Claude without feeling disgusted.

Trolling

One of my bigger “guilty pleasures” is trolling people, especially delusional Tik Tokers. Sure maybe I’ll preach some common sense, but at the end of the day, it’s all about getting a reaction.(aka them spouting even more nonsense to make themselves even more of a clown then they already are) For some reason though, I got a bit of random thought train and thought, “Hm, which Hamefura characters would be absolute trolls online?”

We obviously have our main man Geordo as the number one candidate in my head. If Sorcier had Twitter, I can see him as the type of guy who has 2 accounts: a main account for his princely duties(like a work account of sorts) and another account only known by other friends and maybe family. He would most definitely use this secret account to troll any politicians/political figures he hates in secret. He’d absolutely THRIVE in social media trolling.

The rest of the Hamefura harem though,(minus some folks like Maria and Nicol) would most likely have troll accounts, but for the sole purpose of trolling Geordo. Maybe he’s trying to post some sort of quote to come off as a wise and charming prince, but then one of them finds a way to roast Geordo in response.

Omigod the Hamefura harem would be a total chaotic friend group on Twitter.

My favorite moment in Hamefura has to be either the anthology where Katarina makes grilled fish and proceeds to abandon Geordo to do the grilling(I’ve done this multiple times with my sister in the past XD) and when Katarina played the evil stepsister in the play. Honestly, there was so much potential of what that scene could’ve led up to, but I’ll take what I can get.(fanfiction exists for a reason)

I hate it when people are like, “Ugh, kids these days are always on their devices.” Even though I do agree that kids these days need more time engaging with the external world rather than the internet, there’s a lot of things you need to consider before you judge WHY kids are on their devices a lot these days.

Who was the one who raised them to be like that? Who was the one who gave them the devices to BEGIN with? My parents didn’t allow me to have my first iPhone till I was in the sixth grade and I wasn’t allowed to have social media until I hit 18. You know what I did before I had my first phone? I read books, played with toys, goofed around outside, and drew silly comics for laughs. But do you know why? Because my parents ACTIVELY ENCOURAGED me to engage in those activities and even joined in! My mom and dad would always read books to me when I was a kid and they even gifted some of their old books to me! If you wanted to ground younger me, you would have to take her entire book collection!

And don’t you dare act like it’s too late for kids and that they’re forever hooked on their iPads! I remember there was this younger girl that I was sort of keeping an eye on because she was the daughter of one of my mom’s friends. She was completely hooked on her iPad and was pretty much either watching CocoMelon(the horror) or playing Roblox. I tried to bond with her by playing, but my device needed to update the app so I ended up drawing instead while waiting. She immediately was interested by my drawing and when I offered her some of my pens and paper, she TURNED OFF HER DEVICE WILLINGLY and the two of us ended up doodling together!

If you make time to engage with a kid and give them another option of fun that doesn’t involve going on their devices, then they’ll be up to it! Make sure it aligns with their interests! Don’t just sit there, whine, and complain on Twitter or whatever that “kids these days are hooked on their devices,”(which is hypocritical of you since you’re literally on a device) and put in time and effort to engage with a kid before you spill your sour raisin juice energy on the younger generators.

How do you think Milidiana would try to solve her situation as someone “reincarnated” as a villainess of a romance novel? I think she would go a similar route as Katarina and learn how to use the sword, but she also has more wisdom and knowledge under her belt as a duchess. On that note, maybe as she begins to learn new skills to avoid her doomed future, maybe she might begin to draw parallels between Katarina’s “eccentricities,” and Milidiana using a few of them to escape her fate…..

Dumb question incoming:

Has Milidiana ever been referenced to do anything related to paperwork? Maybe helping her husband with it/in reunions? Because if so, I can't remember for the life of me.
