Relating to this AU: it’s also one of the biggest differences between AU Jeremy J. Sullivan and Canon Jeremy “Scout” Jones.

It’s not just a one person difference. It’s a whole other life they’ve had. AU Jeremy isn’t just Scout with a dad, it’s Scout with a mom who has a husband . It’s scout without his older brothers. It’s scout growing up insanely rich.

Late night Drabbles here so I’m not sure how telligible this will be in the morning BUT

I think one of the biggest reasons Scout is the way he is is because he had 7 older brothers who were canonically all brawlers and fight-pickers as well. The whole reason he got fast was to be able to Get A Single Hit in before they finished him off.

Anyway, my hc is that he basically went through life with little to no consequences for most of his actions. Aside from his Ma, he just didn’t get the re-enforcement most kids do from authority figures.

Imagine you’re a School teacher and you’ve taught 7 of these kids. By the 8th, you’re not only going to be worn down but you also have the other 7 looking out for their baby brother’s back.

Basically, Scout got accidentally spoiled + most of the adults in his life when he was growing up (besides his Ma) gave up on him before they even met him.

This is also why his ma is the only person he automatically respects and obeys. Like, he’s the nastiest little pest to literally everyone else but the second his ma asks him to do anything he goes “Yes ma’am! 😇 anything else I can help with?”

The man with the familiar voice—(It was driving Jet insane. Where did he know this guy from?)—suddenly placed a hand on his back. Jet had no idea how he’d gotten behind him. The man gestured to the rest of the room. “Plenty of people you could ask here.”

Jet squinted at him. “Okay. First, you’re a guy in a fancy suit and a ski mask running around the desert stabbin’ people. You’re far from sane yourself, pal,” He snorted. “Second, I may have completely lost my mind but I’m still smart enough not to trust a word any of you freaks say.”

I have planned out a whole plot to this and we will be seeing both the canon mercenaries and the mercenaries in this world! We'll also be seeing Pauling, Saxton, and The Orchestrator/Administrator.

My forte is in writing and not art so the story is MUCH further along than the comic is.
