Classical Chinese clothing has a lot more range and diversity than what people normally know/see of it (from slight nuances to entirely different cultures dynasty to dynasty) than, say, qipao, which is fairly popular compared to hanfu, which is still sort of a general category. And I guess if you’re into period dramas you’ve seen a bit of Manchurian dress as well (where the commonly known version of qipao is drawn from).

Anyway, it’s all really gorgeous stuff and the colors are like !!! and the detailing is like —!! and I have to leave now.
