“Well, I think I’ll open the door of the Georgetown house some morning about 2:00 A.M., look up and down the street, and if there’s no one there, I’ll whisper, “It’s Bobby.””
— John F. Kennedy on how he intended to announce the appointment of his brother to the position of attorney general (1960)

The ugly Air Force One.
Also, I love how Jackie is like, “I’m not waving, this is ridiculous. C'mon Jack.”

I think one of my favorite stories is when Bobby finds out that the drugs JFK was taking for his health weren’t good at all and he tries to tell him to stop and jfk is all like “no ❤️” and Bobby threatens to tell their father and jfk is like “….fine” and then he got rid of Dr.FeelGood lmaoo
I can't believe Bobby pulled a "I'm telling daaaaaadddd" and it worked

I just ordered 3 more RFK books *sigh*
I think I have an unhealthy addiction to Kennedy books
Haha! But in reality, 2 are going to a friend - so it’s ok!

as much as a saint Bob Kennedy was I think his bIGGEST flaw was his family….
all the Kennedys and this odd bond of devotion  to one another for better or for worse unfortunately.
from jacks philandering, Bob running his senator campaign and presidential one, to Ted Kennedy Chappaquiddick situation even JFK jr was questioned about him  having political magazine yet wanted his own writers to “take it easy” on his uncle Ted
people usually have a n attachment to family, nut that attachment can only survive so afr.
when doing the right thing your family can’t be the thing that keeps you form it.
You have to be unbiased and confront them on wrongdoing as anyone else.
Family can’t be the end all be all, because they’re not above morals either. If they’re wrong then they’re wrong.
If he would have became president, idk how he would have handled chappaquocdik, assuming ted would even THINK about going to him for aid on the situation but considering he confront marylin Monroe on jack, his family DOES seem to be his blind spot.
I dont think they’re greedy ladder climbers or selfish people AT ALL, some of the least power hungry people in politics, but this is just an observation of the flaws he may have had.
