PLEASE I CAN'T GET OVER THIS, I would read the longest fic I have ever read about this. This would cure anything wrong with me actually I think.

Dabihawks steampunk or cyberpunk AU…. Where Touya is the failed robot-human hybrid creation of Enji Todoroki.

Touya’s robotic parts never blended well with his human body and Enji, embarrassed by his first attempt at combining man and machine, hid Touya away and reworked his programming.

So instead of being Enji’s pride and joy (that title of course went to Shouto), the robot assistant “Dabi” is nothing more than a glorified servant. He can cook, clean, pass out drinks at parties, help with injuries, all without making a sound.

And good lord is Touya pissed. He’s beyond pissed. Eveyday, in the prison of his own mind, he dreams up ways to make Enji pay.

Then one day, an apprentice appears by Enji’s side.

At first, Touya hates Keigo Takami like how he hates everything else associated with his creator/sperm-donor. But slowly, he begins to warm up to the strange man who chatted with him and made jokes, despite Touya never being able to answer back.

And slowly, Touya can’t help but begin to like the guy who always thanked Touya for his meals and for cleaning his room. Touya begins to fall for the man who stressed over new assignments and who stayed up way too late tinkering on his own personal projects.

(“Wings,” he told Touya, even though the not quite robot, not quite human hadn’t made a sound. “I always wanted people to find freedom and well, what’s more freeing that being a bird?”)

Then one day, Touya’s rage melts away and is replaced by heartache. All the conversations he wants to have with Keigo… All the times he wants to take Keigo’s hand… All of it will never, ever happen.

Meanwhile, Keigo finds himself falling hard and fast for a machine. A machine who can never, ever return his affections. His heart would be crying… if it weren’t for the hushed secrets that the Todoroki siblings whispered to each other behind closed doors.

It’s inevitable that one day, Keigo puts the pieces together and learns of the horrifying tragedy of Touya Todoroki.

And it’s inevitable that Keigo, the very night he finds out, runs to Dabi and hugs him as tightly as he can. “I swear I’ll set you free,” he whispers into Dabi’s chest. “I promise.”

Even though Dabi can’t hug back, Keigo knows that Touya must’ve heard him.

After all, mindless robots didn’t cry oily, red tears.
