Wearable Study Bottle
Tumblr media
Back to school means lots of stress, and even more exams. It's important to study all the time as much as you can, and this wearable* spell bottle is a neat little way to help increase your productivity.
* does not have to be worn, can be carried as usual
What you need:
The spell:
Small jar, preferably glass and corked
Sage // wisdom, mental clarity
Cinnamon // success, increased mental energy
Ginger // power booster, energy boost
Irish moss // luck
Chamomile // stress relief
Peppermint // mental clarity, success
Lemon balm // success
Lemon peel // energy booster!
Elderberry // power boost
Heather // protection, luck
Wearable charm:
Eye pin
Jump ring
Necklace/something you want to put the charm on (a second one I did, which I'll post later, is a protection charm for my keys)
What you do:
If you're going to make it wearable:
Poke your eye pin through the cork top, and bend the excess back into the cork (like a j going through the cork)
Glue the eye pin to the cork, so there's no way it can come off and break
Connect a jump ring to the eye, so now you have a way to connect your charm to whatever you want it to hang off of
Take wax or super glue, and seal shut 🖤
As you can see, I didn't have an eye pin or a jump ring, so I bent a few sewing pins using jewelry pliars into the shape I needed
For the bottle:
Layer your herbs inside the bottle, it do esn't matter what order 😊
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm not a photographer, but I think you get the point 😊🖤
Tumblr media
This is it when it's done.
Please remember that this will not work if you don't study. Magic can only boost, it won't make you pass the exam if you don't do the work. Happy school year!

@crimsonkit it's the wild unknown deck! I love working with it. It doesn't sugarcoat anything and it doesn't matter if you use it every day or once every few months it's always ready to work 😁
So I’m a College Witch and have to start studying this week. And I wanted to “get in the mood” for it so I did a little spread. Maybe some of you want to try it out for your next exam period :)
Tumblr media
(And yes my deck called me out on not being to confident with what I think I remember and what I actually remember 😅)

Just some magic circles, these can be used to focus and contain energy and form a sacred space of magical protection or both. It can be drawn out in salt, chalk, pencil or otherwise it can be visualised
These are obviously more extravagant circles you can always do a simple circle if you are more comfortable with that

“Oh I love roses! I try growing them myself, but they never get very far.”
“Would you like to know the secret to healthy rose bushes,” I asked, knowing that she would not like the answer.
“Do tell!”
Grin. “Blood.”
The customer paused, waiting for me to say that I was kidding. But I wasn’t so it never came. She became nervous.
And before I could explain that blood meal is a common soil fixer and fertilizer, she put her hands up, spun around and said-
“Bye.”
You want to know the secrets to a beautiful garden? You better be prepared for some weird shit.

📅🕯️Busy Witch Routine🕯️📅
Hello Witches,
Now, I know as much as we’d prefer to spend our days riding broomsticks and brewing our potions in the big ol’ cauldron.
We still have responsibilities * shudders*, some of us are mothers, students, workers, or just people with a hectic schedule.
These are ways to get some witchy practice without completely throwing off our daily routines.
                                  🌅 Waking Up 🌅
Do some Yoga poses for 2 minutes.
Brush your teeth counter-clockwise to banish negativity from your day.
Stir your Coffee/Tea in a clockwise motion to invoke positivity to you and your day.
On your way to work, whisper a silent greeting to the sun. Enjoy its warm rays on your commute.
If you’re willing, try to pack or purchase a healthy snack like fruit and veggie bowls.
                                  🌤️Afternoon🌤️
Ditch the soda! Try rejuvenating yourself with water instead, maybe add some lemon, cucumbers, or even fruits to your water to detoxify your body.
Meditate for 2 minutes, but don’t forget to eat and energize your body again.
Carry crystals with healing and or corresponding energies pertaining to your work, school or plans for that day.
                                   🌕Evening🌑
When cooking/ cleaning, take a moment to play some of your favorite music to invoke spiritual energy.
Take a few minutes to google something you’ like to know! Crystals? Candle colors? Moon phases? Research and learn something new!
Mediate! Even if it’s for another 2 minutes. Anything counts! Clear your mind and relax.
Whisper a “Goodnight” to the moon, enjoy its glow for a few seconds.
Hope this helps you in your journey! We actually do things on this list and it’s been easy to manage!
~Kinara and Nessa

The Ultimate Guide to Potion Bases
We all spend so much time thinking about the correspondences of the actual ingredients that go into our potions that we often forget to think about what the potion base represents! (At least I do.) It would be nice to have a list of all the various liquids that can be used in place of water. Naturally, I can’t think of everything but I think this is a pretty good starting point! What else can be used? Eventually, at some point down the road, I will compile all these thoughts into a book on potion making and want to include this! Keep in mind that these are my own correspondences. Let me know if you disagree or if you’d change anything up! Let’s see how big we can make this list. Also, I should probably note that not all of these liquids can be ingested. (Obviously.)
The List
Vinegar: Used for cleansing and purification potions.  Lemon Juice: Used in hexing, cursing, or revenge potions.  Cranberry Juice: Used in love potions. Apple Juice: Used in healing, knowledge, and youth potions.  Ammonia: Used in banishing, cursing, purification, and protection  Red Wine: Love potions and potions dealing with death and the afterlife.  White Wine: Used in platonic love potions as well as success brews.  Rum: Used in potions involving spirit work.  Whisky: Another good base for potion work.  Vodka: A good base for work involving rapid banishing.  Laundry detergent: Good for cleansing potions.  Oils: Used to speed up a process.  Molasses: Used in potions intended to slow a situation down.  Rubbing Alcohol: Another good base for cleansing and purification. Hydrogen Peroxide: Used in healing potions.  Milk: Used in potions to promote sleep and peace.  Sour Milk: Used to cause nightmares or in potions designed to torment. Orange Juice: For potions of solar importance, healing, success.  Soda Water: Used in potions designed to encourage laughter and giddiness.  Ginger Ale: Used in health or healing potions.  Olive Juice: Used in peace potions.  Honey: Used in potions to sweeten up another’s disposition. Syrup: Used in abundance and prosperity potions.  Beer: Used in potions intended to induce slumber.  Clam Juice: Used in aphrodisiacs.  Cough Syrup: Used in healing potions and to make someone ‘cough it up.’ Soy Sauce: Used in protection potions. (Thanks Lexa Rosean for this one!) Pineapple Juice: Used in abundance potions and fidelity potions.  Coconut Milk: Used in spiritual and magical cleansing potions.  Ice: Solid first, then melted for transformation potions. Coffee: Really, a potion in and of itself in my book. Vanilla Extract: In small amounts, used in passion potions. Witch Hazel: Used in communication and cleansing potions.
What else can you all think of?

Irish Apple Teabread
Apples have always been important in Ireland and not only for eating. They were considered a magical fruit and so were always served, in various forms, at Hallowe’en.
Ingredients:
4 cooking apples (peeled, cored, and grated)
½ tsp finely grated lemon rind
8 oz (1 cup) flour
6 oz (¾ cup) sugar
4 oz (½ cup) butter
1 egg, beaten
Milk to mix
Set oven to 350 F. Mix together the grated apple and lemon rind. Sift the flour into the sugar in a bowl, then rub in the butter until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Stir in the grated apple and beaten egg and mix will, adding sufficient milk to make a smooth dough.
Turn into a shallow, buttered 7 to 8 inch tin and smooth over the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Test that it is fully cooked through by inserting a warm skewer; when this comes out clean, the teabread is cooked.
Serve warm, spread with butter.
Apple Teabread is somewhat similar to Apple Brack, except that [the latter] recipe contains raisins and the apples are cooked before being added to the mixture.
