so, i have been debating this A LOT. given that the suli people are a mixture of roma, south asian and hindu culture, i have been a bit confused as to whether bardugo meant to make the suli people a mixture of these three cultures or she simply thought them interchangeable ( which wouldn't surprise me because white authors ). however, according to my research and inej's backstory, it seems she was meant to lean more toward being roma-coded. even though amita is a nepali-british actress? and i love love love her as inej, however, given that my concept of inej is heavily roma-coded as per the idea that bardugo meant for it to be so, i have decided i will use a roma faceclaim, thus incorporating more aspects of roma culture into inej's backstory and beliefs. this will include roma traditions, roma language and the history of roma ensl*vement thourough the centuries. INEJ WILL BE FULLY ROMA-CODED. if this somehow bothers you or you consider it not according to what the book portrays, i advice you to not follow. ty.

All you need is a full belly, an open road, and an easy heart.
INEJ GHAFA, TAKEN FROM LEIGH BARDUGO'S BOOKS. presenting a study in struggling to keep your roots, ptsd and its effects on the mind and behavior, dealing with the trauma of killing, revenge and its slow descent into violence & dealing with rekindling affection and trust after experiencing trauma.
WRITTEN BY NOSTA (25+)
inej is a MINOR. she is a teenager (16-17 between books), therefore there will be nothing other than platonic and innocent affection written and displayed on this blog. given that inej is also a child s*x trafficking survivor, shipping will never be something i will pay much attention to. the only person i consider shipping inej with at the moment is kaz, for obvious canon reasons.
this blog will delve into the trauma and resulting ptsd inej endured and still struggles with, but I WILL NEVER explicitly write her memories of her time at the menagerie.
don't be gross. we're all adults and you should know how to be a decent person.
i will be highly picky of who i follow/follow back.
