five herbs Porridge breakfast is very tasty and healthy breakfast in Sri Lankan we use Gotu kola - (Centella Asiatica), Iramusu- (Hemidesmus indicus) , Monarakudumbiya - (Botanical name: Vernonia cinerea), Hathawariya - (Botanical name  - Asparagus racemosus), Karapincha - curry leaves (curry leaf tree Scientific name: Murraya koenigii) these five herbs can be use separately to cook porridge. most famous porridge breakfast is Gotu kola porridge and Hathawariya porridge, rice porridge is most famous in the world but most healthy breakfast is herb porridge because of this healthy breakfast recipe containing whit rice coconut milk five herbs leave salt easy to cook it only gets 20 to 30 minutes to cook in a traditional Sri Lankan kitchen but you can prepare this healthy vegan breakfast easily within 10-15 minutes in a modern kitchen. we use grinding stone for grind all herbs but you can use a blender it will quick the cooking process. but we recommended if you can use mortar and pestle because blender cut the leaves but grinding stone and mortar and pestle both grind the herbs and it takes out the nutrition without destroying it. some people used to mix coconut and herbs together and grind but when we cook we have to cook some times until coconut milk boils so some nutritions can be destroyed on this process so I recommend you add coconut milk and herb extract separately. first, add coconut milk and stair until boil well and then add the herb extract and remove the pot soon so you can have the best healthy breakfast.
 some people ask that can porridge help with weight loss? the answer is yes but this is not for weight loss, this is healthy vegan breakfast include most nutrition required you daily.
