Start Small

I've learned that having a business as a teen gives me advantages over older people. Being young gives us a fresh view on the world, one that may question norms and break down boundaries. Accept your youth and use it as a superpower in the world of business. Remember that improving other people's lives is just one aspect of success; it is not the only one. I am a young entrepreneur who is motivated to develop goods and services that enhance people's lives, make them smile, and address pressing issues.

We will surely face difficulties, but let's see them as chances to improve. Failure is only a stepping stone on the road to success; it is not its final destination. Accept every setback as an opportunity to grow, learn, and adapt. The world is changing so quickly that standing still is not an option. Be open to change and unafraid to try new things. Every successful company relies on innovation, and as youth, we have the boldness to think beyond the box and pursue higher goals.

Be in the company of role models and people who share your beliefs and are confident in your abilities. Consult with seasoned businesspeople who can share advice from their experiences. We can do far more collectively than we ever could on our own thanks to the strong force of collaboration. Keep in mind that you are more than simply a young adult running a business you are an agent of change, a spark of hope, and an inspiration to others. Let your dedication and enthusiasm inspire your actions. Always keep in mind why you started this path while having huge dreams and working hard.

Letting Go

Seeing my dad having a bright future for our family I was inspired to have a business in the future. Businesses provide a platform for making a beneficial impact on society in addition to producing money. I want to create a business that is not just financially successful but also ethical. I want to build a company that has a positive lasting influence on the environment and the lives of people by emphasizing sustainable practices, giving back to the community, and promoting ethical ideals.

Though aspirations are important, I am aware that they require careful planning and effort in order to be realized. I want to start my entrepreneurial adventure as a teen step by step. First and foremost, I'll put an emphasis on learning and build a solid foundation in business-related courses. I'll actively look for mentors and take advice from seasoned businesspeople who can help me navigate the possibilities and problems of the corporate world.

Since my dream of becoming a professional basketball player is not worth it anymore. I decided to pursue another career and set aside my childhood dream. Changing a career is hard leaving the one that you love to start all over again but I just tell myself that being a professional player is not for me and maybe this business side is just the perfect time for me to start and stand on my own name.

New Beginnings

I have a lot of hopes and goals as a teenager, and one of my deepest wishes is to succeed in business. The opportunity for innovation, influence, and the chance to have a long-lasting effect on society all draw me to the business sector. If you are reading this, I will tell you that starting a business is easy but sustaining it is the hardest to do. Not every business will have a chance to be trend or boom if you do not put extra hard work on it and not putting every single effort on what you love.

My dad was a businessman he is my idol on what everything he do. My dad started his company by just having his last salary from his old work he started having a small capital. He just put all his effort on his business and every month or year his business keeps on growing and he continue to sustain it and add more business. He keeps on inspiring me to go beyond my limits and when the time we have our house here in a private subdivision in Calamba. I started working on his company I can start working because we have only an online class which I can manage to do when I am working.

When I was working in his company, I was dreaming one day that this is not only the business we are having more business than this. My father’s company was having a problem financially but he inspires me that every problem has a solution and after that problem, we bought land that will sustain our income in the future. A farm and a rest house that will support our existing business.

Pandemic Journey

The time when covid comes on the first month I was working out because I believe that covid will be gone as soon as possible but it didn’t go well covid was spreading all over the Philippines and my hope for being on the big stage is almost over. I was introduced to mobile games and computer games and my body was not on the good shape I was getting bigger and I didn’t notice it. I was busy on playing everyday my diet was destroyed.

After few months I discover how crypto works by the help of my online friend and I start trading and futures on first I was burning money because I was starting from scratch and studying all day how the market will work but after a month, I was capable of earning profit after profit. That month I hit my biggest money of six digits and start to build my own pc and buying what I want because I was still earning due to crypto and playing games that is play to earn and it stop me from playing basketball for a year.

My body was not that good I was heavy than before my body was two times my body before the covid and I was not getting enough exercise and a proper diet because of sleepless night and not getting enough sleep but I still try to workout but it consume my time studying the market and even though online class started I still manage to study the market and make money even though the pandemic was not over.

Almost Over

From the quote of my idol Stephen Curry Success is not an accident, success is actually a choice. Being a teenager hard work is the start of success after our principal didn’t allow me to play for other school I shock because that will be the stepping stone for other big leagues. Another league came to our school but it didn’t go well but I still play the game right. Another thing is I improved a lot giving it all when I play and last ligang barangay before we move to Calamba.

I was hitting the three on our first game setting a record for thirteen threes in a single game and our team win. After that game I know that I improved a lot and can have a shot. Then there was a time that my father saw a tryout in LPU Laguna so I tryout I was doing good that time at first, I was wrong because I tryout for the college team even though I was an upcoming senior high student but I still make to the second wave of the tryout. But on the other day when the tryout came for senior high students I did well on the tryout but sadly I didn’t make on the second wave. Before that tryout I have plenty of offers from other school and one is at PCU Manila where my coach was playing but I still choose LPU Laguna but it didn’t go to my plan.

I still have an offer from Don Bosco Canlubang to play for their varsity team even though I was studying at LPU Laguna. That season I was doing great putting up big numbers to give our team a chance to play in the second round but It was not enough to make it to the quarters. After that season I still have an offer from other leagues around Laguna. I still can make it to the big league, but Covid destroys all of my dreams.

The Journey

The opening of the ligang barangay my first Liga as a kid I know this is my rookie year but as a kid dreaming of becoming one of the best, I am born ready. On the first day of our ligang barangay, our team was selected for the first game for the mosquito division. I remember that day before our game start our coach said that “Do your best never let your fear overcome you”. After I heard that I was like on a mamba mode. In our pregame warmup, I was just chilling and just hitting some shots because it is my first time after it we won and our team did our best I became the best player of the game.

After my rookie year, my basketball career in our barangay went through. I became one of our subdivision's best players to compete in every ligang barangay. In my elementary and high school while I was studying in Colegio de Sta. Rosa de Lima I was a varsity at that time we are competing in many leagues around Sta. Rosa but our team is not that great to compete with other teams but we still win some games although our school is not focused on sports we did great on our journey as a varsity player.

In my last two years playing for my school in my 3rd year as a high school student I was not getting the right minutes but still, I was playing great that time our team didn’t make the playoffs at that time one of our best players left our school. After our best player left the school at that time in my last year being a high school varsity that year I will say that I have plenty of opportunity. One thing is our team did great on that year and one school was interested in my playing to play for them in the City meet but our school principal just didn’t give me a single shot to play that I didn’t know what was the reason behind.

Practice makes perfect

Before I start this blog, I would like to give a quote from Maya Angelou. You will face many defeats in life, but never let yourself be defeated I love this quote because many defeats in life can make your life even stronger. To continue with my past blog during the time I was practicing how to smash even though I was trying how to play badminton I still play basketball but, in our neighborhood, we cannot play always basketball because it is only a halfcourt but it didn’t stop us as a kid because we build a mini basketball court in my friend street we enjoy playing here in the streets I also remember the time a typhoon came but ball is life we continue to play because we are enjoying it.

I also remember my best friend who died due to dengue he is my friend when I was studying near in our house we use to play in our street and playing basketball. When he died, I almost quit basketball because I lost a friend that I use to play with. I stop for a month because it takes me time to recover but I never quit because he said to back then that we will be a professional basketball player someday. Many challenges came to me back when I was a child one challenge is how can I join our basketball team in ligang barangay. I started practicing even though I was a child I use to practice all day to improve my playing skills.

There is one man that teaches me every day who teaches me the mechanics of playing basketball. I know to myself that I can play ball when the tryout came, I did my best my hard work pays off I was selected on our village team to represent the mosquito division I am a rookie on this team our coach tells me to play shooting guard position because in the tryout I was shooting the ball well. Our team always practice after our school class I was improving day by day my shooting skills are doing well next blog I will tell how our team do in the ligang barangay.

Starting Line

Hello, this is Robie Diaz a blog from Student Athlete to Businessman in my blog you will witness the journey how a former student athlete transforms into a future successful businessman also in this blog an inspiring journey of my transformation becoming an entrepreneur and hope you can learn from my experiences. The great experience of being a student athlete teaches discipline, collaboration, and devotion. Every athlete's competitive playing days finish at some point in their career, though. Some chooses to be an athlete full time but for me it is for my better future to start a business in a young age. Doing this decision for me is hard because switching from the path from the scratch is always hard.

I am just a kid who lives in Masiit, Sta. Rosa Laguna which we called a squatter area because my family is on the lower class back then. My grandfather and my grandmother raise me when I was a child my grandparents teach me how to be discipline in a young age when I was just 3yrs old. I could say that I am a grandparent’s boy. My parents are busy with their work I am just a only child back then and the day has come that my parents hard work pays off because we decided to move from a squatter area to a middle class subdivision which is in Macabling, Sta. Rosa Laguna.

In my younger days, I usually play basketball all day because I dream to play in a big league here in the Philippines. Back then I always watch the PBA because of my uncle who also loves to play basketball back in his prime age my parents never taught me to play basketball but my neighbor push me to play because of my agility. My father's sport is badminton so my first sport is not basketball which is badminton but it never stops my inner child to play basketball. I started playing basketball when I was 5yrs old my neighbor teach me first how to dribble the ball and I am getting used to it when I watch him play I practice as a child like I was a grown man playing the game that I love.
