EYE CREAM 101
The eyelid is the thinnest skin on the body. From sleep deprivation and squinting, to putting in contact lenses and taking off make-up, even smiling, frowning or just blinking; everything seems to take its toll on our fragile eye area.
Our eyes are constantly active (we blink 10,000 times a day), that is why the skin around the eyes is the first to show age. Eye creams are designed to be lighter in texture than facial moisturizers and they are formulated specifically for the skin around the eyes. Packing on a lot of product will not make it more effective. Proper application is extremely important.
Using your ring finger, dab or dot a pea-size amount along your orbital bone. Do not use directly on your eye lids- this may be the cause of your puffiness! Start at the outer corner of your eye and work around and above the brow bone.
Remember eye cream will spread after applying, so be careful not to get too close to your eye or on your eyelashes! Always give your product about 90 seconds to absorb and dry, before you put moisturizer or makeup over it.
