Hi, I just found you album Puppets on Spotify. I fucking love it, definitely am going to be listening to it on loop, ha ha! I think I understand what all of the songs are about, except for Strong. It's a bit unclear and I was wondering if you could potentially give a bit of clarification on that one?

strong sticks like a sore thumb in the album, bc it's not about any specific character, but my own struggles, related to that time and Jack in general.

at the time of writing Puppets (2 years ago, jesus time flies) I was in a place where I really needed guidance and I found it in Jack and his videos. he was a massive source of inspiration for me and when I would talk about him to someone outside of the community, they would always assume I had a crush on him and that pissed me off SO much, because it was like they would only see the importance of it if it was romantic, when it really wasn't. I then proceeded to search for songs that would match my feelings without romantic sub-context. After not finding many, I decided to write one that would explain my feelings better!

so it's all about finding confidence and inspiration in someone you don't personally know! for me, for example, Jack was sorta like a father figure, so it's like i was motivated to get through the tough times to show him that I was strong, that I could do it with his guidance and inspiration. also I had this dream of "making it" so he would actually know who I was and thought of me as a nice person hahah

I hope that explains it! I added it to the album because it was an important part of the journey that was Puppets and I thought, hey, maybe someone else can relate to this too! :)

heyyyy I’ve been gone from tumblr but I have a new song! i was working on it for half a year and i’m so happy to finally let everyone hear it! <3  it’s about the feeling of being “wrong” and the inability to do anything, the things that once were an escape now becoming a routine that you can’t keep up with, or rather something you used to enjoy being a distant memory. it’s about changing but feeling like everything is still the same and like everything is a chore.  we love a depressing bop  anyways, i hope you enjoy the song and if you do you can listen to it on spotify!
