Being a young adult is so strange. You enter a coffee shop. The 20 year old girl waiting behind you cried all night because she just came to a new city for university and she feels so alone. That 27 year old guy over there works a job he is overqualified for, he lives with his parents and wants to move out but doesn't know what to do about it. That one 24 year old dude already has a car, a house, and a job waiting for him once he graduates thanks to his dad's connections. The 26 year old barista couldn't complete his higher education because he has to work and take care of his family. The 28 year old girl sitting next to you has no friends to go out with so she is texting her mother. That couple (both 25 years old) are married and the girl is pregnant. The 29 year old writing something on her laptop has realized that she chose the wrong major so she is trying to start all over. We are not alone in this, but we are actually so alone. Do you feel me
"who radicalized you" ever since i was a child i wanted other people to be treated nicely and fairly because i didnt understand why theyd deserve otherwise and it fills me with disgust seeing how people treat their fellow human beings sometimes
Ok but like. What the fuck is there to do on the internet anymore?
Idk when I was younger, you could just go and go and find exciting new websites full of whatever cool things you wanted to explore. An overabundance of ways to occupy your time online.
Now, it’s just… Social media. That’s it. Social media and news sites. And I’m tired of social media and I’m tired of the news.
Am I just like completely inept at finding new things or has the internet just fallen apart that much with the problems of SEO and web 3.0 turning everything into a same-site prison?
At the gate for my flight home from visiting friends and there's a woman here with a service Shiba Inu. No pics because he has a Do Not Disturb vest and taking pics of strangers is illegal but I need to stress how ON DUTY this animal is. Ears up. Eyes doing Lazer scans of everything. Examining everyone who passes within 10ft like a security guard. Ass planted on her feet. I have never seen a dog with such intense chivalric guardian energy before. He has tiny eyebrows and they are FURROWED with concentration.
i think this is probably true of every office, but there's a middle aged woman working in business who doesn't hold any particular place in the chain of command but is Sovereign. i was running support and she has access to more secure network drives than i do. im pretty sure she has an admin account. i was having trouble with my parking pass and my boss just said to talk to kristen- one day later i had parking in any garage on campus. she's not even in charge of parking in our building
everyone has that one companion who just keeps detonating the traps, right? i cannot be the only one. and it's lae'zel who does it specifically which is funny considering SHE'S THE ONE WHO SPOTS THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE??? thanks lae'zel. where would we be without you, queen
Side note, they go to the carnival one time and the mc wins a rose at a shooting contest. They even make a point to zoom in on it. And then nothing happens!!! It disappears, never to be seen again!
Like you were so close, just let her give the rose to her neighbour/secret nemesis/potential lover
Is it just me or are there so many shows that would be immensely better if they were gay?
And not just in general but in a specific character motivation, plot driving way?
Basically this woman gets gaslighted by everyone around her to make her kill a random guy. For an art project.
Apart from the intensely homoerotic friendship she had with her now dead childhood best friend (yes she meets someone that looks like her and yes they exchange very long stares) she has lots tension with her upstairs neighbor.
The thing is the neighbor is essential to the whole evil plot. She gains the main character's trust, helps her gather "clues" but most importantly rats on the coup in the end.
Why does she do it?
Well, main girl pulls a gun on her for one. But the neighbour also grows to care for her and feels remorseful. Prime material for romance tinted drama if you ask me
