It was bound to happen. I ended up making a not-entirely-a-fankid-really between Hunter and Smoker. I named him Foster as in foster kid following the creative naming system in the ladyverse.

Foster is Hunter’s distant relative she’s never met, a second cousin once removed sort of thing. His parents have fallen on financial hardships and need a place for him to stay for like a year while they get their shit together. What made his parents decide on the two less than approachable queer ladies without a single maternal bone in their body? -shrugs- but Hunter likely owes something to this relative and feels like housing their kid for a bit will make things even lol.

In this AU Hunter and Smoker are probably married and living together in a slightly bigger apartment, but I imagine they keep their relationship to themselves (in Smoker’s case) or inner circle (Hunter). Smoker is a bit less uptight having become used to Hunter’s constant presence, but there’s still a bunch of unspoken rules that Foster has to learn upon living with them.

Thankfully he’s more the quiet, observant type so he won’t disrupt Smoker much other than with his presence.

They definitely don’t see him as a son and he definitely doesn’t see them as parental figures, just stranged aunts he’s stuck with while he’s feels resentful of his circumstances, but I like thinking of them getting to a point where they get along lol. Then the zombie apocalypse hits and they’re stuck with each other for realsies.

Howdy! apologies if this is rude but i'm just curious about those Left 4 Dead OC"s of yours! i remember first seeing them when i was a lot younger, used to look up fanart of left 4 dead on my ipad and still got images of those characters saved. was wondering if you could share any deets?

I have a few little info things about them! I might as well put them all together in one post, haha.

Since my friend @quonit got me to watch My Little Pony with them I’ve started thinking about @zarla-s’s Ladies living in Ponyville and how we can 100% picture them as characters. I mostly used this as a reference for the designs

Hunter being a rowdy Pegasus would fly through Smoker’s window countless times while doing parkour (wing parkour?). We went back and forth on this one because, is parkour really impressive if you have wings? Plus earth ponies have the extra strength. But in the end I agreed with Quo on Hunter being a Pegasus because it suits her, and she can always bandage her wings to her body whenever she wants to experience the thrill of doing parkour on land.

Smoker is a unicorn. There wasn’t much of a debate, we unanimously agreed to this. Uses her magic for casting lit cigarettes out of thin air, as well as retrieving objects she’s too lazy to pick up herself. If it’s not in her mouth, her cigarette floats nearby, close enough for her to inhale it when she needs it. Hunter most definitely shames her for being so lame when using her magic.

Pony versions I did for the ladies on pony.town for fun lol. That is a character creator I drew none of these

Hunter - Pegasus! She does enough parkour she's earned her wings. Gray and black for coat and mane rather than green because I still like her hoodie seperate. idk cutiemark lol

Smoker - Unicorn, so NOW she can be even MORE LAZY! lol. She is green bc variety in color, her shirt is green, and she's not supposed to be the most attractive so making her a less popular pony color makes sense to me. cutiemark temp music note bc she builds her vocabulary around musicals XD I'll pry think of something cooler later

Charger - Earth pony! Extra strong, got the scars all over her body! Elephant cutiemark like the zoo patch.

Jockey - Looks most like she'd fit into MLP world with those bright colors XD I debated pegasus or earth pony but for now it's just earth pony. Braided mane and tail. idk cutiemark

Thirteen years the ladies have been around! Always there, just hanging about, haha. I recently picked up Aseprite and I wanted to give it a try, and I was always intrigued by those pixel landscapes that had lots of moving pieces all at once. I didn’t understand how they did that until I picked up Aseprite and saw the timeline feature! I might fiddle with it some more as time goes on. In the meantime this was a fun change of pace, I haven’t done in-depth pixel work like this in a while. It’s meditative in a way.
