Y/N’s feeling the pressure of her job and its realities, but Jack and Nico are there to help.
——————————————————————————
Being the first woman in the NHL was very challenging Y/N learned, and it was only her first week. At just 18, Y/N had taken the hockey world by storm and been drafted by the New Jersey Devils in the 2023 Draft. She was to start the next season, but her mind was eating away at her. And morning skate definitely wasn’t helping.
“L/N! The puck!” Mercer caught her attention, and Y/N swiftly handled the puck and passed it to Bahl who was slightly to her right. He took it down and shot, but missed and the drill was over.
“Hey, you okay?” Nico Hischier, ever the caring captain, asked as he skated to her side. “You seem out of it.” He skated backwards as Y/N’s eyes stayed firmly on the ice beneath them.
“I’m fine, just tired.” Y/N replied quietly, not wanting to attract any of the other players attention. “Let’s run it again.” Nico furrowed his brows at her, but did what she requested and resumed position on the ice. This time Y/N paid attention to where the puck was and who had it.
Y/N nicked the puck from the scuffle of bodies, and made her way down to the goal, but was stopped by her body being thrown into the boards. A deep groan exited her mouth as she stuck out a knee and tried to stand, but her legs failed her. A whistle was blown, and Y/N could hear a few arguing voices. A hand was placed on her back, and Y/N need to look to know it was her captain.
“Y/N, what hurts?” Nico questioned as the other players crowded, except for John Marino who was scolding Brendan Smith a little aways. She could only point at her face. “Your head?”
“My head, my mouth, my neck, everything.” Y/N released in a tiny hiccup. Nico looked around confused and raised a hand to get the trainer over. Her teammates stared at her as she sat practically out of it against Nico’s shoulder.
“What’s going on?” The trainer asked and swuatted to her level to which she pointed at her head, once more. He released her helmet and it fell to the ice. His hands worked over the entirety of her head, and she finally hissed when his hand grazed the bottom of her skull. “Ah, that’s the spot.” Her vision blurred a little, and Nico quickly raised her up with the help of Timo Meier as they escorted her to the bench to be looked at further.
“It doesn’t hurt.” Y/N whispered to the trainer who kept prodding at the spot.
“Then why’d you hiss?”
“So, I could get off the ice and have everyone quit looking at me.” Y/N muttered faintly, and the trainer stopped his massage on her head. The trainer sat down in front of the girl, and took her hand.
“Alright. Talk to me.” He said, and Y/N laughed lightly. “Something is going on in your apparently non-bruised brain, so lay it on your temporary therapist.”
“I feel like a letdown.” Y/N stated, eyes cast down and a tiny pout on her lips. “I can’t focus then I get slammed and can’t get up, like what an embarrassment I am.” Y/N’s eyes filled with unshed tears, and hands found themselves wound together. “Everyone’s gonna call me a bust before I even start.”
“That isn’t true.” A voice called. Her head snapped to see Jack Hughes with a gentle smile on his face. “I was called a bust, and look at me. Would you call this a bust?” Y/N rolled her eyes before returning her gaze to the trainer, but he was gone. “Don’t let expectations ruin the experience.” Jack pushed off the side wall and continued practicing. Her left hand picked at her thumb until it bled and the same was done on the other thumb.
A cloth was placed on her bleeding thumbs by a familiar hand. “To be a successful team, you have to be honest with me and your teammates.”
Nico’s pressure on her thumbs didn’t lessen the pressure she felt in her head. “What if I don’t have what it takes to be here.” It wasn’t a question, more of a statement. Nico’s eyebrows crinkled, and he shook his head. He pried her eyes off her hands.
“You need to believe in yourself. That’s the first step. You have what it takes because you are here, and I’ve seen that you have it. You can’t expect to be 100% all the time, it isn’t possible.” Nico’s brown eyes bore into hers as she nodded at his words. “As your captain, I need to know that you’re okay to play and be here.”
“I’m here.” Her voice had s slight dip as she assured him. He nodded firmly and squeezed one last time on her injured thumbs before calling practice off. That signaled all the men on the ice to cackle and speed off to the locker room.
Y/N stayed perched on the bench, long after everyone had left the rink and just simply stared at the ice. Mind blank, just observing. Her stick tapped methodically against the plastic of the wall in front of her, and her skate-clad foot bounced off the floor. Y/N doesn’t know how long she sat there until someone dropped beside her on the bench. Jack copied her stony look and was overlooking the still arena.
“I used to do this my rookie year, too.” Jack commented, disrupting the silence. “I thought everyone hated me and thought I was a fuck up, a mistake draft pick. They thought since I was little, they could push me around and treat me like shit. So, I’d sit here after practice and debate quitting. Some of the guys would stop by and check in, but my mind was too clouded.”
“How’d you stop feeling that way?” Y/N’s voice shook as she mumbled that to him. Jack’s eye drifted to Y/N’s side profile, taking in her watery under-eyes and pouting mouth. She reminded him of himself, but also Quinn with her sullen expression.
A smile made its way onto his face, “I trusted in myself and my abilities. It sounds cheesy, but you have to separate yourself from the words being spoken about you, because most of the time it’s wrong anyway.” Jack stopped the stick from hitting the wall, and Y/N’s foot ceased its bouncing. She swiveled her face to meet his waiting stare. “Don’t beat yourself up, and talk to us. Also, most of us understand what you’re going through, especially Nico and I.”
“I wasn’t a first pick.”
“But you were second.” Jack grinned. “And that should tell you how much the team believes in you.”
“You weren’t apart of the selection process.”
“Yeah, but we were jumping up and down at our watch party.” Jack’s infectious laughter echoed across the arena. “Nico was beaming with excitement. So, talk to us and trust us.”
“Alright.” She finally relented, and stood up to go change.
“Do you need a ride home?”
“Sure, thank you.” Y/N said over her shoulder. She changed quickly, safely placing the practice jersey in its laundry basket, and her skates in her take home bag. All her pads stayed in her locker. “I’m ready if you are.” Jack nodded, and they walked out to his luxury car. “When’d you buy this?”
“My second year. Couldn’t be a stud without a nice ride.” Jack flaunted his hotshot attitude, and Y/N chuckled. “Luke’s already got a Range Rover, and he hasn’t started either.”
“He seems smart.” Y/N said, and Jack quirked a brow at her. “Like it wasn’t a crazy first purchase.”
“Yeah, I suppose. Oh, well looks like fans realized we didn’t leave. Are you fine with being stopped?” Jack cast her a concerned glance.
“Yeah, they’re probably there for you, not me.”
“You’re gonna find out just how many people like you soon enough, Y/N.” Jack said, then lowered his window to greet fans. “Y/N, they want a photo.” She smiled for the camera, and was handed a bracelet that had her last name and number on it.
“Thank you.” The fan brushed her off with a smile. Jack waved goodbye as he pulled out of the lot. “You need my address?”
“Yeah.” Jack spoke. They reached her apartment, and it was on the first floor and Jack walked her up to it. “Dawson and John also live here, Merc’s on the 4th and John’s on the 2nd.”
“That’s helpful and nice to know.” Y/N jammed her key into the door and unlocked it, opening to see her not decorated and basic flat. “No wonder they smiled strangely when I said I lived here.”
“They were probably gonna surprise you. Maybe scare you.” Jack admitted, and Y/N hummed distractedly as she put away her things in the closet. “You need an interior decorator. This is sad.”
“You know one?”
“Me.” Jack pursed his lips in thought as he scanned the kitchen and living room.
Y/N lifted her eyes to him with amusement, “Be my guest.” Jack’s smile was large and bright as he started looking up places for them to find decor and home items.

summary : Harry and Y/N were basically a couple, in Calfreezy’s eyes. And he was done with their mutual and secret pining.
——————————————————————————
Harry, Cal, and Y/N were roommates. They bonded forever basically after having to spend lockdown together. Harry and Y/N especially, but neither would admit it. Cal was living for the tension under their shared roof. Something else Cal lives for is that Y/N is the Sidemen’s photographer, and she’s on almost every video they do. She takes photos of them, mostly Harry. Cal’s caught her editing and staring at pictures of Harry. But right now, Cal is laughing obnoxiously since Harry is fuming about the guy that’s flirting with her, and texting him about how annoying it is. That guy is one of the people that’s supposed to be talking and taking Tana on a date.
to calfreezy
this lad won’t shut up
y/n is literally giving him a bored face
he won’t let her do her job
from calfreezy
allow it, allow it
what if she’s enjoying it
to calfreezy
fuck off man
Harry looked up from his phone and saw Y/N and the guy still chatting. He rolled his eyes, and Vik side eyed Harry from how obvious he was being.
“You alright, Bog?” Vik murmured, so it didn’t attract the ears of any of the louder members of the group. Harry glanced at Y/N again before turning to Vik.
“Y/N looks bored, right?” Harry countered instead. Vik stared at the scene before him.
“Sure, maybe a little.” Vik replied easily then swiveled to be in front of Harry. “So what, I’m sure she’d leave if she was too bored.”
“She has a job to do.” Harry grumbled.
“Tana is getting her makeup redone.” Vik pointed out smugly, and Harry flipped him off. “Bro, just let her talk to the guy.”
“Nah, nah, she’s practically melting over there.” Harry stood from his seat and walked over to the pair before Vik could advise or stop him. The other boys finally noticed a situation when Harry, in their eyes, stormed over to Y/N and mystery man.
“What’s he doing?” Josh slightly chuckled as he asked.
Vik tutted, “He thinks Y/N should be saved from the conversation she’s having.” The boys watched as Harry was left standing alone and Y/N led the guy to a quieter space. Harry whirled around with a sour look on his face. “What happened?”
“Stupid guy! He’s so ignorant, practically useless.” Harry blurted out with his voice thundering over them. “Man, he sounds like a right wanker.” The six sidemen silently looked upon as Harry paced in straight lines. “What does she even want with him anyway? That’s not her type.”
“You know her type?” Ethan smirked boyishly.
“Fuck off, yeah I do.” Harry retorted smartly and stopped his pacing when he heard yelling. Everyone did, and they knew that voice.
“Get away! I said stop! God, what is wrong with you?!”
“Hey, she said no, dude!” Tana also shouted.
Harry had never ran so fast in his life. He made it to the dressing/makeup room in seconds to find Tana’s bodyguard holding down the guy with Tana and Y/N clutching each other on the other side of the room. Harry sprinted to Y/N’s body.
“Are you alright?” Harry worriedly asked and checked her figure. “Did he hurt you?”
“I’m fine, don’t worry.” Y/N said that, but she latched onto Harry when he had made it to her a few seconds ago. “Just a prick.”
He wanted to say “I told you so” but he knew it for the best if he shut his mouth. “Get him outta here.” Harry demanded the bodyguard who nodded and yanked the guy out who was struggling and flopping about.
The rest of the boys had made it in by now and looked at Tana and Y/N for an answer to what they just saw.
“I said no, he didn’t like it, nothing more to it.” Y/N shortly announced, and Tana narrowed her eyes at Y/N but let it go. Harry as well did that, but for different reasons. He didn’t believe her, but he wasn’t going to out her in front of everyone. “We need to finish the video.” All the boys individually asked if she was fine before they returned to sitting and directing Tana. “Harry, you have to actually do your job, entertain people.”
“We’re talking later in the flat.” Harry decided and went to the hightop chair behind the couch. Y/N huffed and went to the all white set where Tana was currently being filmed. Harry watched her leave with a heavy heart.
to calfreezy
when we get home, don’t rile y/n up
the guy was ugly to her
gonna figure out what happened
from calfreezy
alright lad, will do
He put his phone in his pocket and focused on JJ telling Tana outrageous statements to say to her date. He laughed a couple times and provided jokes, but his mind was on Y/N solely. The video wrapped, and Harry found Y/N packing away her cameras.
“Ready?” Y/N smiled a little when she asked.
“Yeah.” He carried her camera bag for her and gently put it in his car. “Do you wanna tell me what actually happened?”
Y/N peered his way with a small frown, “There’s not much to tell, he was making moves that I didn’t like, so I said stop and he lashed out.”
“Did he hurt you?” Harry’s hands gripped the steering wheel. Y/N noted Harry’s veins popping from his arms.
“I don’t know if it’s smart to tell you while we’re in a moving vehicle.” Y/N replied. So that’s a yes.
“Gah, why didn’t you tell me?!” Harry nearly yelled. “I mean, that harassment and probably assault.”
“Harry, I’m fine. Let it go.” Y/N stubbornly commented. Their apartment complex came into view, and Y/N tumbled out of the car to get up to their flat before Harry could interrogate her more. Cal was leaning on the kitchen counter when Y/N zoomed through. “Hi, Cal, bye, Cal.”
“What the fuck?” Cal says as Harry, out of breath, steps into the kitchen.
“She’s shutting me out.” Harry disappointedly admitted, and stood next to Cal. Cal could only give him a pat on the back.
“Boggo, do you love her?”
“Well, yeah of course I do, she’s my best friend.”
Cal shot him a dissatisfied expression, “Come on now bud, we both know that’s not the only reason.” Harry scoffed and looked to his feet.
“Doesn’t matter, she doesn’t want me.”
“You don’t know that.” Cal deferred. “I personally think she’s into you.” Harry’s head shot up.
“Really?” Harry lit up. “Don’t play, man.”
“Nah, no really, I do.” Cal reassured.
“Ok, what do I do?” Harry put a finger to his lips and thought hard. Cal knew his face was full of disgust and disappointment.
“Go tell her how you fucking feel, you nut.” Cal dropped the bomb, and Harry shushed him. “Mate, tell her.”
Harry just left to go to Y/N’s room. He knocked and he heard a “come in” so he marched in and observed she was sitting on her bed, changed into one of his Sidemen hoodies and sweats, on her phone.
“If you’ve come to murder me with questions, you’ll be sent out.” Y/N warned him with a hand pointing at the door. He shook his head and sat on her bed. She put her knees to her chest and waited for Harry to speak.
“I am not so sure how to go about this, but here it goes.” Now Y/N was extremely confused. “I like you, Y/N. I have since lockdown basically, I mean you’re perfect in every way. How could I not like you? Oh this is so cringy.” Harry put his head in his hands. Y/N grinned at his confession and conformation since she felt the same.
“Harry?” Y/N slowly peeled his hands from his face and held them in her own. “Yes, it was cringy, but it’s alright since I like you, too.” Harry’s teeth were showing now, and his nose was scrunched cutely. “I’d like to try with you if you want that as well.”
“Yes, yes.” Harry immediately confirmed and squeezed her fingers. “Can I, can I kiss you?” Y/N sheepishly nodded, and Harry softly held the nape of her neck and her waist before landing his lips on hers. Harry was swooning, this was everything he wanted. Y/N’s lips left his as she caught her breath. Harry was hovering over her with his head tilted to look down at her. “Cal’s gonna freak.” Y/N beamed at him before bringing him in for another smooch.
“I need 20 pounds from Will and Chris.” Cal’s voice boomed across the flat.

summary : Y/N is the Sidemen’s assistant, and JJ had had a crush on her for the longest time and a party at his place just might shift their relationship.
——————————————————————————
Being on the set of Tinder in real life as the Sidemen’s assistant was quite tiring, yet hilarious to watch the boys act so immature. Y/N knows the feeling very well.
“Y/N!” Kon yelled after one of the girls left. “One of the girls for the video called in sick, she can’t make it. We need you to replace them.”
“What? No way.” Y/N shook her head. “They’re expecting hot and available girls, well besides Simon, Vik, Ethan, and Josh.”
“Come on, it’s only for around 10 minutes, and the guys already know you.” Kon pleaded and gave her puppy eyes. She groaned as she gave in, and Kon clipped a mic to her shirt. “Thank you, Y/N. It’s gonna be fine.”
“Whatever.” Y/N huffed and walked to the line of girls waiting to go in the room, but she was basically at the front since there were only 2 girls ahead of her.
“Where’s Y/N?” She heard her name said by Simon in between switching girls.
Kon nervously looked to Y/N on the other side of the wall then back at the tall man, “Uh, she’ll be back soon. Don’t worry.”
Y/N was next, and her hands wouldn’t stop shaking. She didn’t know why she was so anxious, she’s known these guys for a few years now, and they’re not actually flirting.
“Good luck!” The girl that just finished smiled at her as she walked out, and Y/N weakly waved bye to the beautiful woman. Kon urged her to go in, and Y/N legged up to the tinder cutout. All the boys gasped and chuckled as she stood in front if their eyes.
“Hi, I am Y/N, I’m 23, and I’m from Essex.”
“Oh, we know, baby.” Ethan laughed loudly, and she slightly raised an eyebrow before gesturing for them to start. “Okay, I’m Ethan, and I’m not really feeling myself today, can I feel you instead?”
All the boys guffawed at him and Y/N turned her head in embarrassment, “No.” Ethan went to the NO letter sign and gave her a sorry expression.
Josh stepped forward next and announced, “Could you feel my shirt?” Y/N hesitantly rubbed the fabric he held out to her. “It’s made of boyfriend material.” Y/N giggled softly before flicking her finger to the NO side. Josh shouted in protest before walking dejectedly next to Ethan.
“Hello, I am Simon. Could you do something for me, Y/N?”
“I already do a lot for you anyway.”
The remaining Sidemen ooh at her response, and Simon offers her an offended look, “Hey, I was gonna make it a nice one. But now I guess not.” Simon just walked to the NO side, and Y/N chucked quietly before locking eyes on JJ’s awaiting figure. Y/N suddenly became even more nervous and picked at the skin around her thumbs.
“Do you like black guys?” JJ asked with a massive smirk on his face. Tobi popped his head out from behind KSI and held a finger up, indicating he was intrigued to hear the answer.
“Some.” Y/N politely answered and presented a small smile to JJ. He lifted his eyebrows and came closer to the cutout. His hand came through to her, and she looked down at it confused. “What, Jide?”
“Let’s go find out if you like this one.” He grabbed her hand, and she tugged him so he jumped over the little ledge thing in the way. All the boys whooped and hollered as JJ and Y/N cackled in each other’s arms. “Is this a yes?”
“Yeah.” She nudged him to go over to the YES signs. “Okay, calm down, next.”
“I’m Tobi, and I hear you like black guys.” He tried, and Y/N pity smiled before nodding her head. “Let’s go!” Tobi and JJ hugged once Tobi made it to the YES side. “Thanks, Y/N.”
Vik stepped up and held his arms out, “On a scale of 1 to 10, you’re a 9 and I am the 1 you need.” Harry and Tobi cheered for him, but unfortunately Vik was swiped to the NO side.
Harry, last but not least, held his hand together in-front of him as he boisterously stated, “I am gonna call the cops,” he stops briefly to imitate calling the police with his hand then delivered his next line, “it has to be illegal to look that stunning.” His hands were out around him like jazz hands. Y/N pointed to the YES side, and Harry thanked her before running over to Tobi and JJ.
“All the single men over there.” Simon noticed and glanced at Y/N who shrugged.
“Didn’t wanna potentially upset anyone’s missus. Never know, never know.” Y/N reasoned.
“They’re literally your friends, they’d understand.” Ethan clapped his hands and laughed. “Although, don’t know about Freya, she’s a feisty one.”
Josh and Y/N shot him annoyed looks.
“Well, anyway, if you viewers didn’t realize or know, Y/N is our good friend and assistant so that’s why we’re continuing to talk to her.” Harry straight up says to the camera and wraps an arm around her. She smiled and waves then walks off to take the mic off. “Ok, that has been Tinder in Real Life, part whatever, thank you guys for watching and we’ll see you next Sunday. Byeeee.”
“Y/N, you’re a little minx.” JJ whistled and threw his muscular arm around her waist.
“Yeah, didn’t know you’d be in the video.” Simon mentioned loudly and gazed at Kon who held his hands up in defense. “Why’s that?”
“Girl called in sick, I was the last minute replacement.” Y/N shortly explained and removed JJ’s arm so she could gather her things.
“Are you coming over to mine tonight with the rest of us?” JJ questioned the girl.
She momentarily stared into his eyes before clearing her throat, “Do you want me to?”
“Yeah, I do. Do you want to come?” He countered her argumentative tone with his own. She narrowed her eyes at him.
“Sure, I’ll come.” JJ nodded at her words. Simon looked between the two like they were a tennis match. His best friend liked her, and he was too scared to do something about it. “What time?”
“7, or just whenever you can make it.” JJ sweetly phrased then stalked off to get his things to leave as well. Y/N saw on her watch that it was 5, and her and JJ lived on opposites sides of London.
“JJ, can I just come over now?” Y/N asked, and she strolled over to him. “My flat’s across London, and I don’t feel like making that drive.”
“Yeah, sure.” JJ wiped his sweaty hands on his pants before leading them out to his car. The car ride was silent to his flat, and when they arrived, they didn’t speak either. She plopped down on his large sectional and closed her eyes. She felt the weight dip beside her, but she was too exhausted to open her eyes. Y/N felt a hand slide the piece of hair that was over her nose to behind her ear. “You can sleep, if you want.”
“Just wake me when people get here.” Y/N rolled onto her side and kicked her shoes off to put her feet on the couch. JJ decided to tug her upper half and put it on him as a pillow to which Y/N hummed and hugged his midsection to be more comfortable. JJ could honestly say that this is heaven. As time flew by, a knock resounded across JJ’s flat, and he carefully and unwillingly placed Y/N’s head and arms on the couch.
“Am I first?” Ethan barreled in. When he caught sight of the sleeping woman on JJ’s sectional, he bolted back to JJ. “There’s a girl on your sofa.”
JJ laughed at Ethan’s whispering, “It’s Y/N, fam.”
“Oh, then Y/N WAKE UP.” He shook her relentlessly until Y/N smacked Ethan for him to stop. He giggled like a little girl.
“You prick.” Y/N grumbled mostly into the sofa cushion beneath her. JJ couldn’t help but feel annoyed with Ethan now, too. Something about Y/N making him want her approval over anyone else’s. “You shouldn’t have let him in.”
JJ snickered before rubbing her back, “The others will be here soon, and we won’t have to deal with him anymore.”
“OI, I am still here!” Ethan commented noisily.
Before JJ or Y/N could retort, a knock came from the door. “I got it.” JJ went to get it and in came Talia, Simon, Vik, and Tobi. “No Ellie?”
“She had a headache, didn’t wanna be a grump the whole night.” Vik explained.
“Y/N, my favorite assistant!” Simon cheered and squeezed her tightly. JJ felt jealous, and he knew he shouldn’t.
“I’m your only assistant, you twat.” Y/N replied, snarky and straight to the point. But Y/N’s face gained a smile when Talia came and sat next to her. “Talia, my love.”
“Y/N, I have missed you. Too bad you’re running around with these lot.” Talia insulted her fiancé and his friends. Simon gave her a frown.
“Harry, Lux, and Cal said they’d be late, they’re getting the drinks.” Vik informed everyone, and went back to chatting with Ethan and Tobi.
“Who else is coming, besides Josh and Freya?”
JJ answered Y/N, “Chris, Randy, Will, and maybe a few other people.” She nodded and laid against the back of the sofa. JJ convinced himself to sit beside her and if anyone comes, let the others answer the door. “Are you gonna be drinking tonight?”
“Jide, please. Of course I am.” Y/N grinned his way and leaned into his side. JJ tensed for a second before relaxing and enjoying her body close to his. “I wish Harry would hurry up, though.”
“He’ll be here soon.” JJ murmured. Simon and Talia shared a glance before tuning into Vik’s rambling on how football really isn’t his sport. Y/N as time passed was more on JJ than the couch, and his hand was on her thigh, wrapped around her middle. Harry had arrived with Lux and Cal and all three were towing booze. A couple of drinks in JJ’s system made him more comfortable and Y/N was practically on him by now. “You’re so pretty.”
Y/N scrunched her face and gripped his neck, “No, you are.” The two were too caught up in each other to notice everyone else watching them from the corners of their vision. “So handsome.” Her mouth reached up to peck his exposed collarbone, and JJ shuddered from her airy kiss. “JJ, you’re so fine.”
“I need you.” JJ blurts out into her ear, and she smirks before kissing his neck.
“Beer Pong!” Simon bellowed causing JJ and Y/N to separate and get up to go play. “Talia and Y/N against me and JJ?”
“Nah, fam, couple against couple.” JJ gripped Y/N tightly to him as she laughed quite tipsy. Talia and Simon again exchanged looks, but nodded to KSI before setting up the game. “We got this.”
“Yes, yes.” Y/N chanted back, and her and JJ fist bump. Talia put the last bit of drink in a cup and decided her and Simon would go first. She missed the cup she was aiming for, but Simon didn’t. “I got first drink.” Y/N downed it, and JJ stood amazed at her. “Ok, our turn.”
JJ shot and made it into the cup, and Y/N did, too. “Drink up, ladies!” The two got to shoot again, and JJ sinked it in. Y/N’s ball went off to no man’s land so it was Talia and Simon’s turn.
The game continued until Talia and Simon met their final defeat when Y/N’s ball went into the last cup. “Let’s go!” Y/N and JJ embraced and cackled as they had won. “You look so good right now.”
“Yeah?” KSI cockily replied and pulled Y/N to the hallway where it was quiet. Y/N hummed and pushed her lips against his jawline. “Y/N, do you want this?”
“Yes, now stop talking.” Y/N demanded and smashed their lips together. JJ’s body hit the wall behind him and his hands held her waist. Y/N moved her kisses down his neck and over his collarbones which made him grunt softly. She left hickeys in her wake and didn’t stop until JJ interlocked their lips again. A moan escaped Y/N’s mouth when JJ’s hand traveled to her butt and gripped it. “J.”
“My turn.” JJ whispered and trailed his lips to behind her ear where he sucked. Y/N breathlessly whined and tangled them closer. He maneuvered down to the base of her neck where he placed a nice purple hickey.
“JJ.” He loved when she said his name. JJ peered up at her as he lifted her shirt to peck her chest and stomach. “Let’s go to your room.”
JJ hurriedly dragged them both to his room and slammed the door closed. He was pushed onto the bed, and Y/N straddled him. JJ’s fingers clasped onto her hips and molded into them as they continued their hot and heavy make out. At some point, Y/N was switched to be on her back with JJ dangling over her, his chain swinging in her vision.
“Too beautiful.” JJ groaned into her neck. Y/N hauled his mouth back to hers. Their lips sunk in to each other, and they slowly detached. “Do you want to or no?”
Y/N smiled, “If you do.”
“I do, I do, but I want to know if you’re sure.” His eyes searched hers. She simply nodded and brought him in for a kiss. Y/N slipped her shirt off and pulled at his, encouraging JJ to do the same. He did, and Y/N traced his abs and chest muscles. His breathing stuttered, and she smirked. “Y/N.”
His light scolding made her gently laugh. “What?”
“You know what.” JJ put his hand on her left boob and squeezed and she moaned. “See.”
Y/N enjoyed his teasing and returned the favor by palming his hard-on through his sweatpants. JJ clenched his eyes shut, and Y/N knew what she was doing. “Are you gonna love me now?”
JJ’s lust overtook him, and he basically tore off Y/N’s jeans and threw them somewhere on the ground. His pants were off seconds after hers. The two gazed at one another as they existed almost naked. JJ looked up once more for confirmation which Y/N smiled and nodded. He instantly pushed her underwear aside.
—————————
JJ woke up with a body clinging to him. He was about to freak out when all his memories came flooding back from the previous night. Y/N was perfectly curled into his chest and their legs were intertwined. Her breaths were hitting his skin delicately. Her hair was a mess but he still thought she was the most perfect being to have lived.
There was commotion outside the door, and a minute later, Talia bursted in. Good thing JJ and Y/N were both covered. “What the fuck?”
“Shhh.” JJ hushed his best friend’s girlfriend. But that didn’t help since Y/N jerked awake and groaned at the sunlight hitting her pupils. “Baby, Talia’s in here.”
“Loud ass.” Y/N snarked, and Talia snickered. “Yes, yes, we had sex, everyone calm down.”
Talia’s jaw dropped, “Oh my God, Simon is gonna love this.” She ran out and screamed for Simon.
“So, what does this make us?” JJ nervously questioned while wiping the hair from Y/N’s face. She hugged him tighter and pressed a kiss on his cheek.
“I’d love to be your girlfriend if you’re down to be my boyfriend.” Y/N slyly said and held his cheek in her hand, caressing his cheekbone with her thumb. JJ’s expression transformed into the widest grin Y/N has ever seen.
“Yeah, I’m down.” JJ responded.

kaz brekker x crows!female!reader
summary : Kaz and Y/N are in love and neither can admit it until Y/N is hurt.
——————————————————————————
“Why am I literally always the arm candy?” Y/N complained quietly to Jesper as she held his arm and smiled at passing by merchants. He looked down at her for a second then pulled her closer.
“Because you distract people with your beauty, love.” Jesper winked and grabbed her a champagne glass. She inhaled the liquid in one go. “And I think Kaz likes seeing you all dressed up.”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Jes.” Y/N murmured to the sharpshooter, and Jesper frowned. “He is in love with Inej, and I don’t blame him if he is.”
“You are so blind.” A familiar snarky voice stated behind the pair. Nina popped up next to them in a similar, revealing dress like Y/N, but her partner was Matthias. “He only has heart palpitations for you, my dear.”
“I only have heart palpitations for Inej.” Y/N claimed and shared an amused glance with Matthias over Nina’s extravagant curls. Nina huffed and kept moving along the dance floor with Matthias trailing like a lost puppy. “So, when do we leave?”
“When a shot is fired at the ceiling.” Jesper whispered and whipped out his gun to snipe the chandelier. Perfect hit. People began screaming as the glass decoration began falling towards the floor. Y/N and Jesper made their escape to a different part of the merchant’s house that held the jewels Kaz instructed them to carefully steal and replace with fakes. A guard rounded the corner, and Y/N impaled his chest with a dagger. Y/N quickly unlocked the door to the merchant’s office and dug around his stuff while Jesper kept watch at the door. “I see Nina and Matthias.”
Y/N merely hummed and placed a hand on a book that was too hollow for her liking. She opened it to find one of the jewels they needed. It went into her pocket, and the search resumed. A safe was in the corned of the vast space, and Y/N gravitated to it with her lock picking device. The safe breathed as it was released from the clutch of the lock, and Y/N started piling the jewels into her bust and boots.
“Matthias. The fakes, please.” Y/N called to him, and he stopped his staring at Nina to do as asked. Y/N stashed the fake jewels where they belonged in the safe and closed it swiftly then put the one jewel back in the hollow book. “Let’s go, ladies.” Jesper laughed maniacally before hurrying Y/N and Nina out with Matthias eying around to see any more guards.
Matthias was too slow to warn Y/N as he peered at a suspicious smoke coming out of a door before an explosion shook the place and blasted the four crows haphazardly across the hallway and into expensive glass and stone art pieces. Y/N got most of the hit, and Matthias quickly came to and scoured the haze for the girl. He found her with burn marks on her face and arms and a large knife in her side. “Nina!”
Jesper and Nina came running to where they heard Matthias shout, and Nina checked Y/N’s pulse, worried. Jesper looked at his watch and distantly heard marching footsteps. “We gotta go, or this will become worse.” Matthias cradled Y/N into his arms and stood with Nina and Jesper clearing the way to the exit. Her dress was torn up, and Matthias could see where she hid all the gems which was making him slightly uncomfortable, but he pushed through that to get Y/N to the Slat. The race there was excruciating since Matthias was concerned if Y/N was losing too much blood.
Inej was startled when the Slat door crashed open, and a basically wailing Nina came in and shoved all things off a long table. Inej caught sight of a limp figure in Matthias’s hold and her breath got lodged in her throat. “Kaz! Inej yelled.
“Set her down! Get me antiseptics and bandages.” Nina ordered Matthias and Jesper who both complied immediately to the heartrender. Inej ripped what was left of Y/N’s gown and jewels pooled out of the ripped material. Inej ignored that and briefly apologized to her dear friend before stripping the girl to only her undergarments so Nina could work effectively. Jesper and Matthias returned with Nina’s requested materials.
Nina poured the alcohol into the burns, and Y/N’s comatose state was dissolved, and her body jolted. Y/N began groaning and shaking. Inej’s eyes teared as she held her down. Matthias wrapped the burns after Nina cleaned them and did her best to patch them. Jesper focused on drinking the whiskey he stole from Kaz’s cabinet. Kaz had yet to come down because he didn’t want to see the girl he loved in such agony. Y/N’s voice became raspy from the screaming she was now doing.
A sharp pain erupted in her side as Nina pulled out the knife. “Please.” Is the word that fell from Y/N’s mouth. “No.” A weak hand grazed Inej’s forearm, and Inej gripped it in comfort. Nina ended her needed torture on the girl then wrapped up her last wound. “Nina.”
“Yes, yes?” Nina leant over her friend.
“I-“ Y/N cleared her throat with difficulty. “Bed.”
“Of course, yes your bed.” Matthias immediately swooped Y/N up carefully and trekked up the winding stairs of the Slat to Y/N’s room. She was placed on her bed, and Nina sat in the room to make sure all was well throughout the night.
Kaz gathered the courage to enter Y/N’s room and found a sleeping Nina and Y/N, one’s breathing more shallow than the other. He sat on the edge of the bed and gazed at Y/N’s face. So captivating. Inspiring. If he were an artist, he would never stop painting her til his last breath and finger shutter. If he were a writer, she would be the topic of every poem, book, journal entry. Anything and everything would be about her. But he wasn’t an artist, nor a writer. He was a bastard who didn’t deserve any sliver of attention this woman provided. She deserved to be painted and written about, not someone who couldn’t even love or treat her properly. His thoughts consumed like the flame of the wick on the candle next to Nina’s chair. He was sure Y/N was something he could never obtain. She was untouchable and pure, nothing a bastard earned.
Y/N jostled in her sleep, and Kaz froze in his spot with his cane held right. Her head lifted and she focused on Nina before looking to Kaz. He silently glared into her and wished for the blush to run away from his cheeks for being caught.
“Kaz?” Y/N croaked. “Is something-wrong?” There was a pause between her words because of the lack of hydration. Kaz shook his head and got up to leave but her voice travelled to his ears and even further in his stone heart, “Can you stay?” Kaz contemplated and sat back down. “I got-all the jew-jewels.”
“I saw.” Kaz said, and Y/N’s head found its way back to the pillow. “Thank you.” Y/N didn’t expect that, but nodded and smiled at Dirtyhands.
“Mmhm.” Y/N exhaled. Kaz mentally battled himself, and Y/N could see the warfare in his eyes as he held out his hand to her. Gloved fingers met shaky, insecure ones. Kaz thought he would feel cold and lumpy, dead fingers but they were warm and soft, nothing like the floating bodies. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah.” He mumbled. His hand gripped hers tightly. “I-“ Y/N awaited what the ever so secretive man would say. “I do not like Inej.”
“Ok? That’s rude, Kaz.” Y/N mockingly voiced. “She does a lot for you.”
Kaz rolled his eyes at her remark, and his mouth formed a slight smile. “No, I am not in love with her.” Y/N tightened her fingers around his. “I want you, Y/N. I need you. You are what I yearn for.” Kaz fought against all his doubts and demons as he confessed his love for the mesmerizing woman in front of him. “I cannot imagine a day without you by my side.” Y/N softly stroked his hand.
“I feel the same.” Y/N admitted, and Kaz’s body became less tension filled. Her voice brought him back to her and the moment.
“So, you will have me?” Kaz said. Ans this wasn’t Brekker, Bastard of the Barrel, or Dirtyhands. This was Kaz Reitvald who justed wanted to be loved by someone who loved him back.
Y/N brightly smiled, and Kaz’s eyes burned brighter with her, “Yes.”
The next morning, Nina’s happy screams woke up the whole of Ketterdam.

neteyam sully x tsu’tey!daughter!reader
summary : Neteyam doesn’t know if Y/N feels the same.
——————————————————————————
Neteyam and Y/N sat side by side on the hard and cold rock with thighs touching and arms brushing each other’s. Y/N was silent, as usual, as she sharpened her knife that was gifted to her by Mo’at, the Tsahik and Neteyam’s grandmother.
Neteyam gazed at her as she did her own thing and admired the fall of her hair on her shoulder and the fierceness in her face that was never gone. Neteyam has had a crush on her since they were babies basically. The two had been inseparable before and even after Tsu’tey, her adoptive father, died, and Y/N became almost mute, only speaking when needed. Y/N was a stony and lonely warrior, taking after her late father. Neteyam held a special place in her heart since he understood why she wouldn’t talk and especially didn’t force her to.
The duo were also enemies when it came to learning anything, from taming an Ikran to peeling a fruit. Always trying to playfully one up each other for entertainment purposes. If Neteyam was truthful, Y/N won at almost everything the two competed in. Her skill unmatched by any warrior.
Neteyam didn’t know of her feelings, and he knew he certainly would never tell her of his, despite them already acting like a mated couple. So, all Neteyam did was study and watch Y/N as she did everything with flawless precision and a sneering face. From afar, that’s where he stands with her. Abruptly, the two witness Jake come out of his family’s tent and search for someone. His eyes find the two teenagers, and he points to in front of him.
“Y/N! Fall in!” Jake shouted to the young warrior in the mountain cavern. “Neteyam!” The two friendly rivals quickly stood in the Olo’eyktan’s sight with their hands behind their back and heads high. “You two, I need you to scout some Avatars Lo’ak saw about two miles east from here. Watch them, give me intel, but do not attack. Do not.”
“Yes, sir.” Neteyam replied and hoisted his bow onto his Ikran with Y/N doing a similar thing on her own Ikran.
“I trust you two to not be reckless.” Jake frowned, and before Neteyam flew off, Jake pulled Neteyam in for a brief hug. “Be safe, please. Keep an eye on her.”
“I will.” Neteyam promised his father, and his Ikran caught up to Y/N in a minute’s time. Jake stared as his son and the girl he told his dying friend, Tsu’tey, he would keep safe and look after as they became specks in the sky.
“Be quiet.” Y/N mouthed to Neteyam as he accidentally stepped on a branch that crunched too hard for Y/N’s liking. Neteyam nodded and put a hand to Y/N’s lower back as she peered at the 3 Avatars plucking at leaves and laughing. Y/N met Neteyam’s confused stare and shrugged slightly. Unfortunately, one of the Avatars became suspicious of the sound Neteyam’s foot made a few moments before and whipped his head to look for the source.
“It’s probably an animal.” The only girl Avatar spoke and nudged the man with her gun. And the man believed her until he glanced to the tree Y/N and Neteyam sat behind and noticed a blue foot poking out the foliage. Y/N could feel the shift in the atmosphere and sucked in a large breath. She took hold of Neteyam and softly shoved him towards the Ikrans. He got her intention and snuck to their Ikrans as quiet as we could. Y/N followed closely while keeping a watchful eye on the Avatar getting near the tree they had been hiding at.
“Stop worrying, bro.” The other Avatar said and in a moment the Avatar that had suspected something Na’vi was around spotted a dull blue band on a foot escaping the area.
“There!” He yelled and ran to catch the supposed Na’vi to take back to Home Base. Y/N simply picked up speed and attached her queue to her Ikran’s before taking off and readying hee bow, arrow notched tight in the string.
“No, do not attack.” Neteyam huffed out to Y/N, but she didn’t ease the tension of the bow. Only held it in her grip. “We should go.” They didn’t get the chance, the man broke through the clearing and began shooting at her and Neteyam. “Fly!”
Y/N snarled and instructed her Ikran to fly away from the scene hurriedly. Shots rang fast and many were near her head. She heard Neteyam let out a loud grunt, and she whirled to see him being targeted by the other Avatars. Y/N didn’t care for Jake’s orders anymore, this was Neteyam’s life on the line. Her first arrow barreled into the female Avatar, and she dropped dead.
“Bitch!” The man roared and reloaded his gun, but he wasn’t fast enough, Y/N had already marked him for death, an arrow to his chest. The last Avatar redeemed his friends by shooting at Y/N’s Ikran, and the Ikran was hit in the wing causing it to spiral with Y/N remaining calm. Neteyam on the other hand was losing his mind. Her Ikran hit the forest floor with a thud, and Y/N was knocked off, and the Avatar banged his gun to her head, making her fall unconscious. Neteyam landed his Ikran somewhere the last Avatar wouldn’t see and loaded his bow. The man tied Y/N’s hands and legs together. “A pretty thing, huh?”
Neteyam became disgusted and crept around the clearing, trying to find a good spot to shoot this demon. Y/N’s Ikran made calls and groans as it realized its rider was in pain as was itself. Neteyam didn’t see before because he was in the sky, but a bullet was lodged in Y/N’s foot. Probably from her descent.
“Come out, savage!” The Avatar was scared of the other one popping out. Neteyam cursed as he gathered the courage to expose himself to the Avatar. With a war cry, he jumped in the air and shot the Avatar through the heart with his blue and green arrow. The man crumpled, and Neteyam sprinted to Y/N’s fallen body.
“Y/N? Can you hear me?” Neteyam placed his hand on her face. “Y/N.” Her yellow eyes snapped open, and she immediately became feral, thrashing to get of the unknown person’s grip. “Y/N, it’s Neteyam.” She halted her movements and in relief, shut her eyes tight. “Hey, it’s ok. You’re alright.” Y/N began shaking her head as Neteyam cut her restraints. “What is wrong?” He knew about the bullet.
“Help me up.” Y/N muttered faintly. Neteyam hauled Y/N to her one foot and kept an arm around her waist. “Call Jake.”
Neteyam complied and tapped his comm button, “Devil Dog, come in.”
“Yes. Here, what is it? Over.” Jake’s voice imputed into Neteyam’s ear. Y/N gripped Neteyam harder as her foot throbbed painfully.
“Y/N and her Ikran were hit. I need back up, over.” Neteyam noted Y/N’s consistently falling head, most likely from blood loss. “Hey, stay with me, Y/N.”
“We’re on our way. Over.” Jake said, and Neteyam turned off his device to pay all his attention to Y/N.
“They’re coming.” Neteyam sweetly told the girl who was almost limp in his arms. Y/N looked at him with a strange expression he couldn’t explain.
“You are such a baby.” Y/N lightly teased after she recalled Neteyam shrieking once the Avatars shot at him. Neteyam pulled an offended face.
“I was following orders, skxawng.” He pinched her side, and she barely smirked at him.
“What a good little soldier.” Y/N sneered comically, and Neteyam scoffed and held her tighter. Usually Neteyam would hate someone calling him that, but from her, it was acceptable. “You are suffocating me.”
“Good.” Neteyam hummed, and Y/N humorously and delicately bit his shoulder. “You are a tiny demon.”
Y/N kissed it right after and Neteyam felt butterflies at the sensation of her lips on his skin. “Really?” She peered up at him through her eyelashes, and Neteyam blushed at her unmoving stare.
“Yes.” He stuttered out. This stoic warrior is making him flustered so easily. Suddenly, an Ikran swooped down to the two of them, and Neteyam found it was his Father with his mother on the ground a second later. Jake glanced at the dead bodies and grimaced. “Sorry, sir. We broke protocol.”
Jake shook his head and arrived at Y/N’s side and propped up her feet on his knee. “What happened?” Neytiri handed Jake the antiseptic and bandage then walked to Y/N’s Ikran to patch it up as well.
“They started shooting at us.” Neteyam explained, and he observed Y/N digging her nails into her palm as Jake poured alcohol in her wound. “Y/N killed two of them before the last one shot her Ikran.” Neteyam brushed Y/N’s back in comfort as his father wrapped Y/N’s foot.
“Are you hurt?” Neytiri bellowed to her son.
“No, mother.” Neteyam called back.
Y/N’s breath hitched as Jake tied the bandage off and it tugged at the sensitive skin. “Let’s get you home.” Jake patted Y/N’s head warmly, and Neteyam led her to his Ikran. Neteyam mounted the Ikran before Jake helped Y/N onto the beast, in front of Neteyam. Neytiri and Jake were going to lead Y/N’s Ikran back. “See you at Camp.”
Y/N’s body weight was on Neteyam’s chest, but he didn’t mind. He loved when she let her guard down and showed minimal affection. One of his arms was holding her to him and the other was holding the saddle/reigns of his Ikran.
“How are you feeling?” Neteyam asked the girl who curled up into his arms to fall asleep after they visited Mo’at to check her wound, and has now awoken. Y/N just snuggled her face into his neck. “Y/N, come on.”
“I am fine, Neteyam.”
“Thank you.” Neteyam sighed, and Y/N sat up abruptly to hang over him. “Hm?”
Y/N didn’t respond to his suggestive hum, and took his face into her hands. Neteyam’s heart stopped, and he didn’t breathe. What was she doing? Y/N proceeded to straddle his torso and rest her legs on either side of his hips. A finger traced his jawline, and he didn’t dare move.
“Why does your heart beat so fast?”
“I am, uh, embarrassed.” Neteyam questioningly offered. Y/N’s fangs popped out as she beamed and ran her hands to settle on his chest.
“Why? Huh?” Y/N tilted her head, and Neteyam thought she was too pretty.
“Because you’re gorgeous.” He admitted gently, and she flickered her gaze to his agape lips before leaning down and kissing his cheek. Then his other one. Neteyam groaned in anticipation, “Just kiss me.”
“Is the great Neteyam begging?” Y/N tutted against his cheek, and Neteyam could feel her words fan over his face. Her lips hovered over his before she crashed them down into his. Neteyam’s hands were instantly on her waist and squeezing as she worked their mouths in sync. Y/N slipped her hands up to his neck.
A clear of the throat caused the two to separate lips and look like deer in headlights as Jake stood at the entrance with an awkward look.
“So, how long?” Jake pointed at them.
“Just now.” Neteyam assured quickly, and Y/N stayed in her place on top of him, not at all ashamed.
“Your father is glaring at me, I can tell.” Jake huffed, and Y/N gave him a tiny smile and cocooned back into Neteyam. “Don’t make any babies.” Jake whistled before legging out.
“Dad!” Neteyam shouted as Y/N silently chuckled and peppered his chest with kisses.

sully family x fem!daughter/sister!navi!reader
summary : Y/N felt off to her family, and her parents were going to get to the bottom of it.
——————————————————————————
“Watch out!” Lo’ak roared to his older sister, Y/N, who was inches away from hitting one of the floating mountains as the two were avoiding sky people bullets. She swerved quickly and raced to be behind Lo’ak once more, being a lookout for them.
“Y/N, Lo’ak, do you copy?” Jake breathlessly transmitted to his children as he scanned the air space for his two most reckless kids. Neytiri flew beside him shooting deathly arrows at sky people’s chests. “Y/N!”
“I am here, we are here.” Y/N logged on, but couldn’t say more as more guns were aimed at her and Lo’ak. Y/N, under her breath, groaned and yielded her bow to shoot at the opposing forces. A battle cry escaped her lips as her arrow planted itself in a soldier’s face. And another. Another. Another. Until no more pellets could be heard fired at Y/N and Lo’ak. Y/N breathed heavily and called for her Ikran to go faster. Her bones were already dully aching again.
“Head to base, our work is done here.” Jake spoke over the comms. Lo’ak and Y/N shared a glance before swooping to fly toward High Camp. Neteyam caught up to them as they landed inside the alcove. Jake and Neytiri checked their three children for any marks and found only small ones.
“My child, I saw you. You were brilliant.” Neytiri praised her daughter who flushed from the compliment. Y/N couldn’t believe it herself since she felt so numb recently.
“I mean they were shooting at us.” Y/N justified and shrugged off her mother’s words. “I am going to spend time with grandmother.”
The four warriors of the Sully family were left standing, not knowing exactly what happened. Neteyam shot Lo’ak a look, and Lo’ak only raised a brow inquisitively. Jake studied his two sons.
“Did someone touch her?” Jake asked Lo’ak. “Like lay a hand on her, got too close.”
“No, we were in the sky.” Lo’ak explained, and Jake stared at the healer tent Y/N ventured into. “Maybe she’s just off, I am sure she’ll be better by tonight.”
Neytiri nodded at her youngest son, “Yes, Ma Jake, it will all be well.” Neytiri kissed his shoulder before walking into the healer tent, too.
——
Y/N felt heavy, like a boulder stuck in between two mountains, waiting to drop and crack everywhere. Not only was there guilt building up inside of her, but her body felt immobile sometimes, like her legs were stone. She couldn’t tell her family because they wouldn’t know how to help her. So, she kept quiet and hoped it would pass.
“Why don’t you come hunt with me?” Neteyam inquired to his sister. Y/N’s body was having a particularly difficult day, and she could barely shift to look at him without wanting to grunt in pain. Neteyam noted the grimace on Y/N’s face and became concerned. “What is wrong?”
“Nothing, Nete, I am fine.” Y/N stiffly stood and walked out of the tent in search of her Ikran, so she could fly away. Neteyam, like before, was left to decipher what just happened. He saw her struggle with getting up and leaving, and Neteyam knew he had to tell someone.
Neteyam spotted his mother by Kiri in the healer’s tent and decided to go to her. Neytiri waited with open arms for her son as he walked straight into them. “I fear there is something wrong with Y/N.”
Neytiri glimpsed down at Neteyam, and a frown overcomes her face, “What do you mean, my child?” She pushed his braids behind his ears.
“She seemed in pain when she was standing up and walking away.” Neteyam told her. Neytiri sighed and looked to Kiri who merely made an awkward smile and lifted her arms in a shruggish manner. “I think you or Dad should talk to her.”
“Yes, thank you.” Neytiri’s kissed her son’s cheek before leaving to find her mate. Jake was leading a small group of hunters through a training course right outside the camp, but he stopped once he saw Neytiri’s urgent expression. He legged over to her and took her face into his hands gently.
“What is it?” Jake said, a little words about what his mate might say.
“Neteyam says Y/N is in pain.” Neytiri answered in a hushed tone. “Struggling physically.”
Jake looked bewildered at this news and shot Neytiri a confused glance. “Where is she?”
“I don’t know.” Neytiri admitted before the both of them were sprinting to their Ikran and mounting the beasts. The two investigated the whole of the floating mountains with no luck in finding their eldest daughter. The next place they looked was the Tree of Souls, and Neytiri could hear a voice from below and knew that was Y/N.
The parents creeped up, trying not to spook their daughter or any other creature nearby. Neytiri and Jake could now hear what Y/N was exactly saying, or praying actually.
“Please, Eywa, I am tired. Show me something, anything to help me. I am so, so tired.” A sob ripped from Y/N’s throat at the end of her prayer. Y/N curled into a ball at the base of the tree and tried find the comfort of Eywa in the roots. Her cries upset Jake and Neytiri deeply because they wanted to help her. “Eywa, please.”
“My daughter, tell me what is wrong.” Neytiri finally whispered and approached Y/N silently. Y/N raised her gaze to her mother, and more tears fell from her yellow eyes. “Oh, my baby.” Neytiri coddled Y/N in her arms, despite Y/N wailing from the discomfort it brought upon her bones. “Y/N, Y/N, please, tell me.”
“I am hurting.” Y/N stuttered out through her cries. Jake sat down on the root next to his mate and daughter. “I feel heavy.”
“What’s hurting?” Jake placed a hand on Y/N’s neck. Y/N fell into her Dad’s embrace with Neytiri still latched on. “Come on, baby.”
“Everything, all the time.” Her ears were flat against her head when she whimpered that to her father. “I ache.”
“My baby.” Jake breathlessly huffed, and Y/N was folded into his side completely after that. “We can help you, Norm can examine you.”
“No, no, no, no, that is only part of it. I am sick, my mind, it won’t go away.” Y/N angrily wailed, and Neytiri shushed her with a gentle rub of the arm. “The voices are just there, they won’t go away. Make them go away!” Neytiri couldn’t watch as her daughter broke down in front of her so vulnerably, yet so brave. “Dad, I want my mind gone.”
“Hey, we can help you with that, too.” Jake mumbled and softly elevated Y/N’s head out of his chest, so they could be eye to eye. “We will help you. You are not alone. Not anymore.”
“Ok.” Was Y/N’s broken response. Y/N fell asleep after awhile of her parents lulling her into a peaceful state. Jake carried to his Ikran and rode home with her nestled into his body. Once home, their other children were up and concerned for their sister. Everyone peered as Y/N and her father laid on the mat, and Neytiri sidling up beside her mate to provide extra support.
The other kids joined the three and dispersed themselves among the dog pile, making sure not to wake the sleeping Y/N. Jake stroked Y/N’s hair and knew she was different, and that he would help his daughter any way he could. Always.

neteyam sully x fem!navi!reader
summary : Jake and Y/N go behind Neteyam’s back.
——————————————————————————
“You’re making my brain hurt, Lo’ak!” Y/N sneered then scooted away from him to be closer to Kiri. He was attempting braiding her hair and failing terribly which caused him to pull at her head too hard for her liking. Lo’ak huffed and stuck his tongue out at her then stormed off to find Spider. “What a grump.”
Kiri nodded and softly plated Y/N’s hair with nimble fingers, “He is a pain.” Kiri’s parents and her brother, Neteyam, were leading the mountain rounds for the night and left Y/N in charge, despite her not being Jake or Neytir’s child, but Neteyam’s mate. “They will be back soon.”
“Good thing I put Tuk to bed a while ago.” Y/N mumbled, fiddling with the bracelets on her wrists and ankles. All of the them given to her by Tuk or Neteyam. “I should probably go get Lo’ak before they return.”
Kiri sighed, a little mad her parents put Y/N on kid duty and made it her responsibility for a family that wasn’t even hers, not until her and Neteyam officially became one. “Quick.”
Y/N shot up and trekked through High Camp, calling for Lo’ak. There was no response, so Y/N eventually ended up outside the camp on a branch bridge. She cursed in Na’vi after she couldn’t find him. Going farther down from the camp, she detected rustling and laughing in a nearby cave. She yelled again for him, and he came running out of the hiding place with Spider and two Omatikaya girls.
“Don’t tell my father.” Lo’ak pleaded after he saw Y/N’s surprised yet mischievous face. “He’ll skin me alive.”
“Oh, wouldn’t that be so awful?” She teasingly pouted at him then snapped her fingers and pointed to the spot next to her. Lo’ak grumbled as he retreated to her side. “Spider, take them home.” He forcefully nodded and led the girls back. “Why are you so stupid?”
“What?” Lo’ak questioned and kept pace with Y/N as she climbed up some rocks.
“Your parents would have murdered me if I didn’t find you. Why were you out there anyway?” Y/N unexpectedly put a hand on his mouth before he could talk. “I don’t actually care. That was rhetorical. But don’t do that again.”
They reached High Camp, and Y/N saw Jake sitting by the entrance, assumed to be waiting for her and Lo’ak. She dragged a hand down her face then smacked Lo’ak loudly. He whined and ran away from her and to his dad who cackled at Y/N’s action.
“I see you had a problem.” Jake eyed his youngest son who was standing to the left of him. Y/N scratched the hair at the bottom of her scalp then shrugged lightly.
“I mean, nothing I can’t handle.” Y/N boasted playfully, and Lo’ak shoved her to the side. “You little-“
“Language!” Jake quipped before Y/N spoke a nasty word. She zipped her lips and flipped Lo’ak off instead. “Lo’ak, go help Neteyam with the Ikran, I have to speak to Y/N.”
Y/N widened her eyes, “Am I in trouble? Please say no!” Jake shook his head and pulled her to just outside the mountain cavern. “What is it? You’re scaring me.”
“I want you to be on the raid tomorrow.” Jake quieted down, knowing his eldest son and wife were awake in the tent.
“Ok, why is this a secret?”
“Neteyam doesn’t know you’re going, and he isn’t going himself.”
“So, I am committing treason against my mate?”
“Essentially.” Jake laughed, and Y/N gazed at the floating mountains. “He isn’t going to be happy with either of us.”
Y/N snickered while her ears went down in agreement, “But, do tell, why am I going and he isn’t?”
“He would be too worried about you to be an actual lookout for me.” Y/N pursed her lips. “And you are a good warrior, strong.”
“Interesting. Well, I have to prepare for my assassination by your son tomorrow when he realizes I am not home and where I am.”
“I count on it.” Jake whistled.
——
“Fire!” The chief voice Jake used came out when he said that as a train track was blown up. “Y/N, get that plane down.”
“Got it!” She raised her bow and released an arrow pointing at the first pilot, striking him right through the torso. Y/N aimed at the second one, but the gunmen learned of her position and began shooting at her. Now, Y/N was annoyed. An arrow flew for the second time from her bow and made its home in the pilot’s chest. The plane went down, and Y/N whooped with others. “It’s not an issue anymore.”
“Thank you.” Jake shortly transmitted, and Y/N went back to scouting for anymore threats.
Abruptly, bullets were flying at her backside, and she got to the floor, covering herself with her bow. Her eyes found the culprit, an aircraft with four pilots, and many soldiers with guns hanging out the open sides. Y/N huffed as she slightly lifted her bow, and an arrow flew into a soldier’s chest. Dead. The people in the plane didn’t like that. They fired rapidly at her place. “Jake!”
“I see you! Hold on!” Jake alarmed and made his way to his son’s mate. Jake’s gun blasted the ship and it became lopsided and fell into trees on fire. Y/N was still lowered as Jake arrived to her. “Are you hurt?”
“No.” Y/N responded. She stood and exposed the bullet grazes on her arms that were profusely bleeding. Jake gripped the place between her neck and shoulder and shook her. The adrenaline was tiring for Y/N so she began to hiss at the burning sensation. “I stand corrected.”
“My son is going to murder me.” Jake sighed and helped Y/N to her Ikran and holding her still as she was shaking slightly. “Will you be alright to fly back?”
“Yes, yes, of course.” She scoffed, her Ikran already in the sky, and Jake stared as she went out of sight before directing the warriors to fall back. Jake was on his Ikran after his instructions were said, and he followed Y/N closely, detecting whether she might fall. The two plus the warrior party made it to High Camp and the warriors began distributing the weapons and ammunition they raided. Jake and Y/N sneakily ran towards Mo’at’s tent and hoped neither of their mates were in there. The two shot each other relieved looks after Neteyam and Neytiri weren’t with Mo’at.
“Sit, child.” Mo’at hummed to Y/N, and the girl did as she was told. Jake stood at the flap of the tent, watching for Neytiri or Neteyam. Y/N grumbled ever so slightly as Mo’at lathered Y/N’s wounds with a mint leaf ointment. “You are in so much trouble, Toruk Makto.”
Jake shot Mo’at an annoyed glare and snarked, “You are helping, too.”
“I am tending to a warrior who is hurt. No blame in that.” Mo’at sharply cackled and put another kind of paste into Y/N’s injuries. “How are you?”
Y/N tore her eyes from her legs to stare into Mo’at’s eyes, “I am alright until Neteyam learns I am here.”
“Yes.” Mo’at agreed and placed a comforting hand on Y/N’s head. “Jakesully, sulking is not going to get you out of punishment.”
“She is right.” Neytiri appeared and roughly smacked her mate’s arm, and he held the place she touched with an apologetic expression. “My Y/N, what happened?”
“Oh, nothing really.” Y/N brushed off Neytiri’s concern and got to her feet. She could feel Neteyam nearby, and she needed to sprint before he saw her. Jake suddenly looked to her with wide eyes, and she knew exactly what that meant. Before she could even start to move her legs, Neteyam was grasping her upper arm, holding the uninjured part. “No!”
“Y/N.” Neteyam said. “How could you do this?”
“I had no choice, really. Your dad is Toruk Makto, I can’t just deny him.” Y/N weakly explained, and Neteyam’s ears drooped in disappointment. “Don’t look at me like that. I am fine anyway.”
“The medicine all over your arms say otherwise.” Neteyam shot back, and they held a stare-down. Jake and Neytiri peered as the two didn’t back down from each other’s penetrating stares. Finally, Neteyam sighed and pulled Y/N into his chest, “You could have been more hurt.”
“But I wasn’t.” Y/N’s voice was muffled by Neteyam’s skin. Her mate laughed at the sound, and Y/N lifted her head to him. “I am sorry I went behind your back, but I think we should just blame Jake.”
Jake became offended as Neteyam chuckled at Y/N and kissed her lips shortly. “I think so too.”
“Hey!” Jake whined slightly as everyone else giggled. Neytiri pushed Jake out of the tent to most likely scold him. Mo’at shooed Y/N and Neteyam away, so more injured could come for help.
“I am happy to see you.” Y/N muttered into Neteyam’s ear after they sat in their tent and cuddled into each other’s embrace. Neteyam kissed her neck and hummed.
“Likewise, my Y/N.” Neteyam uttered sweetly before putting his hand on her waist and massaging the skin there. “But you had me worried all day.”
“Yeah, yeah. But I came back to you.” Y/N mused while pecking against his lips. “I always will.”
“I hope so.” Neteyam pulled her infinitely closer and the whole night was filled with love from Y/N and Neteyam’s tent.

summary : Y/N and her family were forced to leave their home, and tensions rise as they continue their lives in a new place.
——————————————————————————
“Give it back!” Y/N shouted, annoyed at her twin brother, Neteyam, for stealing her rider’s mask. “You are like a child.”
He dangled it above her head, “That is what we are, sister.” Y/N finally snatched it from him and immediately called for her Ikran, Belli’a. “Dad won’t be happy you’re going out at this time.”
“He doesn’t care about me anyway.” Was Y/N’s end statement before she dove off the home base and into the dark sky. Neteyam watched her until she was a speck in the air then ran to find his other siblings.
“Where is Y/N?” Lo’ak asked as soon as Neteyam found him in their family’s tent. Their parents looked at their eldest son and awaited his response. Neteyam contemplated lying to save his sister, or telling the truth to save himself.
“She flew off.” Neteyam gritted out through his teeth and regretted it. His parents were up and asking questions after Neteyam answered. “She didn’t say where, she just left.”
Jake and Neytiri disregarded him and called for their Ikrans. The two searched the area for their daughter with no luck of finding her. They began the search near the forbidden section, hometree, considering it was still releasing toxic gases from its burnt trunk. Neytiri spotted an Ikran on a canopy and swooped to see if it was Y/N’s. It was. She waved her arm to Jake, and he came down to his mate. They got off their Ikrans and trailed down the tree to the floor. Jake tracked her footprints to a part of the forest where a river was still flowing despite being blocked by big branches of hometree. They located Y/N in the water, but she was simply floating in it, arms and legs spread, face and mind cleared of any thoughts. The bioluminescent rocks under her made her seem as if she was a part of Ewya with her peaceful nature. But Jake and Neytiri didn’t care for that as of this moment.
“Y/N!” Jake stomped into the river and pulled his daughter up by her arm. Her startled eyes met his, and she tensed under his gaze. “What are you doing out here? Flying off?”
She attempted to take back her arm from his grip but to no avail. “I was just enjoying the freedom and peace.”
“That was your last moment of it for a long time because you’re grounded.” Jake fired back at her, and Y/N yanked her arm out of his hand.
“I am double grounded?” Y/N spat at the man in front of her.
“Yes, if that’s what it takes for you to not disobey direct orders.” Jake said with a venomous tone. Neytiri didn’t know whether to step in or let the two settle it, just them.
“This is ridiculous.” Y/N spoke and started walking the path to her Ikran. Jake quickly caught her wrist and turned her back to him.
“Don’t walk away when I am speaking to you. I am your father.” Jake seethed at his defiant daughter.
“You’re acting like an officer. I am not your soldier.” Y/N replied and shook him off once again. “Fathers don’t yell at their children for a small mistake. Fathers don’t make their children scared to talk to them. Fathers don’t want their children to fear them when they walk towards them.”
Jake softened his features and looked to Neytiri then back at Y/N. “Is that how you feel?”
“Obviously, or I wouldn’t have said it.” Y/N snapped and turned away from her parents prying eyes, wanting more information on her feelings.
“Why didn’t you say this before?” Neytiri finally got in the conversation and approached her daughter carefully.
“You didn’t care about my thoughts.” She pointed her sentence at her father. Jake glanced down in guilt and gazed back to the girl. “Also, I like to keep my grievances to myself.”
“That isn’t healthy.” Jake commented, and Neytiri shot him a warning look. “Y/N, I apologize if I have made you feel that way, and I don’t want you to be upset at me.”
“Too late.”
“He is trying.” Neytiri told her daughter, defending his apologies.
“Please, Y/N. We can come to a resolution.” His daughter glared into him, and he swallowed harshly at her cold eyes. “I see you, my daughter.”
“Fine.” Y/N relented with an unwavering stare at her father. “I accept your apology, father.” He inched closer to her, but she stepped back. Jake was hurt by that, but respected his daughters boundaries and just motioned for her to go back to the Ikrans. The three flew back home and were even silent when they entered the tent where the rest of the family was sitting.
Y/N didn’t acknowledge anyone and went straight for her bed in the corner and put her back to everyone. Jake stared at his daughter well in to the night, wondering where he first went wrong with her and how they ended up in this hostile relationship. Neytiri did the same, but comforted Jake more so as he spoke of his thoughts out loud to her after all the children were sleeping.
The next morning was an early one since the raid of the RDA’s supplies was that day. Y/N was up before any of her family and was sharpening her knife as her parents woke up along with Neteyam and Lo’ak. The five quietly collected their battle gear and walked out of the tent to let the two not going sleep. Y/N put on her chest armor and forearm cuffs then called for Belli’a and straddled her. She waited for the family to do the same before heading off to her post. Y/N was a lookout for the raid.
She stood on her Ikran as the train appeared from the distance and neared the Na’vi waiting in the forest. Y/N resumed looking at the sky for any RDA people to come flying in. Her bow was out and arrows were ready to fly if instructed. The train was close enough to where it would be great to set off the explosion so it wouldn’t wreck all the materials inside. Which is exactly what happened. Jake sent the signal and the tracks were blown up with the train railing into the dirt.
Y/N perceived an aircraft heading towards them and shot an arrow at the plane before telling her father of the intrusion of the sky people. Neytiri and her squad were on it immediately as soon as Y/N informed them. Y/N’s job was done, or so she thought before she witnessed her idiotic brothers landing on the battlefield.
“Idiots!” Y/N mumbled to herself then flew down to where they were to scold them. “Father definitely told you two to stay in the sky.”
Neteyam jumped at his twin sister’s voice erupting from behind him. “I only came down here because this moron came first.” He pointed to Lo’ak who was in the line of passing weapons.
Y/N rolled her eyes and pulled Lo’ak and Neteyam by their ears to their Ikrans with them complaining like children about how it hurt. “Go! Now! Before Dad sees.”
Jake saw his three children on the field and was on his way to them but a missile was dropped next to them and only Y/N was hit. Lo’ak and Neteyam had climbed their Ikrans already and were in the air before the bomb fell. Neteyam roared in horror for his sister as she got lost in the debris. Jake hurried to pull metal and dirt away from where he thinks she tumbled.
“Y/N!” Jake yelled. A cough was heard over a train door, and Jake ran to find his daughter on her back, holding her arm. He kneeled down to her and stroked the hair from her face. “Hey, hey, I am gonna get you up.” Jake hauled Y/N onto her feet to which she groaned at the soreness. He had an arm around her waist while Y/N’s head leaned against his bicep. “Stay awake, ok?”
“Dad!” Jake heard from above, and Neteyam was there hovering. “I can take her!”
Y/N was silent as Kiri chatted and bandaged her arm. It’s not that she didn’t enjoy what Kiri was saying, she just couldn’t focus when she knew her father was about to rip her a new one for being on battlefield. Her other arm held up her aching head as she hit it on a metal object out there as well.
“Y/N.” Her father barked from outside the tent. Y/N closed her eyes and prayed to Eywa before standing shakily and exiting the healing tent. “What was that out there? Why were you down there?” Neytiri was once again a neutral party to the side.
“My brothers were being idiots, and I was getting them out of the way.” Y/N tiredly explained. Jake clenched his jaw as he observed his injured daughter. Her face was busted from whatever it hit, and her arm now had a gash the length of his hand. “Can you yell at me tomorrow? I think I might pass out, and I don’t want that to be counted as disrespectful.” Neytiri led her daughter to her bed as Jake followed behind.
Neytiri brought Jake out a little away from their tent and said, “You are too hard on them, her.” She kept a space between them as he tried to reach out. “This isn’t a squad, it is a family.”
Jake’s eyes filled with unshed tears as he said, “She is hurt because of those knuckleheads. But she knows better than that.”
Neytiri shook her head and went to tend to Y/N who was calling for her. Jake rested on a rock and watched the Na’vi bustling around, organizing weapons and carrying conversations. He only stopped his lurking when Tuk came over and said he looked sad. He instantly smiled and said not anymore.
The next few days were a whirlwind for Y/N after her siblings were held captive in exchange for their father to traveling to the island, Awa’atlu. Y/N was still weak from her run in with train pieces so as her father pleaded with the leaders of the Metkayina clan, she rested her head on Neteyam, and he let her. Their Tsahik surrounded the Sully’s space and accused Lo’ak and Kiri of not being real Na’vi.
“Look, look. I was born of the sky people, and now I am Na’vi. All right?” Ronal narrowed her eyes. “You can adapt. We will adapt. Okay?” Jake declared and kept his children out of Ronal’s sight.
“My husband was Toruk Makto.” Neytiri established and inched toward Tonowari. “He led the clans to victory against the sky people.”
“This you call victory?” Ronal snarked. “Hiding among strangers? It seems Ewya has turned her back on you, Chosen One.” She directed that comment to Jake, and Neytiri growled at her. Ronal returned the gesture.
“I apologize for my mate.” Jake stepped between the women before a fight broke out.
Neytiri snapped, “Do not apologize for me.”
Jake gave her a pleading look as he said, “She’s flown a long way, and she’s exhausted.”
“Jake!” Neytiri hissed.
“Toruk Makto is a great war leader. All Na’vi people know this story. But we, Metkayina, are not at war. We cannot let you bring your war here.” Tonowari expressed to Jake.
Jake clicked his tongue before saying, “I am done with war. Ok? Just wanna keep my family safe.” Y/N shut her eyes completely, pure exhaustion taking over, and Neteyam held her up delicately. Neytiri glanced back at her hurt daughter and back to the Clan leaders.
Ronal followed to where Neytiri looked and her eyes eased a little. Her and Tonowari had a nonverbal conversation with their facial expressions and came to a conclusion.
“Toruk Makto and his family will stay with us. Treat them as our brothers and sisters for they do not know the sea. So they will be like babies taking their first breath. Teach them our ways so they do not suffer the shame of being useless.” Jake was relieved to hear of Tonowari’s decision and prodded his children to thank the man. “My son, Aonung, and daughter, Tsireya, will show your children what to do.” A boy popped out protesting, but Tonowari put his hand up to silence him. “It is decided.”
“Come, I will show you our village.” Tsireya joyfully led them through the nets and docks of the island. Neteyam eventually just had Y/N on his back since she was too tired to even walk. The family was taken down a woven path to a marui where they would live. She left after everyone was inside the hut.
“Okay, Sully’s fall in!” Jake said and gathered his children and wife in a circle. “Come on, take it in, let’s go.” Y/N was shaken awake by Neytiri, and Y/N laid on her mother as her father spoke, “I need you kids on your best behavior. I mean it. Learn fast, pull your weight. Don’t cause trouble. Got it?” Lo’ak was specifically targeted by that one so he nodded.
“I want to go home.” Tuk cried.
“Tuk, this is our home now.” Jake patted her back. “We’re gonna get through this. Only if we have each other’s backs.”
“What does your father always say?” Neytiri chimed.
“Sully’s stick together.” Their children blankly answered.
“Yes, that’s right. Now with a little more feeling.” Jake says and his children do it once more before he dismisses them. Y/N stayed in the marui because she was too sore/tired to get up more than she was. “Neytiri, I am going to learn as well. I will see you when I get back.” Jake placed a kiss on his mate’s forehead then left the hut to find Tonowari.
“Are you alright, my daughter?” Neytiri crawled to Y/N who laid on the floor in a ball. Neytiri put her hand upon Y/N’s head and soothed the knots in Y/N’s flowing hair.
“I’m fine. No need to worry.” Y/N whispered and held her eyes shut. Y/N’s headache was back and stronger than before, but she didn’t want her mother worrying and her father complaining. But Neytiri was smart enough to know her daughter’s signs.
Neytiri grabbed a cold leaf and put it to her daughter’s head, and Neytiri could see the relief it brought to Y/N’s body. The mother and daughter ended up snuggling and falling asleep on a blanket with Y/N’s head on Neytiri’s chest.
Jake returned to the marui, ready to tell his wife of the skimwing he managed to dive and fly with, but once he saw her and his eldest daughter cuddled, he couldn’t bare to wake them up and disturb their peace. So, he busied himself with making food for his family for dinner.
“You were so embarrassed!” Neteyam laughed out as he walked into the hut with Lo’ak and Tuk. Lo’ak shoved his brother into the wall and begrudgingly sat down next to his father who was raising his brows at the two’s conversation. Tuk giggled as well and scaled onto her father’s back.
“Where is Kiri?” Jake asked Neteyam, and hugged Tuk once he rearranged her to be on his lap. Lo’ak side glanced his brother as Neteyam thought of an appropriate response.
“Getting lessons from Aonung and Tsireya.”
“At eclipse?”
“Yes.” Neteyam shortly answered. Neytiri woke up after all the banging of wooden plates and bowls by Tuk who apologized as soon as she saw her mother and sister opening their eyes.
“What have you made, Ma Jake?” Neytiri got up and scooped Tuk into her arms. Y/N just rolled over and tried to fall asleep again. “Y/N, to the circle.” Y/N huffed and legged to plop next to Neteyam who gave her a soft smile.
“Just a stew from the fish I caught.” He replied and poured it evenly into the bowls. Kiri barged into the marui with an angry face and everyone knew not to interact and let her eat peacefully.
——-
Y/N, the next day, settled on the pale sand of the shore and kept a lazy eye on Kiri who was in the shallow water, searching for tiny creatures.
“What is she doing?” Y/N distantly heard and perked up to see Aonung, Roxto, and two other clan members standing on the shore, pointing at Kiri. “She is just looking at the sand.”
“Hey! Fish Brains! Leave her alone!” Y/N retorted to the annoying boys. Kiri got out of the water and gazed at her sister and the Metkayina, confused.
“What did you say?” Kiri innocently questioned.
“Are you some kind of freak?” Aonung snickered, and Y/N finally got off her back and pushed the clan leader’s son away. “Woah!”
“I said leave her alone! Now, back off!” Y/N reprimanded the boys and put Kiri behind her. They kept pulling and tugging on the girls that Y/N had enough and punched Aonung in the face. All commotion stopped and the four boys stared at her. “What? Never been punched?” Aonung kicked her to the ground and fired a punch into her nose. The other boys started dragging her limbs as Lo’ak and Neteyam appeared.
“Hey! Leave her alone!” Neteyam whacked Aonung off Y/N, and Lo’ak began fighting Roxto and the other two. Y/N was more bloodied and internally screamed once she realized her father was going to rip her to shreds once he saw her. The fight trickled out after awhile, and Kiri left long ago, not caring for such stupid activities. The three Sully siblings left looked to each other and accepted their fate as they made their way to the family marui.
“What were you thinking?” Jake yelled at his kids, and Y/N rolled her eyes. “What is the one thing I asked you to do?”
“Stay out of trouble. Listen, it was my fault.” Neteyam tried to ease the tension and take the blame.
“Neteyam, do not be daft. I threw the first punch.” Y/N defended her brothers, and Jake’s conflicted eyes met her unattached ones. “Triple ground me.”
Lo’ak jumped in, “I’ll go apologize.” He left and so did Neteyam, leaving Jake and Y/N to settle their staring contest.
“Why’d you do it?” Jake sighed.
“They were picking on Kiri and I.” She replied and held a hand to her face to stop the tears from falling. “I couldn’t just let them bully her.”
“Look, I know that, Y/N, but that was Tonowari’s son. He is higher up here. His father didn’t like to see his son beat up by the guest’s kids.” Jake reasoned with his daughter. A rogue tear escaped Y/N’s eye. “Oh, babygirl.” Jake embraced Y/N, and she finally didn’t resist him. “Is there more to this story?”
“I, just, I want to go home.” She meekly murmured into her dad’s shoulder. “I don’t belong here.” Jake clutched his daughter until she released him. “I have to apologize, too.”
——
Her and Aonung made up, but it fell apart just as quickly as she found out through Neteyam that Aonung took Lo’ak outside the reef and left him there. Now, there was a search party out for her younger brother, and she wasn’t even allowed to assist in the rescue by her father’s orders.
“I have the boy!” A warrior called as he swam on his Ilu up to the shore with Lo’ak behind him.
“Lo’ak!” Y/N shouted and ran to him and checked him for wounds, she found minimal damage, so she hugged him. He gratefully enveloped her. Neytiri and Jake appeared next to them and so did the clan leaders with Aonung and Tsireya at their sides.
“Is he hurt?” Tonowari worriedly asked the Na’vi girl.
“No, no he isn’t. No harm.” Jake spoke instead of Y/N, and she narrowed her eyes at her father. “Thank you for finding him.”
“My son has to own up to his mistakes.” Tonowari stopped Jake from taking his family away. “Aonung?”
“No, sir. It was my fault. I suggested for us to go beyond the reef. Aonung just wanted to please me.” Lo’ak said, stepping out of Y/N’s arms. Y/N sneered as she realized she was saving Aonung’s ass from being punished.
Tonowari and Ronal glared down at their son, “Is this true?” Ronal grunted.
“I’ll deal with this.” Jake pushed Lo’ak along, and Y/N trailed, not wanting Lo’ak to be alone. “Cause anymore trouble, and I’ll tie your tail into a knot, you read me?”
“Yes, sir. Lima, Charlie. Can I go now?” He didn’t really wait for a response and left his older siblings and his parents to watch as he departed.
“Where were you?” Neytiri scolded Neteyam, and Y/N stayed near him in comfort.
“Yeah, what happened to keeping an eye on your brother?” Jake continued, and Y/N could see the disappointment in her father’s face. She knew it all too well. Neteyam knew there was no escape, so he only nodded.
“It isn’t Neteyam’s responsibility to always be at Lo’ak’s side.” Y/N snarled, and her father snapped his head to her. “And he wasn’t there because he was helping Tuk with her Ilu.” Neteyam and Neytiri inhaled sharply from her defiant words.
Jake breathed through his nose, staring at the girl with an unknown look. He was trying to understand her. And it frustrated him when he couldn’t immediately because this was his little girl, and he was meant to know what she was thinking and what she wanted from him.
“I hear what you’re saying.” He quietly told her. She waited for the “but,” but it never came. “Lo’ak could’ve been hurt out there.”
“That doesn’t mean it is Neteyam’s fault, or job to be his nanny. If anything, it is Aonung’s blame.”
Jake clenched his hands and faltered, “Y/N, I understand. I do not want you angry with me.”
Neytiri dragged her eldest son away as Y/N and her Jake had a stare down. Neither were backing down, and Jake cursed internally at her stubbornness that definitely came from his genes. The only indication of breathing from either was the steady movement of their tails swishing in time with their chests.
“You make being your child difficult.” Y/N snapped. Jake clicked his tongue and looked up at the dark, twinkling sky. “Do you see that?”
“Yes.” Jake was increasingly preparing to give up on his daughter. Y/N shook her head after he didn’t elaborate or say anything else, so she began walking somewhere where he wouldn’t be. “Wait.” He caught up with her. “I need to guarantee safety for all my kids, and at times that means I have to be harsh.”
“That doesn’t justify you treating Neteyam, Lo’ak, and I like soldiers.” She retorted, but her cruel stare became softened as her father eyes glazed over. Jake suddenly sat on the sand and patted next to him for her to do the same. His daughter hesitated but did so.
“I had a twin.” Jake informed her and didn’t look at her. “Back on Earth. He was supposed to be the one to come here and explore.” Y/N could see where this was going and played with the sand. “He died before he could be sent here. I took his place because I had nothing else back on Earth.”
Jake finally stared at her. “I met your mother, she taught me the way of her, my, people, and then I was part of the Omatikaya clan. The sky people destroyed HomeTree, I tried to stop them. Your grandfather died, and your mother was heartbroken. She didn’t like for awhile.” He wistfully smiled as he thought back to those days. “But she accepted me again. And we defeated the sky people. And then I found out she was pregnant with Neteyam.” Y/N swallowed hard. “I didn’t know she would birth two babies that day, but when I saw you come into the light. I knew I would do anything to keep you safe.” Jake and Y/N met eyes. “I can’t let anything happen to you, or your siblings because I don’t know what I’ll do.”
“I see you.” Is all Y/N said.
——
Ronal cried out the next day at the sight of her Tulkun floating dead in the ocean beside her calf. Once Jake saw who did this, he had to instruct Tonowari to tell the Tulkun to leave, so they wouldn’t be hunted, including his family not being hunted. Lo’ak had a thinking face, and that frightened Y/N. Soon, Lo’ak left the discussion area and ran to get his Ilu to find his Spirit Brother, Payakan, with Neteyam and Y/N hot on his trail.
“I have to tell Payakan. He is outcast.” Lo’ak unhooked the armor for his Ilu.
“Lo’ak!” Neteyam boomed. “I have to keep your skxawng ass here.” He snickered slightly as he said that.
“He is my brother, I have to tell him.” Neteyam had an angry expression as he got up in Lo’ak’s face.
“No, I am your brother.” Neteyam growled, and Y/N already knew Lo’ak’s plan as he pushed Neteyam away and jumped on his Ilu. Y/N immediately jumped into the water, and her Ilu got her and she told it to follow Lo’ak’s Ilu. She could hear others also coming, but Y/N focused on keeping Lo’ak out of danger.
The two arrived to Payakan around the same time. Lo’ak took notice of the tracker on Payakan that was the same at the one that was on Ronal’s Tulkun. “Help me!” Lo’ak yelled to his sister, and he started pulling at the tracker. She did too, and the others approached and grabbed at it.
“Call dad! Just go! Tell him where we are!” Neteyam struggled to say to Lo’ak through his tries of pulling the tracker off of Payakan. Y/N got onto her Ilu and put the rope from her Ilu’s harness onto the tracker.
“Go!” She commanded her Ilu, and it began trudging in the water, trying to move with the force of the tracker. Aonung and Neteyam set it loose, and Y/N was off into the sea, attempting to find a place to drop the device. She sensed something following her and found a crab-like vessel chasing her. She swerved the Ilu and dropped the tracker in the sand.
She narrowly avoided the vessel and found a place to lay low until her brother searched for her. But that idea fell through after she witnessed Tsireya, Tuk, and Lo’ak getting caught in the net.
She hurriedly tried to stop it from going out of the water, but she was too slow. Y/N looked to her left to find Kiri capturing another vessel in tendrils on some sort on a plant, ultimately saving herself, Roxto, and Aonung. Neteyam swam beside her as she thought of a way to discreetly get on the ship. Neteyam and Y/N communicated with opposing looks and made their move when Payakan shot up onto the ship. The twins jumped out of the water and scaled the ship to where their siblings and Tsireya were tied.
“Lo’ak needs saving from his big sister?” Y/N teased and cut his cuffs. He rolled his eyes as he smiled at her. “Tsireya, take Tuk.” The Metal girl nodded and led Tuk to the ocean with her.
“We need to get Spider!” Lo’ak pleaded with his older siblings who shared a weary glance. “Please, we can’t leave him!” Y/N stomped her foot in disagreement, but Neteyam knew what that meant and nodded to Lo’ak. So, the three scoured the ship for Spider and climbed the pipes above. They found him being escorted by sky people, and Neteyam knocked one out as Y/N dealt with the other one, kneeing his face and causing him to pass out. Lo’ak whooped with Spider as Neteyam pushed them along. Y/N snatched the gun from the ground and shot at the Avatars aiming their guns at them. She hit every single one in the heart.
“Go! In the water! Now!” Y/N shoved Spider, and he told the other two, and they listened. Y/N took a deep breath as more people shot at her area, and she was out of ammo with no bow either. She regained her mental strength and sprinted to the water. The Avatars took their chance and ruthlessly fired at the Na’vi girl. She felt it before she could locate it.
“Y/N! We did it!” Lo’ak happily exclaimed and fist bumped Spider. Y/N spat water from her mouth and held her side. Neteyam zeroed in on her and caught the way she was choking on something that wasn’t water.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Neteyam swam to her, and looked under to find the source of bleeding. “Lo’ak! She is bleeding!” Lo’ak swam over to them, and Tsireya got off her Ilu, so Neteyam could put Y/N on it ride to the rocks nearby. “Hold her up, Lo’ak!”
As they got to to rocks where their father waited, he opened his mouth in terror as his daughter was actively bleeding out. “Gently! Watch her head!” He bellowed to his sons as they set her on the rocky ground. “Y/N, babygirl, hey, hey, I need you to hang on. Neteyam, apply pressure on the wound!” He flipped her fragilely and saw there was an exit wound. “No! No! Ok, Y/N.”
“What is it?” Jake couldn’t answer his eldest son as he held his daughter’s pale blue face in his hands.
“I wanna go home.” Y/N sputtered to her dad. “Dad, I wanna go.” Y/N could see the hope draining from her father’s eyes as he nodded.
“We’re going home. I’ll take you home.” Jake reassured her. Neytiri arrived and screamed in out loud at the state of her child.
“No! Y/N! My sweet daughter! Eywa! Please, please! My baby!” Neytiri cradled her daughters’s head and arms. “No!”
“Mom, I,-“ The light in Y/N’s eyes vanished and her breathing ceased. Neytiri shrieked and cuddled her dead daughter closer, hoping her love and desperation would bring her back. Jake looked to the sky with tears falling, he couldn’t hear his own thoughts as his mate and Neteyam wailed and knelt over Y/N’s body.
“Where are your sisters?” Jake asked Lo’ak numbly. Lo’ak provided the answer and Jake gathered Neytiri and Spider before retrieving his daughters.
——
Jake, Neytiri, and Neteyam lowered Y/N into the bright, yellow tendrils in the sea and watched as Y/N was swallowed by them and laid to rest with the ocean floor. After her funeral, the three traveled to the Cove of the Ancestors to see Y/N.
Jake was transported to a memory of young Y/N shooting her first thanator without Jake’s help.
“Look, Dad, I did it!” She excitedly squealed, and Jake softly grinned at his little girl and a tear fell from his eye. “Why are you crying? Is it not dead?” His daughter turned around frantically, but Jake only laughed and spun her back to him.
He caressed her face as she was now the older version of herself, “I am just happy to see you.”
She have him an odd look, then older Neteyam appeared behind him, tearing up as well, “You two are acting strange, but I am happy to see you, too.” Neytiri was in the shadows watching with a faraway smile as her daughter was reunited with Jake and Neteyam. “Well, I have to go prepare the thanator, and get you carry it, loser.” The little Y/N was back and was saying that to Jake. He only laughed in the memory with Neteyam chuckling behind him, holding his hand to the bracelet she carved and made him that same day from the thanator teeth.

neteyam sully x fem!navi!reader
summary : Y/N and Neteyam discovered the underlying feelings for each other back in the Omatikaya Clan and now their love must survive the Metkayina.
——————————————————————————
“Has Y/N been around here?” Neteyam walked into the tent where Kiri was tending to wounded hunters.
“No. Check the forest.” Kiri replied, continuing to patch up a male Na’vi’s shoulder. Neteyam did as Kiri said and found Y/N not in the trees, but in the river. She was catching little fish and releasing them after she gave them quick pats.
“What are you doing down here, Nete?” Y/N splashed him as he got closer to her, still on the forest floor. “I thought I could finally have peace from you and Lo’ak.”
“Never, my paysyul.” Neteyam put a foot in the water and jumped back from the chilling sensation. “How are you standing in this cold river?”
“I got used to it. Now, what do you want?”
“I can’t want to see my favorite person?” Y/N gave him a “really” look. “Ok, there is a “hunt”, and my father asked me to get you.”
“Oh, I was chosen by the Toruk Makto. Should I be feeling special?” Y/N teased as Neteyam assisted Y/N out of the water by keeping her body steady as she hopped to the forest floor.
“You’re chosen every time, I am afraid.” Neteyam responded, and Y/N rolled her eyes and shoved him away.
“I know, skxawng.” They trekked back up to camp, and Neteyam’s parents waited patiently at their tent for Y/N and Neteyam. “Oh, mighty Toruk Makto, I am so blessed to have been chosen for this once in a lifetime opportunity. Thank you, sir.” Y/N gave a deep bow after her speech which caused Jake to snicker and Neytiri and Neteyam to playfully roll their eyes.
“Hello, Y/N.” Jake greeted the young girl that has unknowingly captured his eldest son’s heart. “Let’s go over the plan.” He led her into his tent, and the two discussed strategy and tactics.
“My son, have you told her of your feelings?” Neytiri asked, and Neteyam just kept staring at Y/N from outside the tent.
“No.” Neteyam switched his gaze to look at his mother as she sighed.
Before Neytiri could provide advice for Neteyam, Y/N and Jake barreled out of the tent.
“I am so ready for this raid.” Y/N excitedly jumped and called for her Ikran, Malu.
“Be careful, Y/N! And don’t do anything I didn’t tell you to.” Jake instructed the reckless girl already flying away. Jake looked to Neytiri and Neteyam, “Go get your brother, your mother and I will get the warriors.”
Neteyam rushed to find Lo’ak which was easy considering he was sitting with Tuk and Kiri in the wounded tent. “Let’s go, Lo’ak. We’ve got a job.”
Lo’ak and Neteyam flew on their Ikrans to where Jake resided on the forest canopy above the train tracks, waiting for the train with supplies to come. Y/N was high in the sky, arrow out and ready to release one if needed. Y/N could hear the train screeching inch by inch nearer to the Na’vi who are about to blow the train up on Jake’s command.
Which was right about now. “Fire!”
On either side of the tracks, explosives were shot and blew up the train and destroyed the tracks. The Na’vi warriors quickly ran to the site and started scrummaging through the fallen supplies, and the chain of materials into the forest began.
Jake told his sons to stay in the sky and watch the perimeter and tell him if anything is around. Y/N was told to stay high as well, to not engage unless absolutely necessary.
“Come on, bro. Let’s go help.” Lo’ak begged his brother.
“No, Dad would skin us.” Neteyam argued and tried to find Y/N in the sky. No luck.
“Well, I’m going.” Lo’ak swooped down to the action, and Neteyam had no choice but to follow because he had to protect his little brother.
“Jake!” Y/N said over the comms. Neteyam became scared because of the tone she had.
“Y/N, what is it?” Jake paused his movements to focus on the girl.
“There is an aircraft coming our way, a big one. It -“ Y/N was cut off as she yelped when the plane shot at her.
“Y/N! Do you copy!” Jake urgently panicked. She shot at the pilot and hit the glass to obstruct his view.
“I am here.” Y/N responded and mentally told Malu to fly to the ground. Neteyam and Lo’ak were part of the assembly line and were trying not to be recognized by their parents. “What are you two idiots doing? I know Jake told you nimrods to stay out of the way.”
“We wanted to help.” Lo’ak says and hands a gun to the Na’vi warrior to the left of him.
“Move! Move!” The three heard then an explosion was sent off by the track farther down, and before Y/N could say “I told you so,” the plane shot at the ground where all the clan was, including Y/N, Lo’ak and Neteyam. The three started to run for safety, but a missile hit the metal next to them and caused Y/N to tumble down into wreckage.
“Y/N!” Neteyam shouted and tried to go back, but Lo’ak kept pushing him to the trees. “No!”
Neteyam didn’t have a moment to say anything else to stop Lo’ak as more bombs were dropped.
“Where’s Y/N?” Jake questioned over the comms, spotting his disobedient sons, but no reckless Na’vi girl who was always near when it regarded Neteyam.
“She got thrown into the debris.” Lo’ak informed his father as Neteyam paced in circles, worried over Y/N. Neytiri and other warriors finally shot every person in the aircraft and eliminated anymore ammunition coming to the scene.
Jake searched the area and found the knife Y/N always had slung around her torso on top of some torn metal. He knocked over the pieces and called her name with no response. He dug through the rubble deeper and located Y/N. He dragged her up and once she out, he threw her over his shoulders and carried her to the sidelines.
He gently placed her on the dirt and slapped her face. “Y/N. Wake up. Come on.” Her eyes opened and a cough escaped her mouth. “That’s it.”
“Jakey.” Y/N weakly said. Neteyam hurried over to her. “Nete, too. Isn’t this a dream?”
“Cracking jokes while injured is not very smart.” Jake scolded yet he smiled at the girl beneath him. Neytiri landed from her Ikran on the ground beside them. “She needs to see a medic.”
“I am fine.” Y/N attempted to sit up, but ultimately couldn’t because of the nasty cut on her lower back. “Nevermind, Neytiri please take me.”
Neytiri snorted and hauled Y/N on to her Ikran and set off to the mountain base. Jake now focused his attention on his sons as they looked down, guilty.
“We’re talking about this when we get back.” Jake says. Neteyam didn’t care about getting in trouble, all he wanted was to know if Y/N was fine. The ride back felt like a million years for Neteyam.
He heard Y/N before he saw her. She was laughing loudly from inside the tent. Neteyam opened the curtain and there Y/N was being stitched up by Kiri. “Neteyam. My sweet yawne, I was just telling your sister how you left me to die.” Y/N faked slumping over, but Kiri, annoyed, held her up and smacked Y/N’s head. “I think she secretly wishes for my demise.”
“Not secretly.” Kiri finished the stitch and ordered Y/N to leave. “Don’t tear those, please.”
“So, you don’t want me dead?” Y/N flirted.
Kiri closed the curtain, “Out!”
Y/N chuckled and Neteyam swore he never he heard something so beautiful. Y/N took his hand and guided him to a private mountain cave where the two spent most nights talking. It was filled with rugs, blankets, and other trinkets they had brought each time they returned.
“This scar is going to be so cool. Don’t you think, Nete?” Y/N twirled for him, and Neteyam blushed after he found himself staring too long at a certain lower body part.
“Yes. One big line.” Neteyam plopped onto a tiny cushion and sprawled his legs. Y/N stuck her tongue out at him and went between his legs to sit. Her back to his chest.
Y/N leaned her head back into his chest, “Why can’t you just admit I am so much cooler than you?”
“I don’t like lying, my paysyul.” Y/N giggled at him.
“You’re a cruel man, Nete.” Y/N smiled at Neteyam and shifted to be facing him. His fingers trailed up and down her back, and Y/N closed her eyes in contentment. Neteyam took note of the darkness under her shut eyes and frowned.
“When was the last time you slept?”
“A good 2 nights ago.” Y/N didn’t open her eyes because she didn’t want to witness the disappointed face Neteyam would have. It reminded her of Neytiri. “Don’t be upset. I am alright.”
“No, you are not.” Neteyam stroked her hair and threaded his fingers in at her scalp. “You need rest, Y/N.”
“Not when so many people need you.” Y/N fought the Sully boy. “I can’t just let them down.”
“You won’t. Why do you believe that?”
Y/N didn’t want to tell him it was because she felt that she didn’t belong and that being there for everyone would make her accepted. She has felt like a burden since her mother, Ninat, died from a fatal gun shot to the heart when she was around three. Her father died back when HomeTree had been burned.
Y/N opened her eyes and glared into Neteyam’s. Y/N settled her hand on his neck and pulled him closer to her. “You worry too much.”
“I worry enough about the people I care for.”
“Stop caring for me.” Y/N mumbled as his head dropped lower to hers.
“I can’t.” The words were barely spoken. “You are all I think of. All the time.”
Y/N rested her other hand on his chest, “Why?”
“I think you know.”
“But I want to hear you say it.”
Instead of words, Neteyam feverishly kissed her and gripped her hips to grasp her onto his lap. Y/N’s lips were warm against his and her body molded to his like a perfect puzzle piece. Y/N moved her lips to his chin and kissed that area as Neteyam squeezed her body tighter to him. Y/N kissed down to his neck, and he threw his head back to give her more access. She sucked at the base of his neck and left a more blue patch. The hand she had on his neck maneuvered up his skull to pull his head back further so she could go up his neck easier.
But when Y/N pulled his braids, Neteyam basically grunted, “Y/N, fuck.” She breathed a laugh as she gave him another hickey under the cove of his ear. “My turn.”
“Nope.” Y/N held his face in place. “Not until you use your words and say why.”
Neteyam huffed, “I love you, Y/N. I am in love with you. Have been since the first day I met you. Is that what you wanted to hear?”
“Precisely.” Y/N released his face and he immediately attacked her neck. She lightly hummed as he continued to kiss her neck. He began to suck at her sweet spot, right under her jawbone which made her breathlessly whisper, “Neteyam.”
Her fingers tugged at his hair again and he groaned into the skin of her neck. Y/N needed his lips back on hers so she tilted her head and reclaimed his mouth. Neteyam opened his mouth to allow Y/N more of him, and she took the opportunity. Neteyam slowly laid on his back and Y/N maintained contact. They didn’t stop until they heard the shouts of their names outside the cave. The two were knocked from their bliss and hurriedly fixed themselves before leaving the little sanctuary.
“There they are.” Kiri breathed a sigh of relief. Tuk and Spider were close behind Kiri as Neteyam and Y/N walked to them. “Dinner is ready.” The pair glanced briefly then just smiled and followed the others.
Discreetly, Neteyam positioned his hand on her back, avoiding the cut. She side eyed him and widened her eyes when she saw the marks she left. “Oh, my Eywa.”
“What?” Neteyam panicked.
“Those hickies are huge. Why is my tongue so strong?” Y/N got off topic, but was back to it after she looked at them again. “Ok, what do mine look like?”
Neteyam smirked, “Hot.” Y/N flicked his ear and caught up with Tuk. Neteyam laughed as he did the same.
“Finally.” Lo’ak said when he saw the four Na’vi and human approaching. “Where were you all?”
“We had to find these morons.” Kiri pushed past Lo’ak. Lo’ak squinted at Y/N and peered at her neck and looked to Neteyam.
“You are gonna be in so much trouble.” Lo’ak deviously said and made kissy faces at Y/N and Neteyam.
“Oh, shut up.” Y/N said and bumped him out of the way with Neteyam right behind her doing the same.
“How is your injury?” Jake asked Y/N when she got fruits next to him on the table. She wouldn’t make eye contact which made Jake confused. “Are you okay? Did Neteyam do something?”
Y/N snorted and answered, “It is fine, should be better by tomorrow. I am fine as well. Your son is a cuddly bug. He couldn’t hurt ol’ me.”
“Just checking.” Jake went back to Tuk and Neytiri and placed the fruits he got for them in their bowls. Y/N sighed as she traveled to Neteyam.
“Your father is concerned you have hurt me.”
“What?!” Neteyam urgently whispered.
“Chill. He was talking emotionally. He hasn’t seen the physical abuse you’ve done to me.” She playfully dropped dead and cowered from him.
“You joke too much.” Neteyam’s eyes lit up when she sat up closer to him.
Y/N jested, “Oh, but didn’t you say you love me?”
“No.” Neteyam denied and swallowed more of his Teylu. Y/N elbowed him and ate the bladder polyps she got from the table.
“Y/N, what happened to your neck?” Tuk innocently poked the girl’s hickey, and Y/N became alarmed and covered it when the whole family looked her and Neteyam’s way.
“Let me see.” Neytiri said and legged over to Y/N.
“No, no. It’s ok. Nothing is wrong.” Y/N urged and scooted into Neteyam.
“It could be dangerous.” Neytiri fought back and moved Y/N’s hand, and she gasped then transferred her glare to her son. “Neteyam.”
“What is it?” Jake stood in front of them then opened his mouth in an “O.” Y/N nervously laughed and tried to stand to escape, but Neteyam held her tail so he wouldn’t face his parents wrath alone. “Kids, out.”
Neteyam’s siblings ran out hollering with laughter.
“So, the weather?” Y/N tried.
“When did this happen?” Neytiri asked the teenagers.
“Earlier.” Neteyam responded to his mother who rubbed her forehead. “We didn’t even connect queues.”
“This is practically the same thing.” Jake joined in on Neytiri’s scolding session.
“I thought you wanted this.” Neteyam protested to his parents.
“We thought it would be gradual.” Jake says, and Y/N looked to Neteyam. “Well, there’s no stopping you two now, so be safe, and don’t be stupid around each other. Or gross. You are dismissed. And please don’t tear her stitches, Kiri will have everyones heads.”
The teens left the tent immediately and coursed back to the their secret hideout. As soon as Y/N knew no one could see them, she pushed Neteyam against the wall and brought his lips down to hers. Neteyam instantly kissed back and pulled Y/N into him. Their lips moved roughly and eventually Y/N was the one with her back to the wall.
“Neteyam.” Y/N moaned after he bit her lip a little which encouraged him to move his lips to her chest. She gripped his strong biceps and dug her nails into the flesh there. “Rutxe.”
Neteyam gave her lips one last peck before he murmured, “Do you genuinely want a sätare with me? Is this real?”
As Y/N lovingly stared into his golden eyes, she spoke, “I have never wanted anything more, Neteyam.” Y/N caressed his face lightly and planted a kiss on his cheek.
“You are extraordinary, my love.” Neteyam steered her to the blankets in the corner, and they laid down, Y/N curled into Neteyam’s arms.
——
“I can’t believe you and my brother are now a thing.” Kiri complained as the group minus Neteyam climbed and jumped across branches.
“Sorry, you’re not my only love anymore.” Y/N blew a kiss to Kiri and helped Tuk over a massive vine. “I know you’re jealous.”
“As if, Y/N.” Kiri ventured off on her own as the rest of the crew explored the area. The trip was cut short though after Lo’ak reminded them they would be in trouble if they didn’t get back before eclipse. As Tuk, Lo’ak, and Y/N traveled ahead, Spider went to grab Kiri.
Before they could truly begin their journey home, Lo’ak spotted huge boot prints. “That definitely isn’t native Na’vi. Sky people.”
“We definitely have to go now.” Y/N said and pushed the rest of the group onward. “Go, guys!”
A twig snapped near them and Y/N’s ear twitched as she looked to where the noise came from. The others stopped when Y/N did, and she rolled her eyes. As Y/N was going to resume the trek, a hand snatched her hair and dragged her to the leaves below them. Lo’ak attempted to help but got caught by another hand. All five of them got captured by the foreign Avatars in military clothing.
“Look what we have here.” A military man heckled. He approached Y/N and used his finger to inspect her face. She couldn’t squirm away, so she spat at his face. He tumbled back slightly, but regained balance and Y/N was met with a swat to the face. “You are a Na’vi bitch and you have comms. Definitely Sully’s.” He noticed about Kiri, “This one has five fingers.” He turned his attention to Lo’ak who kept hissing at the person holding him. “You do too. English?”
Lo’ak slowly put his hands up just to flip him off. “What do we do, boss?” Some soldier asked.
“We wait, he’ll come soon enough for his children.” It was a long process for Jake to hint his arrival to the captured children.
Y/N awaited her saviors painfully since the person holding her down had his knee in her back the entire time and her neck held back. Soon enough, an arrow hit a man on the outskirts of the group, and everyone became alert.
“Is that you, Mrs. Sully?” The head man called. Rain was the only sound in response to him. Neytiri never giving away her appearance and standing hidden somewhere, ready to shoot. Y/N couldn’t see much since the man had a tight grip on her body. She could hear more soldiers dropping to the ground, probably at the hands of Jake. And the next moment, chaos erupted, Kiri was released from her captor by Neytiri which triggered Jake to shoot at the men holding Tuk, Lo’ak, and Y/N. Tuk and Lo’ak made it away safely, but Y/N got caught up with a soldier’s knife to her thigh. Y/N fell to the floor with a scream of pain. The knife was still in her leg. Before someone could manhandle her again, Y/N ran for the trees and didn’t look back. Only did she stop when the knife got tangled in a vine and ripped out of her leg.
“Y/N!” A voice called to her. Neteyam. He quickly found his lover in a cove of a tree. “Hey, hey, are you hurt?” He glanced at the blood seeping from her leg. “Ok, ok. My yawne, can you hear me? Squeeze my hand for yes.” She did. “Ok. Can you walk?” She didn’t respond. Neteyam hoisted her over his shoulder and raced to where his family regathered. “Dad!”
Jake whipped his head to see his child with Y/N on his shoulders. “What’s wrong?” Jake took Y/N off Neteyam and carefully placed her on his kneeled lap.
“Her leg.” Neteyam pointed and got Lo’ak’s bottom cloth and gave it to Jake. He wrapped it and ordered Neteyam to put her on his Ikran and get her to their grandmother.
——
“What the fuck.” Y/N mumbled as soon as she was back to consciousness. Neteyam quietly laughed from where he was sitting beside her, holding her hand. Y/N looked to him and groaned, “I thought you were Kiri, my one true love.”
“Oh, please.” Neteyam scoffed and aided her in sitting up. Y/N stared at her bandaged thigh and poked it with her fingers. “What are you doing?”
“Seeing if the pain will make me pass out again.” Neteyam immediately grasped her fingers again and provided her a stern look. “You’re looking at me like Jake does. Stop.”
Neteyam tugged her closer, and Y/N’s head naturally tucked into his neck. She traced his palm and feather kissed the skin at his neck and chest. “Are you alright?”
“Mhm.” She said, and he didn’t believe her. “I can feel the tension. What happened while I was unconscious?”
“We have to leave.” Y/N shot out of his arms.
“What? Leave? Why?”
Neteyam shushed her and rubbed her back delicately, “My parents are the ones being targeted. It’s not safe anymore for my family.”
“What about me?” Y/N furiously asked and pushed him away. “I am not your family.”
“Yes, you are.”
“Maybe to you. But what about your father? Neytiri? I am an outsider. I will be forced to stay here, without you.”
“They love you as their own.” Neteyam argued and tried to bring her back to him. “You are coming.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do.”
Y/N glared at Neteyam, uneasy and breathing unevenly, “I am not a Sully.”
“I don’t care. You are my-“ He cut off. Neteyam unsurely fought over his words.
“Your what? I am not your mate yet.” Y/N reasoned.
“Then I can make you mine.”
“Neteyam, do not be reckless.”
“I am not. I love you.”
Y/N’s hard attitude faltered. “Why?” Her voice broke and hitched all at the same time, and she hated it. Neteyam put his hands on her face and stroked her forehead and cheeks.
“You are everything I want, need and more. You are the person who beat me in tree climbing when we were four and still won’t let me live it down. You are the one I wrestled in the water when we were seven and accidentally went off that waterfall. You are the person who stitched me up after my first official hunt with my dad and told me everything was going to be fine despite me failing miserably. You are the one now holding me together as my world is about to be flipped upside down. You. Yawne. Y/N. I love you because you have been there since day one, without me asking. I am in love with you, I see you.” Y/N was weeping as he spilled his heart out to her. “So, come with me.”
Neteyam led Y/N to the Tree of Voices and brought her into a little area where they could be alone. The bioluminescent rock floor lit up as they stepped carefully on it. “Nete, are you sure?”
“Yes. Never been more sure.” His lips met hers with passion excreting from every touch they shared as they molded to each other. Before long, Y/N connected her queue to his. They didn’t do anything after that simply because they didn’t want to deal with Jake and Neytiri bugging them.
As Neteyam held Y/N, she whispered, “I love you, too.”
——
CUT
We’re here.” Neteyam yelled across his Ikran to Y/N. She looked to where the Sully family was landing on the pale sand and followed suit, carefully being conscious of her aching leg and back. Once she was off her Ikran, Neteyam took her arm and made her stand In between him and Lo’ak. There were boys already poking at Neteyam’s tail and sending Y/N suggestive looks. Y/N hugged herself closer to Neteyam, and he casually slipped an arm around her which made her feel infinitely better.
“What brings you here, Jake Sully?” Tonowari asks the darker blue Avatar. Jake looked down for a beat then back at Tonowari.
“I have come to ask for sanctuary for my family and I. There are sky people after me and I cannot risk them getting caught in that.” He explained. Ronal approached her mate and glared at Jake’s family and Y/N.
“You are bringing war here?” Tonowari questioned hesitantly.
“No, there is no more war.” Jake reassured the leader of the Metkayina Clan. “I just want my family to be safe.” Tonowari looks to his mate who continues to gaze at Kiri, curiously before starting towards her.
“Their arms are thin. And their tails are weak.” Ronal said as she grazed the parts she spoke of. “You will be slow in the water.” She snatched Kiri’s hands and turned them. “These children are not even true Na’vi.”
Kiri gave a mean look to Ronal and fought, “Yes, we are.” Ronal grabbed Lo’ak’s hand next and lifted it up. This made Neteyam to squeeze Y/N closer to him out of instinct in fear Ronal will come after them.
“They have demon blood.” Y/N knew she was done for after Ronal stopped her eyes on her. “But you. You are not half demon. Why are you with these half breeds?”
“I don’t have any parents.” Y/N supplied. “And Neytiri and Jake were kind enough to take me under their care.” Neteyam glared at Ronal as the Na’vi scoffed and returned to her mate’s side.
“Look, look. I was born of the sky people, and now I am Na’vi. All right?” Ronal narrowed her eyes. “You can adapt. We will adapt. Okay?” Jake declared and kept his children and Y/N out of Ronal’s sight.
Tonowari peered at the Sully family and contemplated his decision quickly. “You may stay and you will learn the ways of our clan so you are not useless here.” Y/N snickered with Lo’ak as he said that. “My children will teach you.” His son groaned at his responsibility, and the daughter merely smiled. “Tsireya, lead them to their marui.”
A girl popped out of the crowd and started walking them more into the village. Neteyam kept Y/N beside him incase any of the boys tried anything. Tsireya put them in a marui that was more on the outskirts of the village, and she left them to settle in. Lo’ak set up a rug near the middle while Neteyam and Y/N found a cozy corner(ish) to place blankets. She removed her head piece and her arm cuff and put it in Neteyam’s bag.
“Sully family meeting.” Jake called, and Y/N awkwardly stepped out of the marui to which Neytiri provided her a “really” look and beckoned her back in. “Okay, I don’t want any trouble while we’re here. Be nice and respectful, please.”
“What does your father always say?” Neytiri spoke from behind Jake.
Unenthusiastically every child hummed, “Sully’s stick together.”
“Yes. Now, a little more confidence.” Jake smiled.
“Sully’s stick together.” They all repeated a little louder.
“You’re dismissed.” Jake waved them out. Neteyam and Y/N gave one another sneaky glances before running out of the marui and into the water. Tuk and Kiri went to find Tsireya with Lo’ak tracking behind like a lost puppy.
Y/N and Neteyam stayed near the shallow as Aonung demonstrated how to ride an Ilu. Neteyam went first and completely lost control of his Ilu which made Y/N and Aonung chuckle. Y/N carefully connected her tentacle like hair to the Ilu and saddled it after the connection was made. The Ilu darted underwater, and Y/N hurried to take a breath. The Ilu swam under the reefs and traveled back to Neteyam and Aonung.
“That was insane.” Y/N rushed out as she got off her Ilu.
“It seems I have done what I can. You are a natural.” Aonung complimented Y/N. Neteyam’s tail flicked involuntarily out of pure annoyance.
Y/N didn’t satisfy Aonung’s expectations and awkwardly said, “Thank you.” The leader’s son left, and Neteyam pulled Y/N through the shallow water on his back. “Neteyam.”
“Hm?” He replied.
“Were you just jealous?”
Neteyam halted and tilted his head to stare at Y/N. “Of course not. My tail was just acting funky.”
Y/N snorted, “Funky?” He flipped her off as he waded back to their marui. It was dark by the time they reached the marui and Neteyam’s family had begun eating. “Sorry for being late.”
“You’re fine.” Jake assured. Tuk made Y/N sit by her, and that made Neteyam pout as he was banished to sitting between his dad and Kiri. “So, what did you two do all day?”
“They flirted in the shallow water.” Lo’ak teased and made kissy noises/faces. Neteyam threw a fruit at him, and Y/N blushed.
Lo’ak was swatted by his mother as Y/N properly answered, “We learned to ride and bond with an Ilu. Aonung taught us.”
“Ah, very good. You’re doing better than others it seems.” Jake retorted, and Lo’ak played with his fingers. “The Ilu seem friendly.”
Neteyam nodded and scooted farther out of the circle. Y/N confusedly looked at him, but he just shook his head. Y/N decided to disregard him for the time being and listen to Kiri as she spoke of all she saw in the ocean. Dinner was over and the children were sent to bed. Y/N settled onto her blanket and waited for Neteyam to come over. He soon arrived and laid next to her.
“Can I hold you?” Neteyam whispered so he doesn’t wake up anyone.
“Duh.” Y/N responded softly. Neteyam’s arms wrapped around her, and Y/N’s head rested on his chest with one of her legs thrown over his. They both drifted to sleep as the night progressed and their gentle breathing calmed the world around them, Or that’s how it felt for the duo.
Neytiri studied her son and the girl she’s come to know as a daughter. They reminded Neytiri of her and Jake. So compassionate. Always there for the other no matter what. Jake mirrored Neytiri and watched the pair.
“We were just like them.” Neytiri commented. Jake wrapped his arm around Neytiri’s waist.
“Yes, and now we have a beautiful family.”
“Yes, we do.” Neytiri kissed Jake, and he smiled at her as she led him to their bed/blanket for the night.
——
“Neteyam!” Y/N screamed as she came out of the water after being dunked. He had run away and was hiding behind Tuk. “Tuk, I would move.”
Tuk complied and Neteyam was easily taken down by a snarling Y/N. Neteyam thought she got cuter when she was angry so he smiled when she growled at him and attacked his body.
Before Y/N could further damage Neteyam, there was commotion behind some of the trees on the outside of the village with the voices of Kiri and Lo’ak heard. They both rushed to see what was happening and found Kiri and Lo’ak basically being shoved around by Aonung, Roxto, and two other Metkayina boys.
“Hey! You heard what she said. Leave them alone.” Neteyam pointed a threatening finger at Aonung.
“Oh, big brother wanna-“ One of the other boys started but was cut off by Aonung pushing him away.
“Back off. Now.” Neteyam firmly demanded and returned to Y/N’s side. Aonung put his arms up in surrender.
“Smart choice.” Y/N spat.
“And from now on, I need you to respect my sister and Y/N.” Neteyam declared which made some of the boys hiss. “Let’s go.” Y/N took his hand and Kiri’s and began trekking to the village. But Lo’ak stopped and went back to Aonung.
“Lo’ak.” Y/N warned.
“No, I got this Y/N.” Lo’ak insisted and raised his hand to Aonung’s face. “I know this hand is funny. I’m a freak, alien. But it can do something really cool. Watch. First, I ball it up real tight like this, okay then.” Lo’ak punches Aonung, and Y/N holds her forehead between two fingers. Lo’ak continued punching until Aonung fell. “It’s called a punch, bitch. Never touch my sister again.”
Aonung tackled Lo’ak and the others began teaming up on him so Neteyam jumped in.
“Neteyam, no! This is so stupid.” Y/N yelled alongside Kiri.
“So stupid.” Kiri pointed out.
“Ow, my tail!” Lo’ak bellowed.
Aonung shouted, “My ear!” This made Kiri and Y/N laugh as they boys beat each other up. Eventually, the fight was broken up by Jake and Tonowari who agreed to separately take their sons and punish them.
In the marui, Jake began lighting up Lo’ak. “Really? The clan leader’s son. What is the one thing I told you to do!”
“Stay out of trouble.” His sons responded.
“Right!” Jake confirmed.
“They were picking on Kiri!” Lo’ak defended himself.
“It was my fault. I hit first.” Neteyam attempted to soften the blow on Lo’ak.
“No, no. This isn’t your fault. You gotta stop taking the blame for this knucklehead.” Jake quipped. “Go apologize to Aonung.”
“But father-“ Lo’ak complained.
“I don’t care how. You don’t even gotta say words, just fix it.” Jake said while closing his eyes in frustration.
“Yes, sir.” Lo’ak murmured before leaving the marui.
Neteyam was about to exit too, to find Y/N but his father’s voice stopped him, “What’d the other guys look like?”
“Worse.”
Jake side smiled, “That’s good.”
“Way worse.”
“That’s my boy. Get outta here.” Jake said.
Neteyam proceeded to search for Y/N and spotted her in the middle of a circle of young children. She appeared to be singing an old tune from the Omatikaya ancestors.
“Fortress, hold me high
Forgive my wondering eyes
Eywa, pull me in
Force your love in me again
Find me in the storm
Save me and make me reborn
Help me to my feet
Eywa, oh great mother, take me.”
Neteyam hadn’t heard her sing since the sky people had returned. She claimed she had nothing good to sing about. Y/N glanced to him and waved him to her. The children dispersed after nuzzling her forehead in thanks and admiration.
“You sounded wonderful. Me’lal has competition.” Neteyam said which made Y/N scoff. Me’lal was a Na’vi in the Omatikaya clan known for her soulful, beautiful voice.
“Me’lal has no bearing of even who I am.” Y/N wilted realizing how invisible she was in her clan. “Once you’re old enough, you can take her as your mate.” Y/N jokingly said and Neteyam deadpanned her.
“It was only a joke. I personally believe you are better than Me’lal.” Neteyam replied, and Y/N scrunched her nose at his false comment.
Y/N said, “Me’lal is the best.”
“Hmph, I don’t agree.” Neteyam argued. “I think you are, my oare.”
“The nickname is back?” Y/N mused and cuddled into his chest. The sun went down, and they stayed there until a loud horn was blown.
Neytiri ran to them and hurriedly asked, “Where is your brother?”
“I have no idea. Is he gone?” Neteyam says, and Neytiri nodded and dragged them to where Jake was with Tonowari and his sons.
Lo’ak was soon taken to the front of the large crowd and questioned by Tonowari. Apparently, Aonung and his friends took Lo’ak beyond the reef and left him there, but Lo’ak being a blame taker for once said it was his idea instead of Aonung’s. Neteyam and Y/N exchanged a brief look of disbelief.
“It’s ok, I got this. Thank you.” Jake bowed a bit for Tonowari then snatched Lo’ak’s shoulder and pushed him towards the marui.
“That complete idiot.” Neteyam laughed along with Y/N.
——
“We’re going to the Cove. Would you like to join?” Tsireya suggested to Y/N and Neteyam who agreed and got on their respective Ilus. The ride was peaceful and freeing for all the children.
Y/N was dazzled by the cove and their Tree of Souls which was underwater and shining.
“Neteyam, this place is magical.” Y/N excitedly smiled and went down to the wisps of the tree. Neteyam and the others followed and connected their hair to the branches/leaves. But the visit wad short lived after Kiri started seizing and Y/N acted quickly to pull her to the surface and on her Ilu. “We need to get her back now!”
The group raced to get back to the clan. “Dad! Mother!” Lo’ak and Neteyam were shouting as they neared the village, and their parents were waiting for them as they got off at the beach.
“What happened?” Jake looked to Y/N as he brought Kiri to the marui to lie her down.
“We were at the Cove and we were all visiting Eywa and then she started shaking.”
“Under the water?” Neytiri teared up.
“Yes, mother.” Lo’ak spoke, and Neytiri covered her mouth out of fear and crippling emotion for her daughter.
——
“Can you help her?” Neytiri angrily questioned Ronal who appeared to help Kiri. Ronal nodded. “Out! You are not doing anything!” Neytiri said to the sky people attempting to wake Kiri. They evacuated fast and Ronal moved to their place and began spiritually singing and waving pieces to awaken Kiri from her slumber.
“What if we didn’t move fast enough?” Y/N questioned and looked to Neteyam. He brought her in and held her head to his chest.
“It is ok. We did what we could.” Neteyam comforted Y/N. “Come, let’s go out to the reef.”
Y/N laid against the hard bark of the branch her and Neteyam found on the end of the reef, far from the village and Na’vi. As Y/N looked at the stars, Neteyam stared at her and admired the way she was beautiful without trying.
“Neteyam, do you like that star?” Y/N pointed to a bright, pink star in the sky.
“Mhm, very pretty.” He said, not taking his eyes off her.
“You didn’t even look, silly.” Y/N forced his head to look where she pointed. “See?”
“Yes, it is.” Neteyam commented.
“Are you still thinking about Kiri?” Y/N whispered. “Cause if you are, so am I and we should go back.”
“No, no. I am fine. That’s why we came here. To search for pretty stars.”
“Don’t mock, Neteyam.” Y/N replied and scooted down the branch, but Neteyam instantly pulled her back up to him.
“I wasn’t, my paysyul.”
“It sounded like it.” She caressed his face and put a braid behind his ear. “Did you hear Ngevi has a little crush on you?”
Neteyam counted the sparkles on her face as he responded, “No. I am not interested anyway.”
“Well, why not?” Y/N teased and brushed through the hair on his head. “She is supposedly the best basket weaver which you love doing.”
“I don’t want Ngevi.” Neteyam honestly admitted. “I have someone else on my mind, and she is so much better than Ngevi. A million times better actually.”
“Who? What, why wasn’t I told sooner? Am I not your best friend?” Y/N played along and pulled on a braid and made him wince. “Don’t tell me it’s Tsireya, Lo’ak would murder you.”
“It’s not her.”
“Oh, is it Kewwa? She’s so pretty.”
Neteyam sent her an odd look as she continued to guess Na’vi despite knowing exactly who it is, “No.”
“Really. Hm. Oh, I know. It’s Torei. She is the most wonderful dancer.”
“No, my oare. This girl is very special.”
“Is she from back home?”
“Technically.” He remarked, and Y/N put on her thinking face.
“So it is Me’lal?”
“Nope.”
Y/N pouted then pecked his lips and noticed the sky becoming infinitely darker, “We should go before we’re in a situation like Lo’ak.”
“You don’t want a search party?” Neteyam joked and straddled his Ilu.
“No, and I’ll race you.” Y/N shot back.
“It’s on.” Neteyam laughed, and the two were off back to the village at high speeds on the Ilus.
——
“The Tulkuns have come home.” Ronal happily expressed a few days after Kiri had been revived.
“Tulkun?” Y/N questioned the pregnant woman.
“They are like siblings to the Metkayina, spirit brothers or sisters.” Ronal explained as she rode on her Ilu to meet with Roa, her Tulkun spirit sister.
Y/N stayed back on the island to watch the interactions in awe of the large, sweet creatures. She wanted to be able to be welcomed like that into a family of her own. A mother, father, sister or brother. But she had none of those things. Only slim memory of her childhood before her mother was slaughtered by rogue sky people.
“Y/N.” Neteyam shook her shoulder and startled Y/N from her state of deep thought. “Are you alright?”
“Yes, just thinking.” Y/N mentioned.
“Oh, that’s quite hard for you.”
“Neteyam.” Y/N whined and threw him to the sand. “You are a child with these jokes, a baby.”
Neteyam only chortled and picked himself up. Instead of continuing to think about a family, Y/N decided to be productive and spear fish so the Sully’s could have a dinner worth eating. She gripped the spear and waited for a moderately sized fish came by. Once one did, there was no mercy as Y/N fired the spear right into the fish’s head. Y/N speared a few more before starting to skin the scales off and began to quietly sing to pass time.
“Oh, Eywa, hold on to me
Bless this body and ground
Pull me from the darkest heat
And from the loudest sound
Save me from ache and despair
Watch as I cry for spiritual rest
Rescue me from unloving care.”
“That was lovely.” Neteyam voiced from his seat on the sand.
“I suppose.” Y/N answered and finished up with the fish she was descaling and showed Neteyam proudly. “Six descaled in under 7 minutes.”
“You’re phenomenal.”
“Oh, Neteyam.” Y/N bashfully hummed. He liked his name when she said it. It always sounded like the songs she sings which are beautiful. “What a sweet boy you are.” She stuck her tongue out at him.
“It’s true, my yawne. Whether you believe me or not.” Neteyam told her and helped with carrying the fish to the marui. The Sully family was all there and thanked Y/N for her fish killing.
——
Y/N, the next morning, was awoken by a war cry. Everyone in their marui was running towards the sound which was from Ronal who was being held by Tonowari. Her spirit sister was in the middle of Tulkuns and floating on her side, not alive.
Y/N held back a sob. Maybe never having a family was better. No one to mourn for or to mourn for you when you’re gone. Neteyam embraced Y/N as they peered at Ronal swimming out to Roa with Tonowari, Neytiri and Jake.
“They’re hunting Tulkuns.” Someone said from within the gathering once the clan leaders returned.
“You’ve brought this war here!” Ronal screamed at Jake. “This is your doing.”
“And we are going to fight because we do not hide.” Tonowari declared.
“No, no, that is what they want. They’re trying to lure you out to get to me. Do not satisfy them.” Jake reasoned with Ronal and Tonowari then grabbed the tracking device from Tonowari and put it up for the whole clan to witness. “The sky people wanted us to know who did this. And they’re going to continue if we react. You need to tell the Tulkuns to leave. It is the only way to protect them.”
“Leave?” Ronal whimpered.
“They know our location and will wipe out the population, both Na’vi and Tulkun if they don’t leave.” Jake said.
Tonowari finally nodded and agreed to tell the Tulkuns to evacuate.
“Payakan.” Lo’ak mumbled and Y/N spun to face him. “I have to warn him.” Y/N gripped his hand. “Let me do this. I can’t have him defenseless.”
“Lo’ak! No!” Y/N yelled and ran after him after he shook her hold from him. “Let me help then.”
Neteyam entered the scene and stopped Lo’ak, “Neither of you are going. Lo’ak, I have to keep your ass here.”
“No, Payakan is my brother. I must help him.”
“I am your brother.” Neteyam gritted out through his fury. Lo’ak pushed him away and called for his Ilu and hopped off the netting and landed on the Ilu. “Come on!”
Neteyam and Y/N got on one Ilu and trailed after Lo’ak. Tsireya, Tuk, Kiri, Aonung, and Roxto came along as well. Lo’ak was on Payakan fighting the tracker that was on his back/fin. Y/N hurriedly jumped off the Ilu to help Lo’ak and get the tracker out.
“Guys, come on! Help!” Lo’ak yelled.
It became a group effort very quickly and everyone noticed the approaching RDA boat.
“Who’s the mighty one, now? Huh? Say it.” Neteyam took the time in everyone’s panicked state to gloat at Lo’ak.
“Now isn’t the time.” Y/N slapped Neteyam’s head and looped the rope around the tracking device then connected the other end of the rope to her ilu’s saddle. “Okay, come on. Pull on the thing when I start pulling, too.” She called to the Ilu and it started trying to swim. “Go!” Tsireya and Anoung pulled on it and it budged.
“Call Dad!” Neteyam said to Lo’ak as he helped the clan leaders’ children.
It finally broke loose and Y/N hurried to take off into the water with it. Everyone else got on their Ilus with Neteyam sharing with Aonung and swam away as the RDA submarines came crashing into the water. Y/N dropped the tracking device on a rock and found Kiri and Tuk in the water with no transportation. Y/N snatched their hands and made her Ilu go faster as a submarine almost grabbed them.
Y/N lost grip of Tuk and exclaimed underwater as her and Kiri got stuck in some seaweed. Her Ilu raced to safety, and Kiri connected to the wisps and put her hands and made large tentacles wrap around the submarine then the people in it. The two then went to an air bubble under a plant and caught their breath. “Did you see where Tuk fell?”
Y/N almost screamed when Tsireya popped out under her. “No I didn’t.”
They all looked to the side suddenly when a mechanical arm shot at the underside of their feet. The three Na’vi began swimming away and unfortunately were caught by the RDA and taken the big ship and tied to the railing. A moment later, Lo’ak was tied beside Y/N and Tuk next to Kiri.
Y/N could see in the distance, Jake, Tonowari, and Ronal leading a big squad of fighters. Lo’ak was pulled by Quaritch and his comms were ripped from him. “I know you can hear me now, Sully. I have three of your kids.”
“Four.” Jake retorted, and Y/N put her head on her forearms as she weeped.
“Ah, you claim this one as yours. I remember her, spat in my face.” Quaritch yanked Y/N back by her hair which made her yelp then immediately growl at him. “Ok, I see a little resemblance between her and your crazy wife.”
“What do you want?” Jake asked, knowing the answer.
“You, Sully. Alone.”
“And you’ll release them?”
“That easy.”
“Ok.”
As Jake began to come closer, Payakan shot out of the water and landed on the boat causing the attention to shift to him which gave Jake the time to signal for the army to attack. As the clan was fighting, the five captives were being jostled left and right because of the constant motion of the ship and gunfire. Neteyam managed to get on the boat during the commotion which brought happy tears to Y/N’s eyes. He cut the cuffs from everyone and urged them to jump in the water. Neteyam hugged Y/N and kissed her temple multiple times.
“Spider!” Lo’ak shouted to Neteyam and Y/N.
“Where is he?” Neteyam asked, a light grip on Y/N in fear she would be taken again.
“Captured.”
“Come on then.” Neteyam, Lo’ak, and Y/N traveled to find Spider and break him free. Y/N last second grabbed a gun from a fallen soldier on the ship and showed Neteyam. He rolled his eyes and held onto to his knife. The four crawled above the pipes where Spider was. On Neteyam’s signal, Y/N shot at the people in the water while Lo’ak made some of them fall in the water. They all ran behind a wall once Spider was retrieved and Y/N made them run info the water first before herself doing so. “Y/N, hurry!”
“Neteyam…” Y/N softly says. She starts to drown a bit and Neteyam holds her up as he searched for the problem.
“No, no, no, no. No!” Neteyam bellowed as he found her bullet wounds. “Hurry! The rocks!”
They got on the rocks and laid Y/N in a puddle of her own blood. She coughed some blood up and tried to hold Neteyam’s hand. He grasped it tightly.
“No!” Jake yelled when he dropped down to them. “Where does it hurt?”
“It’s ok.” Is all Y/N said.
“No, Y/N, sweetie, stay with me. Neteyam, where is the wound?” Neteyam pointed to her lower torso and her leg. “Tsireya, keep pressure on the one in her leg.” He then checked if there was an exit wound on her torso and didn’t find one. “Ok, ok, ok, Y/‘N hold on for me, please, ok.” Lo’ak kept pressure on the torso bullet wound.
Neytiri dropped from her Ikran and exclaimed, “No! Y/N! Daughter! Please, good mother!” Neytiri held Y/N’s face with gentlenesses unmatched by man. “Please, please.”
“Tiri, I am ok.” More blood came up with Y/N’s short statement. “Don’t cry for me, please.”
“No…” Neytiri painfully whispered. Jake pulled Neytiri out of it and convinced her to stay strong and help go get their daughters. “Stay strong for me. Strong heart.” Spider went with them.
“Will- will you sing for me, Nete?” Y/N mumbled to Neteyam. His tears clouded his vision as he nodded at her request.
“Eywa, oh, good mother
Take me by the hand
Sister and brother
Let us join hands
Sing to the one around us
In us, above and below
The all knowing
The bringer of rain or snow
Give me strength
Keep my heart flowing
Help me see again.”
“Me’lal would be jealous.” Y/N weakly joked, and Neteyam chuckled. “So, I saved you. Finally.”
“Silly girl.” Neteyam put a braid behind her ear and grazed her cheek with his thumb. “You will not do that ever again. So reckless, stupid.”
“Don’t describe my heroic moment as those words.” Y/N tried to lift a hand but couldn’t by herself so Neteyam helped and raised it to his face and held it there for her. He could feel the fragile curl of her fingers against his face. “My Neteyam.” He closed his eyes at her words and felt a tear run to his chin. “You are- are like Neytiri.”
“Hm?”
“Crying for someone who doesn’t deserve it.”
“You deserve everything good, including tears, that the good mother provides for you.” Neteyam scolded her basically, and Y/N smiled with a solid effort. “My oare, you have blessed my life.”
“Neteyam.” Y/N whimpered. “It hurts.”
“I know, I know. I am here.” Tsireya pushed harder along with Lo’ak.
“I wanna go home, please Neteyam.” Y/N sobbed and choked on her own blood.
“Get her up.” Lo’ak said and pushed her to a sitting position to which Neteyam went behind her to hold her upright. Lo’ak applied the pressure again. “Neteyam, I need to go help Dad, ok stay with them and apply pressure on her torso.”
Lo’ak was gone before Neteyam could utter anything, but he got past that and did what Lo’ak said. Tsireya distracted Y/N with stories from her childhood and tales of the Metkayina clan.
It was becoming lighter in the sky by the time Jake, Neytiri, Kiri, Tuk, Lo’ak and Spider came back to the rocks.
“How is she holding up?” Jake questioned as he stood above Y/N.
“She’s pretty bad. We need to get her to Norm.” Neteyam directed his father. Neytiri loaded Y/N on her Ikran with Neteyam holding up the rear so Y/N didn’t roll off. Until Norm could fly out to them again, Ronal bandaged Y/N the best she could and prayed to Ewya before giving Y/N back to the Sully family.
“Neteyam.” Y/N prodded as she traced his palms.
“Yes, my Y/N?”
“Will you take me to see the stars when I am better?”
“Of course.” Neteyam assured the girl in his arms who has yet to be treated properly by Norm.
“Norm’s here.” Norm announced himself as he ran into the marui.
“Don’t leave me, please, Neteyam.” Y/N begged him.
“I am not going anywhere.” Neteyam promised.
Norm put a breathing mask over her nose and mouth and started the operation of extracting the bullet from her torso and leg. Eventually, Neteyam was told to leave because he was stressing Norm out with his heavy breathing. Jake had to pull his son away from the girl and hold him outside the marui.
Norm came out of the marui after a few hours and said she is stable and the bullets are out, but it might take Y/N a while to wake up. Neteyam sprinted back in the marui to see Y/N laying peacefully with leaves and blankets surrounding her. He softly placed her body on his and allowed her to heal. Ronal came once more to give Y/N the best chance of fully recovering.
A day later, Y/N opened her eyes and found the Sully clan asleep next to her. She couldn’t exactly life herself so she poked at Lo’ak who was oddly closest to Y/N. He grunted and looked at who was sticking him with their pointy fingers. And after he saw who it was, he gasped and launched at her and gave the gentlest hug of her life.
“Why are you awake, skxawng?” Neteyam jostled awake from his spot at the side of Lo’ak. When he saw the excitement leaking from Lo’ak’s face and the girl he loved beaming at him, he shoved his brother and wrapped his arms around his Y/N. Giving her a million smooches all around her face and hair. “My love, my paysyul, my oare, my everything, my Y/N.”
“Wow, that’s a lot of names for me.” Y/N giggled and kissed his lips delicately and deeply. “My Neteyam.”
“I have never been more happy!” Neteyam grinned and continued holding her to his body intensely.
“Oh, you didn’t find a replacement?” She joked, and he just lightly squeezed her side and shook his head, chuckling.
“No one could ever amount to you, my yawne.”

friends?
neteyam sully x fem!navi!reader
summary : Neteyam and Y/N have been dancing on the edge of friendship and love for too long. Factors play in to make them confess their undeniable feelings.
——————————————————————————
“What a sight!” Y/N whistled as she caught Neteyam and Se’ii, an Omatikayan girl, in a compromising position (she is touching his arm). The two give her horrified looks, and Y/N snickered, “I am only teasing.”
“You better be.” Neteyam huffed as he walked to Y/N’s side, leaving Se’ii to stare at him longingly before she left, which Neteyam didn’t notice, but Y/N did.
“She likes you.” Y/N told him. “Give it a shot.”
“No, she is not my type.” Neteyam shrugged off his best friend’s suggestion and continued his way to his family’s home. “She is too talkative.”
“I am talkative, and we are best friends.” Y/N scoffed while taking the lead to High Camp. Neteyam clicked his tongue as his ear went back in slight annoyance.
“You know it is different with you.” Neteyam justified and hopped onto a floating platform and helped Y/N to it once she caught up. “I like when you talk. Se’ii not so much.”
Y/N gave him a harsh look, “That is just plain mean, Nete.” He pulled on her tail and disregarded her words. “She is trying to gain your affection.”
“I don’t want it. And I don’t want Ney’et, Baila, or anyone else’s affection. I am fine how I am.” He listed off be other girls who have tried and failed to capture his love. All brutally unsuccessful since he doesn’t give them a fair chance anyway.
“Those girls were all perfect options to be your Tsahik.” Y/N spoke as they reached High Camp and entered his family’s tent. “Beautiful, smart and polite.”
Neteyam simply flicked her forehead and sat on a blanket and stretched his legs out. “Too bad for them, I guess.” He laid down his upper body and patted the cushions next to for Y/N to come rest beside him.
“You are unbelievable.” She said and did as he requested. They turned on their sides to look into each other’s eyes when they talked. “Ele’hi talked to me today about becoming mates.”
Neteyam raised his nonexistent eyebrows and smirked, “And?”
“I declined his offer.” Y/N informed and picked at the string on a purple cushion. He gazed at what she was doing and grabbed her hand to stop her from ruining the cushion completely. He then pulled the hand up to where his heart would be.
“Why?” Neteyam whispered to his best friend of eleven years. She stared at their entangled hands and pursed her lips.
“Didn’t feel right.” She mumbled back. “I knew I wouldn’t be truly happy with him.”
“That’s nice, that you know.” Neteyam assured the slightly frazzled girl. “I can’t imagine actually turning down someone offering that to me.”
“Yeah, because you don’t even give the opportunity.”
Neteyam dragged her closer and put his arm around her waist. “You are too concerned about my love life.”
She placed a braid behind his ear as she replied, “Curious about your interesting dating tactics. They’re clearly not working.”
“Hey!” He laughed, and she beamed at his easygoing tone. “I don’t need a mate when I have my best friend right here.”
“That’s not the point, Nete.” Y/N reprimanded him and fiddled his the choker he wore on his neck, the blue bead being her main focus. “Soon, your parents will force you to have a mate.”
Neteyam stared at her fondly and traced the freckles on her face, “Maybe not.”
Y/N shook her head and eventually snuggled into his chest and shoulder. “Stupid boy.”
The day passed on with Neteyam talking about this pool of water he found near the old shack, and Y/N listening intently. But Eywa was against her as Y/N’s eyes slipped shut and her breathing slowed. Neteyam noticed immediately and just pulled her tighter, sensing the exhaustion in her body. His family came in and out, leaving once they saw the sleeping girl.
“Oh, Nete has a little girlfriend.” Lo’ak wooed, and Kiri slapped his forehead. “Ow!”
“Will you be quiet? She is sleeping.” Kiri uttered and perched onto a wooden stool next to the fire in the middle of her home. Neteyam thanked Kiri in his mind, but unfortunately that didn’t stop Y/N from waking up and letting out a tiny groan. “Great, you woke her up.”
“Lo’ak, you idiot.” Y/N joined in on making fun of her best friend’s brother. She lifted herself up and stretched her arms up. “That was a nice nap. Thank you Neteyam for being my pillow.”
“Any time, my fpom.” Neteyam said and got up as well. “Are you eating here tonight?”
“No, I must return home to my mother, she will be worried if I stay.” Y/N pouted and tapped his hand twice before leaving the Sully residence. Neteyam watched, lovingly, as she walked out of sight. Kiri and Lo’ak chuckled as their brother was so obviously whipped for the Na’vi girl.
“No Y/N?” Jake questioned as he came into the tent with Tuk holding his hand, Neytiri not far behind them.
“No, her mother wanted her home.” Neteyam supplied the answer and proceeded to take off his arm cuffs and knife sheath. He always left the choker on because Y/N and him made it together when they were around twelve, and he wanted her with him, at all times, no matter the way.
Lo’ak teased his brother, “And now he is sad. His girlfriend has gone away.” Neytiri pinched her youngest son’s ear, and he whelped.
“She isn’t my girlfriend.” Neteyam huffed and sat next to Kiri. “We are friends.”
Jake and Neytiri shot each other glances and kept quiet because they didn’t want to urge Lo’ak on and upset Neteyam further.
“Anyway, Grandmother has had Y/N take up jobs in the healer’s tent, and she is doing wonderful.” Kiri complimented her friend. “A natural.”
“That’s great to hear.” Jake placed a hand on Kiri’s back. “Y/N will help the clan tremendously.”
“Yes, healers are Eywa blessed.” Neytiri slyly commented at Neteyam and brushed past him to retrieve fruit. Neteyam looked at his parents with confused eyes.
“What a thought.” Lo’ak cryptically spoke.
“What?” Kiri sassed and rolled her eyes.
Lo’ak hummed, “Y/N would make a good Tsahik.” Neteyam dropped his jaw and shook his head.
“You people are insane.” Neteyam hissed with his family all holding in laughter. “Why are all of you trusting to set me up with Y/N?”
“No reason, my son.” Neytiri rattled her eldest son’s shoulders before the whole family heard an uproar outside. Jake and Neytiri sprinted to see what all the shouting was about. Neteyam trailing, hot on their heels.
“You absolute vonvä’! What makes you think you can touch me? What is wrong with you!” Y/N. Neteyam knew her voice like it was his own. He and his parents found her in the center of a circle with a bloody nose and red knuckles. Na’vi were holding her back from Ele’hi who was visibly beat up and angry. “I cannot believe you!”
“Hey, hey, what’s going on here?” Jake boomed over the group of Na’vi. They all stopped conversing and stared at their leader. All eyes turned to Y/N, still shaking with fury. “Y/N?”
“This dickhead over here decided to unrightfully place his hands on me, so I showed him why I am the best warrior of my age group. Simple self defense.” Y/N scoffed and tore her arms from the people holding her. Ele’hi threw his hands up in the air in disagreement.
“Did you touch her?” Neteyam furiously asked. Ele’hi widened his eyes and began apologizing. “That’s not how this works. Apologize to her.”
Ele’hi spun to Y/N, but she didn’t care for an apology and swiped past him to the healer’s hut. Jake dismissed all the people gathered and followed Y/N with Neteyam and Neytiri.
Mo’at was tending to her nose and fussing about the how the blood was everywhere.
“Y/N.” Jake barked at the girl, and she snarled under her breath. Not particularly at him, more at the situation. “What happened?”
“I told you.”
“There is more, my child. I can feel it.” Neytiri’s hand went on Y/N’s arm as the girl inhaled deeply. Neteyam stayed silent and to the side, consumed with rage.
“I denied being mates with him earlier. Clearly he didn’t accept no for an answer.” Y/N clenched her fists but whimpered after they hurt to close and reopen. “I am not some fil. I cannot be manhandled by some ignorant boy.” Tears were streaming down her face, and Neteyam’s heart broke as a sob escaped Y/N’s throat. “He said I was worth nothing. I was only around because of Nete. He called me a prince’s whore.” Y/N broke down in the tent, and Neteyam quickly cradled her as she weeped relentlessly. He soothed her head with strokes of his hands and whispered “you’re ok” into her ear.
“Y/N, did he hurt you more than we can see?” Jake fumed. Y/N through her tears only shook her head “no.” Mo’at resumed her cleansing of Y/N’s knuckles and ignored when Y/N would sneer from the pain. “Who are his parents?”
Neytiri responded, “Kwisla and P’lae.”
“Damnit, those are some brave warriors.” Jake cursed and put his hands on his head. “Sucks they have an awful son.” Neytiri nodded and helped her mother with Y/N’s injuries. “What do we do?”
“He gets the shame of being disrespectful to Y/N.” Neteyam firmly said. “You could also ban him from hunts for months.”
“Not bad.” Mo’at snorted and finished up with Y/N before telling her grandson to take her home safely. Neteyam did and Y/N’s mother, Beysr, thanked him endlessly. When Neteyam returned to his family, his parents waited up for him so he could most likely express his feelings.
“What are you feeling?” Neytiri used her calming voice like she does with Jake when he is stressed. “There is no need to keep it in.”
“I can’t stand her being hurt. She doesn’t deserve that, and that boy is disgusting and yaymak. He doesn’t deserve to live any longer. He touched her! Put his filthy hands on her! Didn’t show respect.” Neteyam exclaimed with his feet pacing the floor. His siblings were sound asleep by this point in the night, and he was happy for that. “When she cries, I feel my soul in pain.”
Jake rested his hand on his son’s shoulder, “Neteyam, you love her.”
“Of course I do. She is my best friend.” Neteyam mumbled. Neytiri lightly smiled at her son’s cluelessness yet knowing nature.
“Neteyam, you know what your father means.” Neytiri clutched Neteyam’s hand. “She is more than a friend to you.”
“She doesn’t feel the same.” Neteyam hung his head dejectedly. “She goes on and on about the girls I could be dating.”
“She is projecting.” Jake claimed. “You two are the perfect match.”
“Are you sure?”
“You have to know that for yourself, my son.” Neytiri squeezed his hand one more time before she and Jake went to their bed. Neteyam thought on what his parents revealed and found it to be true.
He did love her more than a friend. She was his life. His breath. His reason. His soul. And everything in between. She was his everything. She knew him more than anyone else, all his regrets, secrets and mistakes and loved him for it anyway. She was the one. The only girl right for him. Ever. And he had to tell her. Once he knew his mother and father were sleeping, he creeped out of his home trekked to Y/N’s.
“Y/N.” Neteyam murmured into the tent and opened the flap, and Y/N whipped her head to him from where she was standing by the fire, thinking. He waved her over, and Y/N went to him without question, but not without glancing at her mother for a brief second. Neteyam eyes flickered to her mother too, but he just grabbed her hand and pulled her to a bioluminescent bridge right outside camp.
“Why have you brought me out here, Nete? If my mom finds me not home, I will be skinned.”
Neteyam breathed deeply before bringing her hand up to his heart, like he did when she was napping, and Y/N flashed her eyes to it then directed her stare at his bright, glinting eyes. Y/N awaited his response, but all he could do was marvel at her beauty. Her perfectly braided hair, her deep gold eyes piercing through him, her freckles lighting up like a constellation, her blue lips slightly hanging apart, her body naturally standing so strategically on the bridge. So instead of words, his other hand brought her closer to him, and out of habit Y/N planted her arm around his back. Y/N was the smallest bit shorter than him and craned her neck backward to look up at him properly. His lips grazed her cheek, and Y/N shuddered moderately and gripped his back steadily. “Is this okay?”
“Yes.” Y/N hushed him and removed her hand from his chest to his face. “Is this what you brought me out here for?”
“Mhm.” Neteyam now was the one shush her and smashed his lips on hers. The molded closer and touched each other ,respectfully, all over. Their mouths moved in sync together and their hands were freely roaming. “Y/N.”
“Neteyam?” She replied and kissed him again. He couldn’t force his Y/N away, and now that he knew her kisses were ethereal, he added them to the list of why she was the one for him. “So, is this you saying you like me?”
“Silly, my love, I love you, I am in love with you.” He corrected Y/N with a soft grin. “I see you, my Y/N.” She giggled and covered her face as she blushed. But he didn’t have any of that and moved her hand out of the way to look at her slightly shaded face. “You are beautiful.”
“I see you, my Neteyam.” She returned the statement and pecked his cheek. The fresh lovers stayed out all night, exploring their new love relationship. It wasn’t much different from their best friend relationship though. The two didn’t think of the consequences of when they returned in the morning to High Camp. “Our parents are going to kill us.”
Neteyam nuzzled his forehead into hers. “I do not care.” She pinched his arm and started running back home. It became a race quickly and by the time they reached High Camp, their shrieks of laughter could be heard by everyone in the Hallelujah Mountains, including Jake, Neytiri, and Beysr. The three were rage filled as their children came basically bouncing in wrapped in each other’s arms.
“Neteyam!” Neytiri shrilled, and approached her child with Jake and Beysr following. Y/N and Neteyam peered at one another, both on the verge of chuckling at their situation. “Where were you?”
“Fantastic question! What is this?” Beysr said, tone drowned in venom and pointing at Neteyam and Y/N holding hands.
“I did what you told me to.” Neteyam defended, and Jake softened his stance after that. “I confessed how I felt.”
“That doesn’t mean sneaking out and being gone until morning.” Neytiri hissed at her son, but let up a bit after she realized how happy he looked being simply next to Y/N.
“Your actions have been unacceptable.” Beysr called to her daughter, and Y/N put her head down. “But young love only happens once, so I’ll allow it. Just once.”
Neytiri, Jake, and Beysr beamed as Neteyam and Y/N shyly smiled and tugged one another closer.
From inside the Sully tent, Lo’ak and Kiri high fived.
