So I ran into your lore snippet about how dragons acquire elemental magic, and it really inspired me. I have a lot of thoughts related to your headcanon, mostly about expanding on it and exploring some implications of that. It is still your idea, however, so I don't want to use it without your permission. Are you OK with the idea of other people using and expanding on your headcanon in that way?

A small journal was lying on the ground. It's torn and the cover is dark blue with gold decorations. I opened the book and read through what has been written in it.

I have been contacted by people couple flights away. They say there are strange trees in their area that sprout and spread quickly and they have not been able to get rid of them. They want me to stop the trees from spreading to the village.

I have arrived to the village. Some of these people seem startled by this fenomenom, a hatchling came up to me and asked if I am here to stop the trees from "walking". Interesting way to express fast spreading.

I will start the research tomorrow, I am too weary from the travel and it is late. I walked around a bit and did not recognize what trees these are. I need fo check my books when I get back to the Inn.

I have never seen this in person before. The trees have grown and spread in record speed over night. I'm sure there wasn't even sprouts in these spots yesterday. Incredible! I did not find anything in my books about these trees.

I will stay up tonight and investigate the growth rate of these trees. Vegetation does not usually grow at night so there must be something going on. The Inn lady offered me sandwhiches and a bottle of mead for snacks.

The trees are walking.

I am not kidding these trees just got up and started walking.

I got to the roof of the Inn, these trees really tried to run me down but I managed to fly away.

It seems they are all heading to one direction. They settled down when Sun started to come up.

I told the villagers to lock their doors and windows thight before sunset. They say that some of the villagers have gone missing previously at night.

I am taking a twig from these trees for further research.

The dates are couple months old. A journal this recent should not look this ragged. Something happened to this person.
