Happy global Ensemble Stars streaming!
I didn't realize how badly I wanted an electro-swing shuffle. Since I can't get the song out of my head, here's a translation for everyone.
Edit 4/29/2024: I forgot a line from Hinata, so I've added it.
Translation under the cut.
Hokuto: Ringing evil phone
Natsume: Hello
Hokuto: Your hesitant finger wavers over the private dial
Hajime/Ritsu: The border line of reason, what a precarious border line
Natsume: Soon your anticipation will outweigh your anxiety
Hinata/Hajime/Ritsu: Step across the border line, connect the world lines
Ritsu: Through the receiver I hear you gasp as your breath's taken away
Hajime/Ritsu: I can't help but smile
Hinata:Just can't help it
Natsume: Could you speak a little more clearly?
I'll praise you for your confused courage
Hinata: Who's calling please?
Hokuto: Let's hear out this inquiry, shall we?
Now,
Hajime: Ringing evil phone
I have a wish that I can't reveal to anyone,
Hinata: Ah, what a tempting looking soul
Calling-Calling, make sure your request is as clear as possible
Ritsu: You want us to make it reality, don't you?
Our prices are always fair, without any deception
Just say the word once you're prepared
Natsume/Hokuto: And say yes with your voice to the contract
Hinata: Perhaps if you just prayed to god, this would have worked out without any issue
Natsume/Hokuto/Hajime: A line that's as good as a prayer, a fated secret lie
Ritsu: Succumbing to temptation is something you must take responsibility for, don't you know?
Natsume/Hokuto/Hajime: This is the secret line you've chosen, welcome to the end of the line
Hokuto: The sound of your voice becoming so relaxed
Natsume/Hokuto: Is rather dangerous, but so precious
Hajime: So cute
Hinata: You're just barely holding onto that facade of being a good person
Seems like we'll have some fun in tricking you, huh?
Hajime: Whose fault is it?
Ritsu: Let's return to back to the topic at hand
Now,
Ritsu: Ringing evil phone
That wish hiding deep inside of your heart,
Hajime: Ahh, what a lonely looking soul
Calling-Calling, just leave it to me, whatever your heart desires
Natsume: I'll grant them all for you
With that, just give me your word as a binding contract
Let me hear it directly from your lips
Ringing evil phone...
Say yes with your voice to the contract, Say yes with your voice to the contract
Ringing evil phone...
Natsume: Hey, all those excuses you're holding on to…
Hokuto: Just gather them up and admit them
Hinata: Hey, don't you realize that if you take this long…
Ritsu: My heart
Hajime/Hinata: and my body
Natsume & Hokuto & Ritsu: Just can't stand waiting for you?
Hinata: Ringing evil phone
Hajime: I have a wish that I can't reveal to anyone,
Ritsu: Ah, what a tempting looking soul
(Now)
Just leave it to me, whatever your heart desires
I'll grant it for you
Hinata: With that, just give me your word as contract
Hokuto: Let's come to an agreement
Natsume: Let me hear it directly from your lips
Say yes with your voice to the contract
Natsume: Ringing evil phone

Twilight Pentagram
Do not reprint, reuse, retranslate, or link this translation on wikias and external sites without my permission.
Lyricist: Yohei Matsui
Composer: Kyohei Yamamoto (Arte Refact)
Arranger: Taishi Kawai (Arte Refact)
Translation under the cut.
I forgot I had the game size of this sitting in my drafts, so I decided to translate the full thing since they really just added one verse.
Natsume: I knew that you'd come here,
Wataru: To where nothing is impossible
Wataru/Natsume : Is this a dream or reality?
Natsume: "Isn’t either just FINE?"
Shu: There's no such thing as unbreakable,
Kanata: when you know it's all as transient as a bubble
Shu/Kanata: Those are the Rules of the Game, after all
Rei: So let us rejoice in this moment
Wataru/Kanata: Perhaps this is just a fleeting flirtation?
Rei/Shu: This Moebius strip without a reverse
Wataru/Kanata: is chaotically tangled up
Natsume/Rei: and tied together by a twist of fate,
Shu/Wataru: A Pentagram
Rei: twinkles bewitchingly
These twilight reminiscences
Kanata: float up to the sky
I want to sing freely
Wataru: just as I please
To our merrymaking,
Shu: We invite you to join
in the Eccentrics’ Showtime
Kanata: In this moment between the ebb and flow of the hour's tides,
Rei: Until dawn breaks,
Kanata/Rei: let's make the most of this transient moment
Rei: "You should come along, too."
Natsume: Let us cast a spell on the ash-covered Cinderella, (2)
Shu: and dress her in a beautiful gown,
Natsume/Shu: Don't worry about doing it as we rehearsed,
Wataru: just dance comically!
Natsume/Kanata: If eternity truly existed,
Shu/Wataru: it surely wouldn't last forever
Natsume/Kanata: Rather, it's a moment to be cherished
Shu/Rei: That starstruck expression
Kanata/Wataru: In Your Smile
Natsume: You've shown now has taught me that.
What’s Amazing Night
For the Artist in Bloom
Endless Twilight Magic!
Shu: These nostalgic Memorials
Kanata: Overlap dazzlingly without rhyme or reason
Wataru: What great joy we’ve found here,
Rei: Our meeting was not a fleeting dream,
Natsume: but something stronger
Wataru: If you take that twilight dream
Rei: and resurrect it,
Natsume: I’ll show you
Kanata: its continuation
And take those 5 stars, with something different from fate,
Shu: And tie them together
Let's draw it out
That Pentagram
With nothing but miracles trapped within
Shu/Natsume: Let's leave the past in the past
Wataru/Kanata: and let the future be the future
Rei: Let's make this moment
Rei/Natsume: last for eternity
A Showtime to bid farewell to you (1)
Whoo! Yeah, yeah
Twilight Pentagram
Translation notes:
泡沫 is like, “ephemeral” or a “bubble”, so I combined it because I liked the imagery for Kanata.
This entire song is full of imagery related to the oddballs and this stanza is full of it, but the note applies to the whole song, so I'll just translate Yohei Matsui's tweet about it: The title of Altered's song "Twilight Pentagram" is taken from Natsume's necklace, which is a pentagram. The lines about the ash-covered princess, Cinderella, in the 2nd verse are a reference to the "ashes returned to the sky" -> and the phoenix, a symbol of eternity and a god (Kanata), that is revived (Rei). The dress (Shu) is a symbol of the magic (Natsume) given/casted on Cinderella in her fairy tale (Wataru). I imagined a story that was supposed to end at midnight that then became eternal.

Blessed Library
Do not reprint, reuse, retranslate, or link this translation on wikias and external sites without my permission.
Lyricist: Yoshie Isogai
Composer: Akiko Shikata
I wasn't planning on translating this, but I hate speedsubbers. This version may still have some inaccuracies, so my usual rules of no reprints still applies.
Translation below the cut.
God bless! Life is a novel!*
Shu: Throughout this world are words scattered
Mika: like -fragments- of stars,
And mankind gathers the scraps one-by-one to weave stories
Shu: Across the fabric of ever-changing time,*
Mika: this handwriting is -proof- of their life
Shu: Joy,
Mika: love,
Sorrow, even fury…
gather here into an unsightly, yet beautiful melody
Those celebrated lengthy -long novels-, and even nameless one-line poems are equal to the writings of the gods’
Ahh! Bookshelves arranged in a spiral
lined with countless spines of books stand
in this blessed library
Shu: Like a hand playing a musical scale,
Mika: may the wind that unfurls these pages
carry them to eternity
Mika: Goodness and wickedness are two sides of the same coin,
is this a comedy?
Shu: Or is this a tragedy?
love and sin dissolve into the -ink-
and etch a masterpiece, a -dream- filled with ideals*
Shu: What do you wish for? What do you aspire to?
Mika: A phantom asks without reason (2)
Shu: This fleeting
Mika: warmth,
strength, and fragility
are carried upon the pages of this peerless and noble sound*
Mika: Let our way of life
Shu: captivate you
Are stories of worldly success the only ones illuminated by the light of boundless -Agape-, which shines down from the heavens?*
Nay! Those as of yet unfinished tales of -adventures-,
with their frank honesty that become dear memories
are also precious treasures
Now, play the song of beloved life and offer it up to this blessed library
Mika: We offer this up
Shu: to the future
Translation notes:
*= I took slight creative liberties to make this flow better in English.
Words written in dashes were written with certain kanji in the original Japanese but read differently. I've tried to incorporate both into the translated lyrics.
- 断片-かけら-: Written as a "scrap" (of paper) but sung as "fragment" in Japanese.
- 筆跡-プルーフ: Written as "handwriting" but sung as "proof" (as in evidence) in English
- 長篇-ロング・ノヴェル-: Literally like, "lengthy" but sung as "long novel" in English.
- 洋墨-インク-: "Western ink" literally and just sung as "ink" in English.
- 慈愛-アガペ-: "Fondness" but sung as "Agape", considered the highest form of unconditional love.
- 冒険物語-アドベンチャー-: "Tales of adventure" sung as "Adventures" in English.
I'm not 100% sure about this line, but in Japanese this is literally like "Phantom of unsolicited questions". It sounds like, in the context of the song, the "invisible audience" of people's lives asking them what higher purpose they're aspiring to when people don't need to make their lives grand to prove their worth. Just my interpretation.

NA NA NA SUMMER NIGHT BeeAT
Do not reprint, reuse, retranslate, or link this translation on wikias and external sites without my permission.
Lyricist: Youhei Matsui & HIROKI - ORANGE RANGE
Composer: NAOTO - ORANGE RANGE
I wasn't planning on TLing this until I noticed a lot of the translations out there were missing some of the fun imagery, so here it is.
Translation below cut.
(Na Na Na Na Na Na…Na Na Na Na Na Na…)
Na Na Na Na Na Na…Crazy BeeAT!
Na Na Na Na Na Na…Summer Night!
I’ll pierce your heart with my stinger!
(Please!)
Completely bare and stripped down (Whoo!)
Our reason is completely naked (Hey!)
There are no rules (None!)
No limits, only one winner! (Ao!)
Summer’s coming! (It’s here!)
We’re invincible (Invincible!)
You can’t stop us (Unstoppable!)
I’ve discarded all reason (Reason!)
Those annoying morals
Are melting away
The sound of your solitary footsteps caught my attention
With your back to the fireworks,
You looked like a girl bearing a flower upon your back
And I was drawn to you
Even if my cheeks are burned by the sun’s heat
And break apart,
(It’s fine, fine!)
Like a summer bee drawn to the flame, I’ll drown in that honeyed scent (1)
I’ll pierce your heart with my stinger!
(Hi! Hit On! Hi! Hit On!)
A flame that won’t be extinguished easily (Fiery instincts!) (2)
Even if we just met, my imagination is going “Hold on!”
That enticing gaze of yours is hot (Seriously!)
Something’s gonna start, right? This is bound to be...
(Na Na Na Na Na Na…)
A Summer Night!
Wasting my words on banter
Just isn’t my style
Let’s ignite this night’s
Intoxicating atmosphere
That will definitely be a
Burning romance!
Won’t you let me take a shot at that one-in-a-million chance with you?
Like a summer bee drawn to the flame, playing with fire (3) could become fate
I’m fired up, dancing at the festival,
And drowning in that honeyed scent
Until the fireworks end,
I’ll pierce your heart with my stinger!
(Kiss!)
Na Na Na Na Na Na…Crazy BeeAT!
Na Na Na Na Na Na…Summer Night!
A hot romance
That leaves a burn!
(Na Na Na Na Na Na…)
Translation notes:
This is derived from the Japanese idiom “The summer insect flies into the flame” and is used to refer to a reckless person that charges into danger without thinking.
"Flame" and "instincts" were nearly homophones in Japanese (Honoo and Honou). I thought that was fun so I'm leaving a note here.
“火遊び” means to "play with fire" but can also mean to flirt with or have an affair with someone.

演劇 / Play (Full ver.)
Producer: Nanou
Vocals: Hatsune Miku
Commissioned song for the Project SEKAI event Farewell to My Masked Self. Translation below the cut.
Once upon a time, someone said
Everyone has a role to play
By fulfilling what others lack,
We live by complementing one another
And so what about my own emptiness?
There must be someone to fill that
Can you hear me? Oh certain someone…
Someone once said to someone
"Your role is like this."
"I tell you this because I love you."
"Everyone else's life is like this, too."
Your smiling face filled me with such joy,
That I desperately played my role
To the point of forgetting to breathe
In the garbage of a back alley
Sits an abandoned Randoseru (1)
Worrying about my surroundings even when I smile,
When did this habit of mine begin?
If I could just have one wish,
I would wish for this
Stupid play to reach its finale.
I've been living my life wrong all this time
But even if I were freed of this collar,
Just where can I run?
All I wanted was my true and honest self,
Is this the price I have to pay, god?
It's just cruel, all too cruel
Just let this come to an end…
Hurry and end it.
The world is made of people's absurdities
And people's determination
Everyone is doing their best
To play the difficult roles forced upon them
So my own despair should bear fruit someday (2)
I truly believed there must be some meaning to all this
A small wish,
A pure and innocent dream for the future,
As long as you pray, these things will come true
Who taught me these things?
If you're watching over me now,
Then grant my current self a name
Because I don't know myself anymore
I'm begging you, don't come any closer
My trembling hands are joined together in prayer
Despite all this, morning will still come
All I wanted was a simple and honest future,
Is that such a stupid wish, god?
All of this is pointless, all of it
It's exhausting
Just to keep breathing.
I wished to be loved
To be loved, I threw myself away
Standing upon a stage with no audience,
A voice resounded
"I am here," it cried
"Please notice me," it screamed
No one heard it, except for me
Because it was my voice.
I've been doing this wrong, I breathe
I've finally realized it.
There's no place for me to belong here
But I still want my true and honest self
I ran away and found a small light
That could break this curse
Now, my play shall end here because…
I've opened my eyes.
Translation notes
Randoseru - A thick (synthetic) leather backpack typically used by elementary school students in Japan. I rendered it as "Randoseru" here instead of backpack because I think it's a very obvious reference to Mafuyu throwing away her dreams and innocence from her elementary school days.
In Japanese this was literally "someday my despair will make flowers bloom" but I don't think it had the same feeling in English, so I used an English idiom.

Meikyuu Denshi Kairou
Do not reprint, reuse, retranslate, or link this translation on wikias and external sites without my permission.
Lyricist: Saori Kodama
Composer: Yoshihiro Suda (Relic Lyric, inc.)
Arranger: Yoshihiro Suda (Relic Lyric, inc.)
I wasn’t able to choose a translation for 迷宮電子回廊 , but the two titles I came up with were “Winding Electronic Corridors” and “Labyrinthine Electronic Cloisters“. As a sidenote, “Cloister” felt more appropriate considering the dilapidated church aesthetics of the song, but “corridors” flows a bit better to my ears.
Translation under the cut.
Spirits beckon you into these winding corridors
(An die Freude, Libera me)
Ahh, overwritten melodies sink into legend
(An die Freude , Libera me)
Now, let us reveal those corridors, suspended in electricity
(A song governs over questioning love and delivering punishment)
We mischievously pass judgment,
Whilst hiding behind the veil of anonymity
We become ghosts,
And dance in this underground trial
(A song that governs the corridors where we meet, inviting souls into love…)
A faceless choir surrounds the lonely soloist
Sing loudly for those who have nowhere to return to that truth lies here
The curtain is raised to rapture, agitators of those times,
Come forth, audience, to the new world where 0s and 1s bloom in abundance
A game crueler than a dream
Everyone in this game must be yearning,
Towards the myth of that perfect world
(Winding corridors, love is the perfect world)
Compassion reverberates through this faceless choir
The salvation of suffering and the cries of the helpless poured into this performance become light
To the children of those days, lost in the fragile waves,
Come forth now, to the new world of trapped 0s and 1s
Translation notes:
The German in the choral lyrics, “An die Freude, Libera me” are most likely references to the ode “Ode to Joy” and the Catholic responsory “Libera me”.

A Story That's Entirely My Own: Chapter 2
Do not reprint, reuse, retranslate, or link this translation on wikias and external sites without my permission.
Edited 12/31/2022 for formatting errors with the Oissu script.
Author: Chitose Umeda
Season: Winter
...Well, hearin' that is real encouragin'.
Season: Winter
Location: Shu's Apartment in Paris
Time: That evening, afternoon in Paris
Shu: So? Is Kagehira making good progress on the work for his “Feature Live”?
You’re going to check on him now, you say?
It’s already quite late over there, you won’t be allowed to enter the dormitory at this time, young lady.
He’s not doing his work at school at this hour, is he?
It’s not that, but he’s working in the prop room at ES at your suggestion…? Hm, the work environment affects the quality of the craftsmanship, so I appreciate you looking out for him.
I'm planning to see Kagehira's feature live, but my hands are so full with preparing for my next exhibition that I won't be able to leave Paris until right before the show. I don't want to interrupt him, especially since it'd just upset his concentration, but it is frustrating that all I can do is have information relayed through you, young lady.
I hope I'm not being overbearing just because he'll be standing on stage alone...
At any rate, be sure not to work too late into the night. And one more thing, I have a message I'd like you to relay to him, if that's alright?
Location: ES Building
Shu: [Though, if you think what I have to say is unnecessary, then you don't need to tell him. ]
[I'm counting on you, young lady.]
Mika: Nnah, who's there?!
I have this room to myself right now, I'm real sorry 'bout that. I'll leave as soon as I finish my own business–
...Hm? That voice…is that you, Anzu-chan?
Ahh, ya gave me a real fright. I was panickin' since I thought some stranger came in.
Anywho, take a look at this! It's that plushie I said I'd stand up on the stage with, he's finally taken shape~
I gotta thank ya for lettin' me use the props room. I can spread out the fabric as much as I need and it's quiet so I can focus.
Hm, yeah? You're wonderin' if I can see my hands okay?
I can see just fine. I got a lamp on, so I feel more relaxed and I work better in this dim light.
Y'know that I can't see too well when it's dark out, but I can only see my hands right now, so I feel like I'm even more focused than usual.
Mika: Just like this! (Sewing motion) I feel like I can keep on sewin' forever.
Ehehe, I'm happy that you're praisin' me for makin' such a cute plushie.
I'ma keep sewin' it carefully right til the end, so please look forward to it~
Hm? Ya wanna get a picture of me with this here plushie?
Oh, you're gonna use it for the "Feature Live" pamphlet, aren'tcha? That completely slipped my mind
... Hmm, the room's a bit cluttered, huh? And it's hard to get a picture when it's so dark...
Well, if you say it's okay, I'll just leave it in your hands then~ I trust that ya can get a good picture
...~ (Sewing the plushie more)
Ehehe, since ya keep saying the plushie is so cute, Anzu-chan, I'm sure it's happy too.
We're gonna give it our all the day of the Feature Live...
Nnah... Sorry fer gettin' quiet all of a sudden.
I don't really think about it while I'm workin', but sometimes I get anxious at the drop of a hat.
I keep thinking, how is my solo live show gonna turn out? What kinda atmosphere is it gonna have? Can I really pull it off?
...Even today, Naru-chan, Ritsu-kun, Ikkun, Yukkun, and even Oogami-kun were all cheerin' me on...
"We're all looking forward to it, so do your best!" Is what they were all sayin'...
But I wonder if I can really live up to everyone's expectations...
and if I can make Teach proud...
Mmm, I mean to say I wonder if I can create a stage where Teach'll recognize my efforts, even if it's just a little, with happiness or praise...
Mika:.... ... ...
Gettin' cold feet now and thinkin' weak stuff like that won’t get me anywhere.
Until the day of the live, and even on top of that stage, I'm gonna do the best that I can do...!
Hm? Anzu-chan, what's up? Is there somethin' you wanna say to me?
...I have an art that only I can create, so ya want me to be confident in myself and to hold myself with pride and to devote myself to my efforts?
We put our soul into the art and into the stage, and it is that heart which captures our audience and shakes them to their very core.
Ehehe, what's with ya all of a sudden? Ya kinda sounded like Teach, and listenin' to ya made me feel all embarrassed...
...Huh? Whaddya mean by "honestly"?
Eeeh?! That was a message straight from Teach?! H-hang on now, whaddya mean?!
Teach asked ya to pass on that message because he was worried that tellin' me himself would make me lose focus...?
Hahh, what the... Man...
It's true that I've been puttin' off callin' him because I'm afraid I'll get all anxious and jittery when I hear his voice but...
...Well, hearin' that is real encouragin'.
I think Teach believes that I can do this too, so he gave ya that message to pass on, Anzu-chan.
I'm gonna clear out a~ll the worries in my heart and only believe what Teach and my friends say!
Anzu-chan, you better look forward to it!
Mika: As an artist and as an idol, I'll create a stage that no one else can...!

Please do not repost my translations in full to any site or social media.
Please do not link this blog on any public masterlists or mirror them to a wiki-like space. This is primarily hobby-driven and I do not have access to JP or EN proofreaders. You are however permitted to link things privately to friends and such.

All posts have reblogs turned off to reduce circulation. I see all replies/likes/asks though, so feel free to send them.
I only have these precautions in place since I admit I do this mostly as a hobby and other people are far more credible, but I try to remain as accurate as possible while preserving the flow in English.
