Artist notes and 3Hopes spoilers below the cut:

Note: ("mistral-rondo, this is the second time in a row that you've drawn a fire emblem character brooding") Good ol' Isys teasing us about Shez's origins only to not dig into them. I always assumed Shez was like Robin (FE Awakening) in that they were purposefully created to be a vessel to Epimenides. But alas, we never really get a confirmation on that, and Shez's past (which they tease at throughout Act 1) gets dropped like a hot potato.
