A beginning to a beginning

As I sit in the SpyHouse on Nicollet Ave, I'm writing what is going to serve as my very first entry in the recording of my journey to success.  Hell, at the moment I have accomplished absolutely nothing considering I have sat here for over an hour now putzing around on my laptop.  But I have a plan...an Idea rather, Now developing the plan.
I guess I'll give you a little bit of background on who I am.  The name is Ruce, I'm a 29 year old resident of Minneapolis, MN.  Well, technically St Louis Park - - but I've grown up all over the twin cities.  My family immigrated here in '98 from Germany.  Three years before that we fled Bosnia to Germany as refugees due to what some of you may know as the Balkan Wars.  I lost my dad there when I was 4, so it was just my mom traveling with us three boys on her back (My two younger brothers and me)
Like it is for most families here in the United States - - we struggled. Struggled to eat, to pay the bills, to live.  Everything growing up was a struggle.  I did alright in school, I guess as well as I could with the distractions of life for a young teenage boy in a new big world.  Before I was a young adult, I spent a ton of time at home watching after my two younger brothers as my mom worked multiple jobs to sustain us. All we did is play a ton of video games and watch American classics like Armageddon and Independence Day and dreamed of being heroes. Ah... the good old days...where dreaming of being a hero and saving the world was a comforting thought. Now I dream that I can find success so that my family (one I'm still working on starting) doesn't have to struggle like I did growing up.
Fast-forward to now.  I'm almost 30, I've worked almost every job under the sun.  Some I did for the money, others for the experience... some I even did because I thought I would do them forever. Predomantly my experience was in hotel management and customer service, with a strong background in sales.  As I sit here, I'm currently dressed in my Speedy Lawn Care get up - that's my most recent job. Hard manual labor for a miserable mini-dollar.  But it pays the bills, allows me to treat my lady and most importantly gives me the time to sit in a coffee shop on a Sunday night to contemplate world domination. . . erm... I mean success.
The reason we are here is I've decided that I don't want to work for anyone anymore. I mean I made that decision a long time ago, but I'm finally ready to do something about it.  The goal is to start a successful online business. Today was the very first day anything was done about it.  I sat in this coffee shop for about 2 hours brainstorming, reading articles and figuring out if this is something I can actually do.  I would also like to make a entry to this blog every Sunday so that others may get inspired on starting their own adventures but also to hold myself accountable and commited to completing this and writing about it.  Doing so every Sunday I think will be a great reminder to accomplish something every week.
That's all I got for now, I'm meeting with my friend Adam on Tuesday of next week to see if working together is an option. This guy brings a lot to the table so I'm really hoping him and I can come up with a great idea and ways to implement it.  Tune in to next week's post.  I will leave it as a general rule that anyone can criticize, compliment or question me in anyway.
Until next time!
