jesse's special connection with kids is actually lowkey kinda cursed, because almost every child he comes in contact with, either dies or has their life ruined bro

definitely… this is a symptom of the dangerous life he leads and the people he surrounds himself with, but to jesse, i think it is hard to separate his mistakes from himself, and i think he would internalize it even after he had safely escaped. as much as i want him to be happy and safe in alaska and have a kid i think forming that connection would be very hard for him, hes just convinced that he is inherently Dangerous and Bad to the people he cares about :-(
