I am so excited to be finally posting this blog about my trip to Amalfi Coast, Italy. I really wanted to take my time picking out and editing my photos and believe me there are a lot of photos. So there is a small disclaimer regarding this trip. No, it’s not sponsored haha. Just kidding, this trip was for my cousin’s wedding and he and now wife planned all the excursions for everyone that came. None the less this trip was so much fun and everyone had a great time.
Where we stayed.
So my group stayed in Furore which is between Amalfi and the famous Positano. The Airbnb we stayed in was a cute apartment run by three sisters called Casa RosaDea. The three-story four bedrooms and three bath apartment also had a terrace with the most gorgeous view. And trust me we utilized this a lot.
I wish we had more time to explore Furore because there were a lot of fun activities to do. There is a small warning if you want to stay here. There is a lot of uphill walking especially up to the main road where the car park or taxis meet you.
Amalfi, Italy
Amalfi was the main meeting point for the whole trip. The Piazza del Duomo is the main square full of restaurants and shops. This is also the location of the Amalfi Cathedral which was built in the 9th century. We sat at the Bistro f.lli Pansa and drank Aperol spritz which is Italy’s signature drink. So delicious and refreshing. Then we took a tour of the Cathedral which was really beautiful and amazing to learn about the history of Amalfi.
Ravello
We made our way over to Ravello’s town square. We got to do some exploring and shopping and there were a ton of oil and wine shops. I love how beautiful all the architecture was including these stairs that belonged to a hotel.
We all ate at the cutest restaurant that was in the most beautiful ally way. The gnocchi was really good and the atmosphere was relaxing away from the town square. I forgot the name of the restaurant (I know such a great travel blogger).
Positano and Sorrento
So Tuesday was mainly involving wedding activities but on Wednesday we took a drive to Positano and Sorrento. Our driver Gio was amazing and very knowledgable about the Amalfi Coast. Gio knew a man that owes a fruit stand on the side of the road in Positano. He called the man and told him that three vans full of people are coming. So the man had the people that were there clear out so our vans can park. The man had fresh peaches, grapes, and oranges ready for us to eat.
Look how beautiful this little fruit stand is. The juiciest grapes I have ever had. We then drove to Positano to have one of the best lunches ever with the most gorgeous view.
This was the view while eating bruschetta, pizza and drinking an unlimited amount of wine. Definitely a different view of Positano than your typical beach photo. Oh, and the restaurant was called Da Costantino . Next up, shopping!
We got to spend a couple hours in Sorrento to do some shopping. This was one of the main streets where all the shops were. They also went into small ally ways but I stayed on the main strip. I bought some typical souvenirs like a couple of mini snowglobes and fridge magnates. Oh, and of course I ate some gelato while waiting for everyone else to meet up. This wasn’t the only time I ate gelato. I ate some before the road trip too.
Capri
Thursday was the wedding and it was beautiful and so much fun. On Friday we got to sail to Capri. Unfortunately, we did not have enough time to spend in Carpi which was okay since the island was crowded. I think the best part was the boat ride to and from the island. The views were so beautiful and riding on the front of the boat was such a fun experience.
Saturday and Sunday were relaxing days as the whole week was busy with activities. We went back to Amalfi to do some shopping. I bought back a bottle of red wine, a couple of bags of pasta, seasonings, a bottle of white truffle and olive oil.
This trip to Italy was such an amazing experience that I am so grateful to have gone on. I would love to go back by myself and explore all the places we were not able to explore. And go at a time where it’s not hot and touristy. Like in May or September.
Italy has made me want to travel more now. I am hoping in May I get to go to England for my birthday and in August go to Nashville Tennessee with my mom for a girl’s trip.

Jeans are an essential to my wardrobe. They are the easiest piece of clothing to style in my opinion. But finding jeans that are the perfect fit for me was hard. That is until I discovered jeans from Charlotte Russe. Their skinny jeans fit the best for me. I love that you can go a size down if you cannot find your size as they are stretchy. This stretching is what makes Refuge jeans so comfortable and easy to wear. And whats great is they don’t stretch to the point where they stay that way. I also like to catch them when they are on bogo.

So a big project is happening in my house. I am remodeling my rooms. Yes I said rooms because they are going to be combined together into one big room! Now with a bigger room I realized I’m going to have to fill it up. I have been coming up with ideas and color schemes that I think will suite me.
My color scheme is going to be whites, rose golds, silver, pastel pinks and gold. I feel like these are more mature colors and easy to accomplish.
The bigger of the rooms is going to be where bed is as well as my dressers and nightstands. And the other room will be my beauty room. I am hoping this will become my filming room for YouTube.
These are just two of the inspirations I want for my vanity. I am leaning towards the left set up.
As you can see I have a lot of planning to do with my bed/beauty room. I have been using Pinterest to get ideas for what I want. Hey everyone! Hope you all had a great weekend. So I am not the type of person to have monthly favorites. I usually have a collection of favorites that I have discovered. If I did a monthly favorites post will not be long enough. Now let’s get into the post.
Beauty
The Strobe of Genius by NYX is my favorite drugstore highlight palette. You get seven highlighters and all different shades. That lavender one is my favorite. I like how you can use them just how they are and get a nice subtle highlight. Or you can wet a brush with setting spray and get an intense look. I also like to use some of these colors as lid shades.
This was a toss-up between Wet n Wilds and Milani. Now both are amazing and I get Wet n Wild’s primer if my drugstores don’t have Milani. This product keeps my makeup intact throughout the day when used with the setting spray. No it does not minimize pores, but it does help create a smooth surface for foundation.
Matte lips are all the rage now. Liquid Catsuit by Wet n Wild is absolutely my favorite. I know I’m late to the party. But as I am getting used to having matte lips, I have been discovering great products. And to take this a step further, my favorite shade is Rebel Rose!
Fashion
Can you guess what my favorite trend is from the photos? If you guessed cold/off the shoulder then you guessed correctly. For some reason I love this look. I think it’s the fact that your shoulders are exposed but certain parts of the arm is covered. Also I love floral prints and rompers.
Music
So with music I could not choose one between Incubus and Ed Sheeran. Both are so different. Incubus is an alternative band and I have been a fan since the eighth grade(2004). And Ed Sheeran’s new album after a two year? hiatus is amazing. So both have been on repeat in my car everyday.

Hello everyone! Sorry it has been long since my last post. School and work have been busy. But I am back with a makeup post. So recently I have changed all my makeup from Maybelline to Milani and NYX. One because I needed a change and second is for ethical reasons. NYX and Milani do not test on animals. I am trying to be more ethical when it comes to beauty products.
Let’s start off with Primers.
The two primers that I use from Milani are the Prime Light and Prime Shield. Now let me just say the Prime Light was an accidental purchase. I usually don’t go for primers that are shimmery but this is actually quite nice. If I want a more glam look I will wear this since it is quite shimmery and makes the skin glow. If I want a more natural look I use the Prime Shield. This is an oil free, mattifying face primer. I love this because the formula is light, there is no color to it and easily glides on.
Foundation: Conceal + Perfect
I have been reading a lot of great reviews for this foundation plus concealer. This is a medium to full coverage makeup. I say this because it’s very buildable with a beauty blender. This also acts a concealer as well so you don’t really need one. But I tend to use one for brightening purposes. This is not a matte foundation, so a finishing powder is a must unless you want that dewy look. For me I am not a fan of the dewy look as I already have a bit of oily skin. This is only $10.00 and they have a good range of shades to choose from.
Setting powders: Milani Prep Set Go and NYX HD Photo Finish
The Milani Prep Set Go is the setting powder I use after my foundation. This powder is great because there is not a lot of transfer onto the brush because its a packed powder. However the NYX HD Photo Finish is not my favorite though. Yes I know this is a loose powder but that is not my issue with this. After I put on the powder it looks fine in the natural light. But when I took a picture with my new camera, I had the flash on and you can see white all over my face. It was terrible and I didn’t even put a lot on. So I might have to experiment with this a little bit more.
Highlighters: Strobe of Genius by NYX and Spotlight Face & Eye Strobe Palette by Milani
Strobe of Genius is my favorite highlighting palette. This is a dupe for Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow palette. The shades are identical to that in tartes palette. Very pigmented, some fallout but nothing crazy and you get seven shades for $18.00. Milanis Spotlight Strobe Palette in Sun Light is a great bronzer when blended together. If you can get a small brush to dip into the highlighting shade, it is beautiful. This would also look amazing on the eyes as well if you want a bronzy smokey eye.
Milani Big Bigger Lashes, Make It Last Setting Spray and Stay Put Matte Liquid Eyeliner
The Big BIgger Lashes mascara is my favorite so far. This gives your lashes lots of volume. But I have to say be careful when using this because it tends to clump up a bit. Milanis setting spray is absolutely amazing. Just a few sprits and I feel that my makeup stays on longer than without it. It does have a bit of a smell, but it’s not that bad. I have only used the liquid eyeliner a few times and I have to say this is the best that I have used. Application is so easy, glides on the lid very well and drys matte. I definitely have to try this more to see the wear and to determine if it lasts 12 hours. But so far so good.
Beauty Blender by Real Techniques
This beauty blender is one of the best that I have ever purchased. It is soft, easy to apply foundation and easy to clean. I would recommend this to everyone.

Hello everyone and Happy Friday!
I love highlighting even though I don’t contour. Since I have been adding this to my makeup routine, I wanted to check out different colors. So I will be showing three creams and two powders.
This powder one is from Wet n Wild and I’ve had it since Spring when they came out. This one is called Where the Dreamers Go. This has been my go to and the only one that I had for a while. As you can see it is beautiful and effective. It also blends nicely.
This next one is by e.l.f. and it their baked highlighter in Moonlight Pearl. I’m not too crazy about this one. It’s still gorgeous but not a effective as the Wet n Wild one.
These next ones are the creamy highlighters by Jordana. I recently found these in Walgreens for $4.99. The first one(and the right side of my hand) is called Radiant Glow and is a rose goldy kind of color. The second one (and the left side of my hand) is called Pearl Glow. And the last one is Bronze Glow. I cannot wait to wear this in the Summer. It is gorgeous and I think a little too dark for Winter.
