N(으)로 보나 N(으)로 보나

One usually considers a few factors before passing judgment or forming an opinion on a certain matter.  In Korean, this is expressed with the grammar pattern N(으)로 보나 N(으)로 보나.

가격으로 보나 양으로 보나 스테이크보다 삼겹살이 더 좋을 것 같아.  If you look at the price and the amount, I think samgyeopsal is better than steak.

장소로 보나 거리로 보나 약속 장소는 종로로 정하는 게 좋겠어요.  Taking into account place and distance, choosing Jongro as the meeting place would be good.

그 사람은 능력으로 보나 외모로 보나 뛰어난 사람이에요.  If you consider his abilities and his appearance, he’s an exceptional person.

She laughed lightly as he nudged her and shrugged. She always enjoyed being able to make such comments since he was the only one she could make them with. “Well I enjoy making them since you are the inspiration. You always have and will continue to be best source of inspiration.” She let him lead her with her smile increasingly growing. “Please. Even Einstein couldn’t calculate us.” She nodded softly finding him to be honestly the sweetest guy she had ever come across in her life. “Well you do an amazing job then. I’ve never had a non magical moment with you.”

“You have a very clever way of being honest.” He nudges her lightly as he enjoyed her response to his comment, Jae always having an ideal sense of humour. “You know I would never forget that with as many things you have made me and shown me with your ability to craft. It is your calling.” Yoongi spoke before he was laughing softly at the smooth but cheesy joke. “Out chemistry is unmatched and unrivaled.” He pecked her cheek before he was taking her hand and leading them towards the front door. “I always want to surprise you it’s my job as your boyfriend to always make everything for you magical.

“Well you are. The first and the last. You always will be.” If she could know one throughout her entire life it would be that. Since she had met Yoongi her thoughts would slowly make their way to him. At some point he became all that she would think about. At what point? She had no clue. But it would always be that way that was for certain. “If were together and we love where we are at what’s the point of leaving? It’s better than being someplace we don’t like. Although I think I’d enjoy being anywhere if it’s with you.” She smiled softly and looked around the restaurant before looking back at him. “Do you remember how met? It was probably one of my favorite moments with you to be totally honest.”

“That makes it sound like I am the first and last. I can’t say I don’t enjoy that idea.” She was right. The way that they trusted each other made their relationship stronger and it was why they remained together. It was never the case of feeling afraid the other would be gone for too long. They knew they would find their way back to each other. Time never let them be apart for too long it was as if the world knew. The way she giggled like music to his ears and he smiled once again. He would never not appreciate her smile. When she kissed his cheek he tilted his head a bit almost opting to turn it and capture her lips. “If it ends up like that when I think in the end we will both have something we’ll be too in love with to leave and better than that we’ll be together.”

“Yep! I’ve never known of a more lasting relationship to be honest. I mean one that survived all the time apart.” She smiled brightly thinking about all the times that he left and she waited and all the times she left and he waited. It made her love him more to know that he loved her as much she loved him. Just as she held on to him he held onto her. If she had left him for someone else at any time she wouldn’t have been happy she probably would’ve come running back to him. In all the people in the world she couldn’t find one that she wanted to spend her life with besides him. When he sang the lyrics to the song she giggled her eyes showing just how much she appreciated him and his existence and how much he brightened her day up. She stared at him for a good minute before leaning over and pressing a kiss to his cheek. She then nodded when he spoke then thanked the server as well. “Hmm But we should do it together if you do it alone you’ll only focus on me and I want to focus on you too.”

“Mm, we have build something quiet special because even when we left we came back.” He agreed, the trust they had with each other was something that could be recognized by both of them. Of course they had had their fair share of questionable choice and even argued a bit but in the end they had worked it out and here they were now. He thought about it for a moment. “A moon that only we can visit, personal haven.” He tilted his head as he thought about it. It was doable but it would require thought. “You know that sounds like an iiii~island.” He playfully sang the lyric to a song that had been playing before he had met up with Jae. “But I feel like I can create something even better just for you.” He mentions as the server returns with their drinks and he thanks them.

“One up? I’m just being honest with you. But I’ll take the compliment though. You’re cute too.” She winked with a cheeky grin on her face. If there was one thing she adored more than Yoongi himself it would be acting cheeky to him just to see his reactions. “Hmm, So you remembered my passion for art and left it to me? This is one of the many reasons I love you more than life itself. You’re my O in O2 and together we make oxygen I need no one else but you to be complete.” She laughed a little at her cheesy science analogy and got out of the car with him. “You wanna surprise me? Hmm, alright I’ll love it even more then.” She smiled placing her hand in his.

“You’re always cute when you one up me.” He mentions as he is turning off the car once they are parked in front of the house. He leans over to peck her cheek the surprise in her features warming his heart, “Ah, I was expecting that.” He says at her response to the house. Of course he had went all out for a reason and that was for this day. “You think the outside is nice wait until you explore the inside albeit not decorated but like a canvas for your design.” He continues on before he is moving to get out of the car and over to her door to let her out of the car. He decided to leave her bags for now he just  wanted to show her around. “You have to close your eyes though I really want to surprise you.” The male offered his hand again to her and was ready to guide her into their new home.

“But another thing is that no matter what we stay together. After evrything that’s happened between us were still together and if we leave we come back.” That fact alone was what made her so sure that Yoongi was definitely the only man for her and no one else could make her happy. She had many other reasons but that alone was enough. “Yes, I think is a surprise to us both.” She giggled a bit and looked out at the restaurant that they visited quite often. They visited so often that the people who worked there could recognize her in an instant. They’d even skip them things on the house from time which was nice. She thought for a moment about the question he asked her before speaking up. “How about the moon that only we can visit? Something like a haven for us?”

“That is true.” Yoongi agreed it did make there relationship special. He had never felt the way he did about Jae for anyone else and that was a fact. “Then it is a surprise to us both right?” He smiled and looked at her rested against him. Anyone who walked pass the booth would be able to easily be able to point out they were together just from how they looked at each other. “All those hours you spend there have you thinking being at home is a vacation so I will definitely have to take you to the moon then.” He commented before the server reappeared, Yoongi took up the task of placing their orders and from the transaction returning his attention to Jae. “Where would would you want to go? Which moon?”

“ I don’t think I can fall harder this, babe. You’re the first last and only person I’ll fall for and evrything about you is included.” She smiled and took his intertwining their fingers which sparked memories of all the time they did so on the bus and subway. Things were going to be different now and jae didn’t know wether to be sad or happy about it. Hints would be different for the better and that’s good but that means that they won’t ride on the subway anymore and fall asleep occasionally. The things they used to do would really become just memories and she didn’t know what to feel just yet as she stared at their hands. “Whatever.” She responded laughing a bit as she saw the house come into view. She was amazed it was perfect and huge. It made her heart swell that he used all that time apart to prepare something like this so that things would be better for them. “It’s... wow...”

���You’re going have be falling for them again and again so it looks like you will be hearing that often.” He offered as a tease to her words, the weight of her head on his shoulder welcomed because it had been so long since they had rode together. He offered his hand to her to hold, they were almost there but it was a nice moment to sink into. “Am not that’s just the truth.See you even match it, you don’t know how right you are.” Yoongi smiled. It was only a few more minutes before they were pulling up to the large house with it’s own plot of land and a overlook of the city. Yoongi had moved them until into the hills because of the privacy and the view they would spend countless night enjoying.
