I'm gonna be passive aggressive as fuck all too lol. I'm gonna say "I don't want to be toxic and start drama uwu so I'll leave and [COMPANY] will be a better place for it. I apologize for causing a toxic or annoying workplace where everyone is on eggshells or is gossiping" and just not show up tomorrow lol.

I don't know the full extent of how true what he said is, especially since I've only told like...3 people (he said 4 people have approached him about my complaints which. Uh. Weird. I didn't gossip about my issues with my mentor??), but whatever the case may be I'm kinda over it and I want to move on. I'll miss my coworkers, who were cool as fuck and I admire them, and tbh my mentor was too but she just kinda does what she wants when she wants and her frustration with her own life is kinda hurled at the people she trains.

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

If there's one thing I now can confirm about trades and weird niche jobs/careers is that yeah, not only do people avoid these jobs because of the way it impacts their bodies, but it's very true that because of the low barrier to entry the amount of assholes, or rather, the amount of assholes that can't hide their asshole ways well, are high. This includes your mentors, who have no people skills, think they're hot shit because they have experience, can't teach worth a damn and get mad when you're literally a beginner, and do what they want while you're under their wing.

My mentor is cool and all but I'm starting to dislike her because of her atrocious behavior during my "training," which is essentially her being on her phone, whining about her health, chastising me for secret rules I didn't know existed and saying I need to ask questions (but I don't have enough knowledge TO ask questions in the first place...because she's not teaching me), and getting in bad moods where I can't even ask for anything even if I wanted to. I'm definitely thinking about going somewhere else for my training, because as much as I like my coworkers (except her) I don't think this is worth the $5 pay raise. If I keep applying to places when mad and then talking myself out of changing jobs, I'll be known as a ghost applicant/interviewer and that's bad. Lol

Really hate that the queer community's response to the creation of a gender trinary (girl, boy, and nonbinary, which is still not all-encompassing) was to... reinvent the binary. We just started grouping all genders into "masc/male-aligned" and "fem/female-aligned" and it's so fucking stupid. Even with the occasional allowance of "neutral/unaligned" it still maintains the binary as the standard. And then they don't let you use certain labels if you don't have the "right" gender alignment. The fuck.

Things are like 90% FINE BUT MY HOME LIFE IS STILL IN SHAMBLES it sucks. It sucks a lot. I need to roommate hunt soon. Because I can't work 9 hour shifts and come home to madness. Lol.

LOVE coming home from a shift just to be threatened by the resident asshole and his tempted tantrum over not getting the fucking food he wants 🙄 I'm so tired of being everything for everyone and having to go through trauma every time I come home or whatever wtf.
